"Apprentice #5 Episode #3 East Coast Spoiler Thread"

Please keep all the play-by-play on the loss of NewsomeWayne's summary virginity on this thread until the judges manage to figure out exactly how they're supposed to give out their scores without being sent to jail. Oh, and if you want to talk about tonight's airing of Donald's DAWs, that's fine too. This episode has been brought to you by the number 2 and the word 'Oy'. Thank you.

(Okay, people -- let's all look at how Newsome's set himself in front of the television, then criticize his position on my go. In three, two, one...)

It looks like Brunswick, GA is going to be searching for a new mayor. One who doesn't get his financial advice from seven year-olds. As opposed to Donald, who's looking to choose a company president from a bunch of people who act like seven year-olds.

Brunswick could be in trouble.

Also, I have never really felt sorry for anyone losing their virginity but to this carp...OY!

Hush, you: given that both yourself and the soon-to-be-former virgin were the lucky recipients of a #2 seed, I don't want to hear a word of complaint from either of you for a week.

Hey, I won't mention the #2 seed...I haven't figured it out myself.

I guess Newsome has a whole lotta Brent bashing to do.

Wow, I didn't expect to see my hometown mentioned here!

I've lurked on this board for a while, but thought I should register after seeing Brunswick mentioned. Brunswick had a contestant on both "Deal or No Deal" and "Jeopardy!" tonight.

Oh, and I thought he was crazy for not taking $190k, but he went away with more, so it all worked out...

Hey there! Welcome to the boards!

He pulled it out in the end, and the luck of the draw gave him a good deal, so the question now becomes: how much of that is the town getting?

Before the game, his wife said, "If he wins the million, half is going to the city; if he wins less, we'll see."

Lee, Dan, and George are all taking the task off for the New Year. Donald doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Lenny does, but Lenny seems to think he's under mortar fire.

The task is to talk up a new model of GM car to GM salespeople at a corporate retreat: get the point across the best, and you win. Gee. Getting the point across. Looks like Brent's doomed.

Andrea's crying jag has led to her to pursue the PM position for Synergy. Pity she didn't have a full-fledged nervous breakdown, or she'd be the winner by now.

She also said earlier if they lose she will only take herself & Brent to the BR!

Synergy: Andrea ~ the crying fool

Gold Rush: Theresa ~ the small brain, which should be bigger than her boobs (according to Lenny)!

Lenny: "I wish her brain was as large as her boobs." bwahahahah

"Yeah and..."

too bad it isn't!

"RE: Line of the night"
Posted by Estee on 03-13-06 at 09:10 PM
Gee, and I just wanted to kill him. And then bring him back. And then kill him again. Not that he doesn't have a point of sorts, because Theresa's being way too scattershot on her plans and there's no theme -- but I still want to kill him three times. Minimum.

Meanwhile, Andrea's giving Brent busywork, and Michael just came up with a killer theme for the car: 'Nature refined.' As buzzphrases go, that's an ad campaign right there. Anyone else think we've got our task winner?

"RE: Line of the night"

As long as the phrase "nature" doesn't have anything to do with bathrobes...

I have it on good authority that Brent's gut is all-natural.

And Brent eats, and eats, and eats again. Slurping his drink as he goes. Ewwwwwww.

So what did he say about their plan? All I heard was "...combine ruggedness" ...and something or other!

Lenny, who's supposed to be setting up the stage area for the car, has somehow forgotten that his area requires electricity and didn't bring in a generator. Bryce fixes this with a phone call, which Lenny resents. Bryce and Tarek are digging holes in a sand pit for use as the end target in a putting green, 'cause they weren't allowed to order Astroturf. Theresa's not feeling very well.

Meanwhile, Andrea's going with the nature theme: rock climb, skeet shooting -- oops. No shooting in the park. Anyone got a Plan B? Is anyone -- flexible?

"RE: Apprentice #5 Episode #3 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by mysticwolf on 03-13-06 at 09:18 PM
O.K. Can anyone think of any public park that allows skeet shooting - without a range, I might add? Anyone??? Didn't think so. WTF were they thinking?

Great shot of the kid watching from across the lake. I wonder how many hours after the retreat that was? Did anyone count the number of times his buff changed color?

Posted by Estee on 03-13-06 at 09:21 PM
But Andrea gets the save with -- golf cart racing!

What does 'nature refined' have to do with golf cart racing? Doesn't matter, as long as it's a chance for overgrown kids to crash into each other. Whee!

Isn't that a little bit cruel to the sharks? Grease -- additives -- cholesterol -- Brent's a heart attack waiting to happen.

"RE: Apprentice #5 Episode #3 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by mysticwolf on 03-13-06 at 09:34 PM
Oh, no. They'd never actually eat him. People don't taste good. But the bite would be enough. (We do have hope. Those are Bull Sharks. They are a species known to bite people.

Damn. He made it in & out, much to our, and the team's dissapointment.

Theresa, Lenny, and Tarek in the Boardroom after one of the biggest messes of intelligent debate I've ever seen on this show. No one could get a point out. There were plenty of things wrong on that task that Donald needed to hear about -- but in the edited portion we got to view, none of them ever came up. I think Lenny was the only person who got to finish a sentence, and that's mostly because he was cutting everyone else off. The generator, the no-theme theme, the Astroturf cut-off at the meeting -- all left to airtime and kept out of the Boardroom.

According to the editing, Donald's going to base his decision on Lenny's comedy skills. Feh.

Posted by ARnutz on 03-13-06 at 09:49 PM
Tarek is making a good argument. Theresa is not looking good. Lenny is actually keeping quiet! Hmmm... listening to his own advice (to Summer) and not standing out.

DT asks Lenny who should be fired and Lenny says both! DT says not a bad idea! Why isn't Charmaine here?

Theresa is fired!!!

Tarek says he'll step it up!

"RE: Apprentice #5 Episode #3 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by volsfan on 03-13-06 at 09:52 PM
Funny how Charmaine got no mention all the way through until the last 30 seconds and she should have been fired!

"RE: Apprentice #5 Episode #3 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by ARnutz on 03-13-06 at 09:53 PM
Oh! ...well, you know, all of that stuff was edited out!

"RE: Apprentice #5 Episode #3 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Estee on 03-13-06 at 09:55 PM
Donald logic: Charmaine hired a bad comedian. Charmaine hired models who weren't properly educated as spokespeople for the car. Charmaine wasn't in the Boardroom. Therefore, Theresa is fired. And delusional, because her taxi ride speech makes her out to be the greatest loss to business since the end of pillaging. But she's still fired.

Not that she deserved to stay, because this one wasn't Tarek's fault, and it was only Lenny's on the smaller scale. But we've still got our sub-theme: things not said are fatal -- or people who aren't there to say them.

Hi UDG!

Yup, that's a reason to cry! Heck, Andrea showed us that the mere act of Brent entering the room is reason enough to cry!

Hmmm... Brent kind of resembles that dancing bear, except the bear doesn't have a bathrobe!
