An anchor is a principle or main support.
Encore is a show biz term meaning to repeat a performance or an additional performance.
Just saying.

"Anchor" is our term for encore. It was created when a poster had a brain cramp and used the word "anchor" in place of the word "encore", and as is the case with stuff like that, we jumped on it and it stuck.

Perhaps a bit of lurking would help before posting corrections to others' word usage.

Thanks Nailbone - actually I've been lurking for 4 years and this is the first I've noticed that anchor was used. Perhaps it would have been helpful if the original correction contained this info.

BOOT: Zayra or Jill. After watching the original songs performed on the web, I think those two have the least potential and Supernova has GOT to be thinking about those performances.

But as long as it contains those four and one of them goes, I'm happy.

Anchor goes to Lukas. Time to give Lucky Charm his moment. I don't necessarily think anyone was anchor worthy this week, but oh well.

I really don't know who Supernova will send home. It could depend on who gives the best performance. Or it could be a whim they have at the moment. After Zayra not even hitting the bottom 3 last week. They may boot her if she is there this week for fear she is building a fan base and they will be stuck with her. I do think a female goes home. I think even if Josh is in the bottom 3 he will survive.

Anchor: Lukas. I hated it, but Supernova's blindness to his pitch will lead them to reward him for opening up his pipes by giving him the encore. This will lead to me fast-forwarding through it on the TiVo in order to not have to live through that again.
