"Larissa CHOSE how this would all end.........."

Posted by packard56 on 03-02-04 at 03:32 AM
Being an AJ instead of a hunk made me root for Brian
just like most of the rest of you tonight, but one
could see all along that Larissa would choose the
himbo, just like the even more shallow Melanoma did...

I would not be so hard on her though, because I am
sure that the "Larissa being dumped by Gil" because
of her affair with Fabio scene would not have been aired
without her permission. She might just be more
perceptive than some of us think, perhaps wanting
to let us know that even Beauty Queens get dumped
some times. IMHO, Brian lost when he came close to
using the "L" word, because Larissa is used to being
worshipped by guys like Brian all the time. Beautiful
women want the guys who are a challenge to them, and
the emotionally unavailable Gil was much more of a
turn on for her..................................

The other thing was that none of these guys were
right for her, and 25 year old hotties are more
interested in fun than a serious relationship. My
advice for Brian (or a millionaire Brian type) is
to wait a few years if a Larissa is what you are
looking for...... When she is 30 or so she will be
much more interested in what you have to offer!!!

Also a lesson or two from the Old Professor at Likis 101 is what most of these Average Joes need before they meet the girl!!!

OMG ... A disciple of Tom Leykis! Love it! lol

Gil and especially Jim probably have a Doctorate in Leykis. As for Brian, he deserves better.

RE: "As for Brian, he deserves better." Professor Leykis
would disagree, subscribing to the theory that "Nice guys
----and especially Red Sox fans----always finish last!!!"

But I am not the total cynic that the Professor is, still
being in a 23 year relationship with a woman who was,
and for her age, still is a very attractive lady. But
I didn't meet her until we both were in our thirties
and some other bridges had been burned. My advice to
Brian is to keep trying; Larissa actually was trying to
help him grow up a little...... And given Larissa's
true interests, a visit to the Boston Museum of Art and
the City's historical places might have accomplished
more for our guy than that visit to Fenway Park!!!

But Brian was the Red Sox, and the hunks were the
Yankees!!!

Brian telling Larissa that he want to take to to a museum, then brought her to Fenway Park was a bad idea. First of all, it was a bad idea because he was thinking of himself instead of her. If he really like her, he should take her to an art museum. Secondly, it showed her that he played around with words too much. So she may have a hard time believing him when he gushes over her on national tv.

First some one needs to convince me that Gil dumping Larissa WASN'T stagged. This supposed secret has probably been known by the producers for awhile and they wanted her to tell the guys at some point. That secret was going to get out there, how was up to Larissa.

I couldn't agree with you more on the compatability of these guys to Larissa. There should have been more artitists in the AJ's with similar personalities. The himbos had the collective personality of a group of rocks. When given the choice of taking a himbo with no personality or AJ's who have personality but are to different from her Larissa did what any one would have done.

Brians a good guy and this exposure will allow him to find a more compatible woman.

I'm a Joe and I didn't get married until I was in my 30's and my wife was in her late 20's and looking to settle down with a good man.

Who or what is, the Old Professor at Likis 101 ?

I was about to ask the same question. Can someone explain who this professor is?

Radio Schock Jock Tom Leykis would school these Average Joes
on how to get the girl!!! The horrible little secret is that
neither Larissa or Melanoma were going to go for the "nice
guy" who fawns or gushes over them, as both Brian W. and
Adam M. sadly found out....... Yes, they both went for the
hunks, but note that they also went for guys who were less
emotionally available to them than the others. By holding
back, or even treating these gals as if they are not so
hot, the winning guys each presented a challenge to the
girl who chose them. Each guy acted like he was "hot stuff,"
and made the girl feel like it was up to her to win the guy
over!!! If one of the Average Joes was decent looking like
Brian and Adam and had the guts to put Larissa or Melanoma
down, according to Tom Leykis, they might have gotten some
action here...... When these girls are more ready to really
settle down, they might make wiser choices, but remember,
behind the need to be a beauty queen is a lot of shallowness
and insecurity!!!

Staged indeed. Did anyone believe Gil could possibly be upset because she once dated Fabio?? What does that have to do with anything???

It was a big joke.

I agree. When Larissa dumped Tony, an artist with whom she had an early romance -- an actual romance, not a guy she felt sorry for, like Brain -- I knew it was pretty much over for the Joes.

I totally agree. I think most women after about 30, tend to start looking for more in a man than abs. While looks may be a consideration still, we do get more interested in personality as we get a little older.

Yeah. Whose idea was it to pick dudes of a marrying cap and pair 'em with a gal who's obviously not out of her going-out-on-the-town years? Even if they were all himbos, she wouldn't have chosen a dude who was obviously scouting for a life-mate.
