In the "Non-Host" competition, the award would go to esquire (3.15x), who managed the same thing. Slumdog Millionaire?
...Well, at least two of people on the show are going to be.
This week, The Amazing Race took the teams through the Obligatory India Leg. Compared to other seasons, the traffic and travel was relatively tame. It's amazing what happens when you don't go through Mumbai on a busy day.
In the end Christie/Jodi just couldn't make up all the time and got eliminated. They actually had a pretty good leg too, considering the Speed Bump.
Week 6 Results
1st place - Tammy/Victor (2x)
2nd place - Mel/Mike (1.4x)
3rd place - Lakisha/Jennifer (1.2x)
4th place - Margie/Luke (1.1x)
5th place - Cara/Jaime (even)
6th place - Mark/Michael (.3x)
7th place - Christie/Jodi (0x)Staying PAT
Overall, the ranking didn't change too much. Probably due to the fact that only two people guessed the PAT correctly, which limited the huge gains for the week.
Speaking of which, the PAT is one of my favorite bonus games, because it's so pointless but fun to root for. To be sitting at home, hooting and hollering at the screen over who's going to finish 4th. And seeing Lakisha/Jennifer, Margie/Luke, and Cara/Jaime all heading there at the same time. It was definitely more exciting than the race for first, that's for sure.
This week's Perfect Bet Award
...But I guess that's not such a bad problem to have. 
Speaking of which, the Greatest Gainer Award goes to esquire for climbing 12 ranks to #13. He completely demolished Jims02 in this category, who only climbed a pitiable 8 ranks.
Hey, I rarely score well at this game, so I'm going to take the shout-outs when I can get them.

This would normally be a pretty boring payout table, but with the comps, it takes very little for 2nd place to slide below 3rd place payout.
Bonus Game - Lucky 7!

In this bonus game, the object is to add to 7. That is, players wager on a pair of teams whose final ranks will add to equal 7. That means, you're looking to pick either the pair that finishes 1st/6th, 2nd/5th, or 3rd/4th.
It doesn't matter what your expectations were. If you were going for 1st/6th and they finish 2nd/5th, you still win. Basically, if they add to 7, you win points. If they don't, you lose you wager. Simple as that. Just like in craps.
Remember, your bonus wager is on a pair of teams, so don't forget to put both down. It doesn't matter if you made a regular wager on them all ready. These picks are completely separate from those.

Wrong Answer - 0x
Oh, and you can only wager on one pair of teams. Multiple bonus picks would get too complex, even for me.

I know you were excited about your perfect bet award (congratulations)...but my seriously imperfect bet last week had one little point on Margie and Luke for the PAT. (Unless I'm making this up because I'm desparate.) There's a stiff competition among those of us in 30th-plus place, so this is really meaningful. So, if you agree that I have 10 points instead of 3 - here's my bet for this week (finally admitting that Mark and Michael are going nowhere and just have no idea): 9 points on Mel and Mike If you don't agree, then just 3 points on Mel and Mike. It's funny. When I came up with the comps idea before the season started (and realized we had to go No Limit for it), I didn't think about how it would make scoring a little trickier. I had to add extra fields for comped 1st and 2nd places, and make sure I change the payouts for each comped bet.

It works both ways beau. Last week, I had a last minute urge to switch my PAT Bonus to Margie/Luke. Had I followed through, I would have scored big. This week, I had a last minute urge to change my Lucky 7 Bonus to Margie/Luke & Tammy/Victor. Had I followed through, I would have changed from a winning bonus pick to a losing one. There can be regret either way.
