Right there, watching Jay Will say that very sentence as he sat atop the very crotch rocket motorcylce that would end his career a month or so later was one the eeiriest moment I've ever seen on television....especially as a lifelong Bulls fan. You just know the producers LOVED the fact that they could throw that bit of gratuitous footage in there.

Cool episode from a personal point of view, besides the JWill thing...I'm from Deerfield and the guy they statyed with in Deerfield is an old friend that I graduated high school with. Haven't talked to him in a couple of years so that totally came out of the blue.

Also, living about a half mile from Wrigley over the past 8 years let me just say that the one thing you learn as soon as you move to Chicago is that if you park your car in ANY strip mall (not just the 711 in front of Wrigley) you better walk into the store as opposed to across the street or else your car will be booted within 5 seconds....they have guys who sit in the parking lots all night just waiting for that very scenario. Then they make you pay about $125 to have it removed.

Believe me when i tell you that that horrible feeling was definately felt by the two teams. I think we all were very quiet during that part of the show. Also very saddened. Jay was awesome with us (team cake) we spent quite some time talking to him. Our hearts are with him definately!

I'm glad you're enjoying the show, Mr. Chessmaster. And thanks for the perspective on Chicago.

I don't follow basketball that much, so I didn't recognize Jay Williams and put it together with the accident. I agree, it would be creepy for those who knew.

"question for cast"

Hey Kristen, Greg or AnnMarie,

What date was the competition with JWill? I'm trying to figure out when that was in relation to his accident. Based on the fact that you guys attempted to attend the Cubs/Brewers game the day before I've narrowed it down to two possible dates..either early May or mid to late June.

Up here, all the stories said that JWill only had the bike about a week prior to the accident so that would put us at the June date since he had the accident right around the end of June. But, on the other hand, that seems a little late to be filming considering the show started airing in the beginning of July.

If you guys were here in May that would put some big holes in all the reports about him only having the bike for a week.

Just wondering.

Hmmm...Not unless they were referring to that particular bike he had the accident on. I'm sure he had more than one bike??? It was early May when we saw him. He really was a cool guy. I was trying so hard to shoot like a champ and you didn't see, but I had a few good shots...he made me feel better and was like, no Annmarie, you've got some game! He was so nice! He could have easily made fun of me royaly! We still have our fingers crossed for him.

June 23 -- Jason Strait, The Associated Press
Williams was riding a new Yamaha sportbike that he purchased last week when it slammed into a pole late Thursday afternoon on the north side of Chicago.

June 27 -- AP
The former Duke star and college player of the year bought a new motorcycle June 12 and one week after the purchase, he slammed into a pole on Chicago's north side, putting his promising future in jeopardy.

Looks lika a bike purchased after your visit with him, as you suggest.
