Randi says her older brother needs this money more than anyone. Wouldn't it be great if the spoiled brat ruined everything and didn't get the money.

Mom, surprisingly, is doing her best to suck up her snottiness and be a MOM.

The brats are driving me nuts. This should really open Randi's eyes to her family.

Mom is trying to talk some sense into the idiots.

"If this is what she wants...you have to be at that wedding." She's telling them she would never turn on them if they disappointed her.

In the preview...are the boys wearing skirts with their tuxes? LOL!

I think this was the best yet! What's with that wanker of a big brother?!

Pat: I'm not going along with this because I can't sneak into her bed at night and daddy says she's the best french kisser...ever!

This family is seriously inbred, but I had a modicum of respect for the parents tonight. The siblings...holy crap. My sibs could have cared less when I announced I was getting married. It's a bit to creepy. And what's with Bruce's refusal to call him anything but 'Steven'?

The previews for next week...bwaahahahaaa....I'm gonna miss this show....

Best scene award goes to: Tux shop burlesque!

Edited to add: and the stripping lessons!!

My boys love the show, too...and they both asked what a placenta was...ACK! Didn't expect that one.... (just told them 'trust me, it's gross and you don't wanna know...and they hushed right up...hahaha) Steve's mom is so insanely random..I love it...between her and the sister, there's just no end of laughs. ("One day we're all going to DIE!")

But the pole...hilarious! The mom almost managed feigned interest for a moment or two (but i think the pole would end up replacing that 2x4 up her backside)

When are her dad and siblings going to realize that this is not their decision, this is not their wedding, and this is not ALL ABOUT THEM?

Did anybody notice how much beer big brother was guzzling at all hours of the day - I think he has way more problems than his sister marrying a bozo....can you say INTERVENTION, please??

I noticed that too tamisue! That brother has more problems than we can cover in an hour. Too bad the other siblings were so influenced by him. I'm thinking that if I was the parent I would be more embarrassed by how my three other children were acting than by my daughter marrying an obnoxious guy. Could they be a little more self-centered?? Bravo to mom for putting it on the line to them, but I think they needed a wake-up call a long time ago!!

Heh, the brother seriously CREEPS me out. I mean, i'll be direct, he's like, first. "IT's hard for me to believe she's in love, it really is.." I almost wanted to add. "she can't love anyone after me!!!" Seriously, the way he seems to vehemently hurt her, by saying, "I 'm not gonna support you or be there," and the other siblings seem to be following his lead.

I won't say there's some kinda inbred thing going on but his whole behaviour, does kinda remind me of someone who is jealous.

Never mind that. It does seem to me something is seriously up, and if they are a terribly traditional family, it seems to me that they are watching themselves carefully.

Ugh, it's almost painful to watch. And Yes, the brother does scowl quite a bit, as well as drink and growl. "No, NO!"

Pat is so self absorbed. I think he is worried that if Steve marries into the family that Pat may lose some of his control. Steve is bigger than Pat and Pat wants to be the big man in the house. Poor little Patty. He needs the money the most and he lives at home with his parents and drinks beer all day.

I know! This is turning into The House Of Yes. The next thing you know the brother will be dancing around the house dressed as Jackie O!

You'd think that as much as the brother drinks, he would find some of what Steve does as funny.

Have any of the siblings every REALLY TRIED to find out what their sister may find fun in Steve?

Now, to chastise Randi a minute or so, she needed to market her fiance as fun and loveable, not just "I love him", "It's meant to be". She isn't convincing in the least to me, much less people who know and love her.

She should have come off with the love struck "I'm in love with the college life-of-the-party dude". Too much seriousness, that isn't playing out to be genuine at all.

Now howabout Steve's mother saying she has a pole in the bedroom, I really think that was funny, and to hear Catherine tell her husband about it......

Love this trainwreck.

I'm just waiting for the big twist. There's gotta be one. It's frustrating waiting though. I'm sure FOX loves that.

I thought the show was a little boring last night and I tought this was the worst one so far. We need less family members crying and more of Steve being "Rude" and "Obnoxious"! Yea, the Tux Shop scene was good, but that wasn't until 35 minutes into the show. During that part, was it just me or did Randi's Dad actually seem to be enjoying himself at times and actually thought some of the antics going on were funny?

Funniest part though had to be when Steve's Mom asked if they could serve Rice Krispy Treats and Hot Pockets at the Wedding reception!

One more thing, from Randi's talk with her Dad, so Randi lives and works in Scottland? I missed the first episode. That may be when they talked more about this.

I think he said Scottsdale (AZ), not Scotland.

I agree--this was a boring episode, although it had to be. If Steve had carried on like he had been doing, the family would have walked. At least the mom is trying to keep everyone in line with her fierce determination not to see their family humiliated.

Umm, note to self: to avoid humiliation on national television, don't go on a reality TV show that airs on national television. Just a thought.

OMG, I laughed so hard when the Mom was whispering "pizza pocket rolls and rice crispy treats" The looks on Mom's face are so priceless.

So, what's wrong with pizza pocket rolls and rice krispy treats at a wedding.........

Yeah, this episode kinda made me look like a chump! I kept telling my mom how hilarious this show was and that she just had to watch it because it was so funny. Then when she finally agrees to watch it- it's the 'serious' episode! There were a couple funny moments, but definitely not the uproarious hilarity we've seen in the other episodes! I think she liked it though, she will probably watch the finale.

...is starting to remind me of the circus that was my own wedding.

As mr lights and I have watched each week there have been so many times we've looked at each other and burst out laughing because the show was hitting so close to home. My family is like Randi's in many ways and when they were thrown together with mr lights' family (who may be even stranger than Steve's family) it was a recipe for disaster. When they were doing the moose imitations we could totally see my in-laws pulling that in front of my parents. We pictured my parent's horrified expression and were ROTFLOAO!

Disclaimer: mr lights is neither fat nor obnoxious.

>Disclaimer: mr lights is neither fat nor obnoxious.

So, in other words, he's big?

I hear ya, Lights... it was like that for my first wedding as well -- my ex's family were more tightly wound up than a fly's butt, but were all over the place, while my family is loose and humourous but very kept-together.

>So, in other words, he's big?

Only where it counts.

My parents are somewhat prim and proper, totally law abiding, non-swearing, tea tottlers while mr lights' family are the polar opposite of that. Me? I'm somewhere in the middle.

Let me just say that any event that includes both sides of the family under one roof makes me extremely nervous. Our 25th anniversary party last year went surprisingly smoothly but my friends all commented that they could definitely tell who was who. I can completely sympathize with Randi.

LOL! I was laughing with my DH about the same thing, except, I was the one nervous about my family doing something embarrassing at my wedding.

You might want to rethink visiting me Lightsy MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I am begining to wonder if there isn't another twist? Here's why!
Randi's family has been set up as controlled by the mother and father....Before we met them she said that dad would be really tough. That he ran the family. He was ex-military. Ran a tight ship. We were told last week that mom was incharge of the family...Yes contridiction, but more importantly.....The kids seem to be incharge....If Randi's dad is in charge, he would take the three siblings aside and tell them to straighten up. If mom were in charge she would do the same.....
Here is the speach.......Look, your sister is gettting married. I don't like it, but she is! Now get your as*'s down there and support your sister. Pat, don't you understand. In a few years you are going to bring home some skank that Randi and the rest of the family doesn't like, but we will support you. If you don't support your sister I am going to make your life's a living hel*..... And Pat if you look at me that way again I am going to knock your teeth out with that beer bottle you have in your hand!

So I guess what I am saying is are these "strong parents" really all that strong, or are the kids so spoiled that they are really in control?
Maybe this whole show is just being staged for WCH benifit.

I can't help but think the Coys should be the next Dr. Phil family.

Just so picture perfect on the outside, but behind closed doors it's probably WWF. I think the parents need to go to Enablers Anonymous, while Pat is at AA. Bobby, run for your life-of course he may be suffering post traumatic stress syndrome from all the nonsense that happened in their schools years back.

Melanie, do you do anything but cry? Do any of the Coys know how to have fun and laugh so hard their gut hurts?

Get out of your Lexus and cruise around in a Ford Fairlane or a Nova.

You know, I was waiting for that myself.

Tell the little bastids to suck it up, stop whining, and drop the idea that you have voice in your sister's marriage.

I expected to hate the parents, and they are actually coping with the situation. But the children are monsters.

Personally, I think the very best twist would be to have Steve walk out on the wedding saying that he just cant handle Randi's family.

The louder he talked of his honour, the faster we counted our spoons.
