(I'm not sure if I should post this but I felt the need to!)
I was just a sprig of a chimp...just 17 years old (in ape years). Mom was going on a 3 week trip to see my aunt, uncle, and cousins and brought me along for a High School graduation present. It was a great time!
We went on the World Trade Center tour to the 101st floor. I was amazed. I took these pictures!

*sigh* Going counter clockwise, a view of "the Harbor", a shot of the Brooklyn Bridge (closest) and the George Washington Bridge (???), a different shot of the harbor with the Verazzanno Narrows Bridge in the background, and the sculpture in front of the WTC with a colored and a white hand inter-twined in the shape of the world (rather ironic).

The last one is some flowers in my garden as a tribute to the people who died!

*goes to work in his garden and not listen to anymore news today*

Monkey, I have some of these same shots of my visit to the WTC. This was a good thresd; a nice tribute to the buildings themselves and your flowers a wonderful memorial to the people who died. My heart aches seeing these pictures, but I still feel compelled to go back & look at them again.

I don't have any pictures to share...but I do want to share my memories.

I was just at the World Trade Center in April. It was my first trip to New York. My boyfriend was there for training for work for three weeks and my mom and I went to visit him. His classes were held on the 68th floor of 2 World Trade Center. One of the nights we were there we ate at the top of one of the buildings at a restaurant called "The Best Bar on Earth" I think. Really yummy food and an AWESOME view. When I first got up there it was windy and I could feel the building swaying...it was a weird feeling to be that high up and have the floor swaying underneath you.

After finishing eating we went over to the top of the other building and the observation deck. It was so beautiful! I was in the midst of falling in love with the city and to see all the beautiful lights on a clear night was awesome. I felt like I could see all the way back to South Dakota from up there. It was nice to be on top and in the wind...not inside windows like at the Sears Tower.

I have some great memories from a great place, which made it extra hard today to see those wonderful buildings full of people come crashing to the ground. I pray for everyone touched by this tragedy.
