Another numerologists dream date. (Now if they could actually get a date!)

Next one of these won't happen until 01/01/2101.

Anyone have plans for this special date?

I am going to a celebrity wedding. And sleuths want to guess whose wedding?

Yes, that was an easy one (I realize after seeing pictures in the paper). He wore #12, so fitting for him.

My DW used to cheerlead with the bride (Kim) back in the early 90s. Apparently they dated back then (when he first came to Toronto), but broke up. The story I heard was that a couple of years ago when Roberto's agent was teaching him how to use a computer, and Facebook specifically, h asked him "which old friend would you like to look up" (or something like that). He reconnected with Kim, and things proceeded. This must be very strange for her partially because of Roberto's past (and I REALLY don't want to get into that) but moreso because of his fame. When they go home to Puerto Rico he literally stops traffic and crowds swarm.

Should be an interesting wedding. Roberto works for the Jays again, and I am expecting a lot of former Jays from the World Series days to be there. It is a black-tie event, so even us schleppy non-celebs (I am just an "and guest"!!) have to wear tuxes.

public video of the event.

I am just to the left of the left-most bridesmaid, but no close-up.

This reminds me of a movie I'd like to see yet again after so many years, The Dirty Dozen.

I was glad you didn't say Cheaper by the Dozen.

You did pretty good yourself with all 12's (with a couple of zeroes tossed in)!

With this, I'll claim the 12th post.

Locally, there are people scheduling still more weddings for this day, and kids who have their twelfth birthday get their pictures in the paper. There's also more than a few casino promotions based around hoping gamblers will feel this is a lucky day, followed by their turning out to be horribly wrong.

Roberto Alomar, huh?

*clamps down on instinctive Mets response*

*grits teeth*

That's -- nice.

My 12/12/12 started off poorly. I apparently forgot to set my alarm last night and woke up an hour late. I haven't done that in years, and normally wake up right before the alarm goes off anyway. Had to get the kids ready for school and myself ready for work in thirty minutes. Yay!

Perhaps, unless (fingers still crossed) we can count 2/2/22.

Yawn. 12/12: boring. 12/13: much more important to celebrate.
