"Broken Foot" or "Broken Arm"

Those should've been the two Detour Options this week. Most of the teams opted to squash the fruits (no, that's not code) which ended up cutting up their feet, due to the rocks at the bottom of the bins. Supposedly, they were for tearing up the kiwis, but I have my doubts about that. Other teams went windsurfing, in which Starr ended up breaking (or hurting) her arm.

It's Season 13, folks. Nobody makes it out alive.

Except for maybe Marisa & Brooke, who were eliminated, but whatever.

Riding the Ken/Tina Train...

Another week of wagering went by, and the majority of players drank the Ken/Tina Kool-Aid of Prosperity. And justifiably so, since they snagged another 1st place finish. We saw a few different strategies this week as well. We had a few players make all-in bets on one team, and others wagered on only two.

We even saw a couple ballsy players wager on four different teams, sometimes maxing their bets on several. And others (namely, Quepea) spent a point on a double cheeseburger. Or it was banked. I don't remember what happened.

Unfortunately, we had one more player bust out of the game, dragonflies. Dragonflies has been a player for several season now, so it's a bummer to see a seasoned verteran bust out of the game. But, like others who busted already, I might call on them later in the season for a bonus game. Thanks for playing, dragonflies!

The Perfect Bet Award of the week goes to three players, Snidget, SilverStar, and Silver03, who each doubled-up with Ken/Tina bets. Obviously for two of them, being silver is the key to success in this game. Special mention to CTgirl and 5cats, who both made max bets on three of the Top 4 teams. Now that's just gutsy.

Fine. The Greatest Gainer Award goes to both Quepea and SilverStar, who both moved a cool 9 ranks. Incidentally, this is SilverStar's second GGA in a row. Nice job, both of you!

5cats jumped into the lead this week, due to those extra wagered points, but it's still a close race for the top spot. At this rate, SilverStar's going to be #1 in two weeks, so it's probably all a moot point anyway.

Bonus Game - It's PAT!

As usual, when we reach seven teams remaining, it's time to play the PAT bonus game. For this bonus game, you have the option to make a separate wager on which team is going to be the Painfully Average Team or PAT this week. That's the team that finishes right smack in the middle of the pack. In this case, the team that finishes 4th this week.

Now, it's an optional game, so you don't have to wager any of your points if you don't want to. This is a wager that's separate from the rest of your regular bets, so you can just use all your points on the regular game. If you do play, remember to label the bet as "PAT" or "Bonus" or something. And remember to put the number of points you want to wager.
