..I was searching for Contender Updates and i ran across an interesting article on MSNBC.com...here is very important snippet...

"Executive producers Sugar Ray Leonard, Stallone, and Mark Burnett are reportedly talking to ESPN about taking the series to the cable network for a second season. And NBC has said they haven't officially turned down the show yet. Last week Burnett told the New York Times that a renewal announcement was "highly likely" last week. There hasn't been word yet, but all of these seem to add up to a return for "The Contender."

I thought NBC cancelled the show, but it seems like they are changing their minds now..lol...

it would be great news if there were to be a second season!!

Yeah, but that article is a month old. Those guys have a habit of shooting off at the mouth -- "There will be a second season"; "There will a July 5 pay-per-view"; "There will be a card of rematches" -- and nothig happens. I wouldn't read too much into that article, just add it to the pile of rumors and counter-rumors.

heyy im not 2 worred about there not being a second season the way brunetts talking about it. I belive i read in a artical that it was brunetts favorite out of all his work.
