LAST EDITED ON 04-26-01 AT 01:36 PM (EST)Omi's thread started wandering in a different direction, so I thought I'd make one here.
There are six left:
Wolf..............Moretty
Jackson...........Whitlow
Moretti...........Brown
We also can surmise these things based on the fact that the game is heavily, heavily FIXED and true spoiler/speculation is difficult if not impossible.
1) They're keeping the genders as even as possible.
2) They truly follow the Survivor mold in that someone is featured during Week X, then booted in Week X+1. This has been true of Yaney, Hutak, Haar, Lauder, Thompson, Coddington and Meyer, and to a lesser extent Pupo.
3) They also try to follow Survivor in misleading us during the episode as to who will really be voted off. Unlike Survivor, however, they are failing miserably at doing it. Either the editing is poor and we're not seeing the important stuff, or they think we're as dumb as the recruits.
As to the six left, it is a men vs. women scenario for the most part, with Whitlow and possibly Moretti as wildcards. The only true wildcard, Yaney, was unceremoniously and injudiciously dumped last week for no apparent reason by Coddleton.
We saw a lot of Whitlow this past week. That, combined with her injury, makes me believe that she might be the next to go. Who will she pull? One of the men (of course). We saw a good bit of Jackson, as squad leader. Moretti and Wolf were under the radar. Brown might pick Moretti, Moretty would probably pick Wolf, and Whitlow???
All three men have been squad leader. So it very very likely will be one of the women to be squad leader. The closing credits suggested laying down on the job. I didn't see an orange shirt, so I'll go review the tape in the next couple of days.
Who will the Final Two be? It is very unclear, partially because it's fixed, and partly because I'm not sure whether we'll see two men or a man and a woman. Why do I say this? Because the Gauntlet is going to be physically challenging and (no offense intended) a man is going to do better in most physical challenges, especially with the three men left in this game.
This is a general outline of what is going on. Please add your commentary and feel free to dispute anything I've said above (just don't start namecalling ) I was hoping for an exciting conclusion to Boot Camp, but it clearly has disintegrated into a ridiculous, poorly edited and obviously fixed program. I'll keep watching out of morbid fascination and the desire to see these idiots suffer at the hands of D.I. McSweeney, but I'll be glad when this is over.
