Episode Twelve

Welcome to this week’s SOTS. We’re getting right near the end with this being the second-last episode of the season. Who will be the final four from the five remaining Chuay Gahns: Brian, Clay, Helen, Jan and Ted?

Let’s remind everyone about the various voting threads we’ve got going – after you read this SOTS, please head on over to post your votes.

We’ve got the SurvivorBlows Tribe, It’s Time To Vote! thread.

dabo has his two poll threads up: the Reward Winner Poll and the Immunity Winner Poll.

Of course, there’s also the home page of Survivorblows.com for the general public to vote, look for The Survivor Poll on the right hand side of the website and tell us who you think will be the 12th person to be voted out! The more hits for Webby’s site, the better it is for all of us.

The Warmup:

Discussion for this episode got rolling during the Ep. 11 East Coast Spoiler Thread – one particular hot topic was Brian’s TC comments dissing Jake before the vote took place.

We were also given the title and synopsis of Episode 12 by zzz, Ep12 (Dec 12) Title: The Tides Are Turning. Much of the speculation on this took place before Episode 11 actually took place, but one theory brought forth by mistofleas is that the tides is flowing away from one obvious alliance but flowing towards a less publicized alliance. She speculated then that the ‘towards’ alliance could be Jake and a CG if he survived the last episode – he didn’t, but this could still mean we start to see a mostly-hidden alliance between 2 CGs coming out of the woodwork.

ejm92 brought us Jake’s Early Show interview. One possible spoiler of note that several people debated on, in particular by weltek and Brownroach: “Jake said Jan was the only one who didn't seem interested in winning the game..."

In the same thread, dabo posted Jake’s CBS Chat.

If you still care, George Tirebiter has the SeeBS EYEmail here.

The Vidcaps:

Where would the Spoilers board be without the weekly vidcaps?

Bungler has two vidcap threads going. Check them out at:
Ep 12 (Thurs) Preview Vidcaps
Ep 12 (Web) Preview Vidcaps.
There is considerable discussion going on about the “BHT” letters being drawn in the sand.

On to the Spoilers for this week.

TrueDorkTimes has come out with a major scoop that Brian and Clay makes the final two. Outfrontgirl’s Final Two per TDT thread is now in it’s second week of discussion. This is about as big as you can get in terms of spoilers.

ejm92 brings us a discussion on CBS Misdirection, Episode 12, where the wording of CBS’s webpage promos are analyzed.

Krautboy says that Immunity is the Key. A speculation on who wins immunity is very well-explained here.

Who’s staying or who’s going?

frisky brings us Brian’s Big Plan. We’re seeing how Brian is supposedly playing the game and what kind of bonds he’s got with the other CGs. Another thread devoted to Brian’s gameplaying is here, The real Brian, by barrymore.

esquire asks, Does Ted Go?
Krautboy is in agreement: It would happen as a result of Clay winning Immunity ("Here we go again, the circus is coming") ... and Brian collecting on the debt of gratitude Helen owes him ("she owes me").
Ted is trying to take the game into his own hands...(“Feeling rebuffed by a former ally, one Survivor hatches a plan and enlists the support of unlikely new allies.”)

tahitigal muses, Does Clay have a chance of winning? Assuming the TDT spoiler is true, who on the jury would vote for Brian and who would vote for Clay?

Cowboyroo analyzes Helen’s actions and her husband’s comments to theorize whether Helen finishes 3rd?

Two older threads that might be worth revisiting…

Is there a Jan/Ted Alliance? from GuessItRains.

This one is two weeks old, but mindella’s CHEWIE ALLIANCES REVEALED thread had a pretty heavy discussion of who might be hooking up with whom.

An interesting article was posted by Boilermaker: Helen Providence Newspaper article. At first, we were led to believe that Helen’s comment,
The finale will be stirring, she promises.
Her recipe for success is guaranteed, she boasts.
The conclusion will be sweet, she vows.
Bottom line, she says, "It's under my control."

may have some significance but then it was seemingly debunked by waterbug. However, SurvivorNews has apparently picked up on this article and used it to base some of their predictions. Do they know something that we don’t or are we one step ahead of them? Welcome to SBlows, waterbug!

Let’s look again at each of the final five and why they may/may not stay or how it might impact on a final jury vote, lifted from snooch’s Episode 11 SOTS thread:

Brian
QuartzEye posted some post game pics on the EZ board of PornoBrian MUCH thinner, they are no longer being hosted or I would have linked them.
Harsh words from Ken lead many to believe these two had no time to reconcile on the jury

Clay
Self-proclamation of “You won’t believe how far man from Louisiana goes”
Claims to have lost 30+ lbs
Guest at Penny’s Wedding
One of Erin’s Friends.

Helen
Weight loss of 35 lbs
One of Erin’s friends

Jan
Returned to school noticeably gaunt
Hiding items displayed on her mantel
One of Erin’s friends

Ted
50+ lb weight loss

The End Game Spoilers (looking ahead to the final episode)

North of Boston brings us a synopsis and title of the final episode, Last episode summary: Indiana Jones.

forehead also had posted a synopsis of the final episode, Episode 13 Title: Survivor Thailand (untitled).SurvivinDawg discusses MB’s Editing, and the Finale and says, [I>So I think MB has hidden the truth in plain sight, rather than blatantly misdirect us. I also think that MB has been working on Survivor VI, and his "crack" staff has been doing a lot of the editing.

Brownroach sees a possible spoiler in the Opening Credits where it’s mentioned that only Brian has a colour photo (and fire) while each of the other CGs have a black and white photo. Make something out of it if you want. Or not. Hmmm.

Booted has a theory of who are The Final 3 and why.

For those of you who like to check out opinions from other Survivor spoiling sites, we’ve got Snewser’s Scorecard (which hasn't been updated for this week as of this posting) and TDT Spoilers.

Paratrooper’s theory that a Sook Jai wins is now history.

Last of all, if you’re relatively new to this place, please take the time to read the Spoiler Forum Guidelines.

We continue to have people completely ignore these guidelines and post up duplicate threads that only get locked. I’ve noticed that there are sometimes really good information posted in locked threads but they get passed over because it’s in a duplicate thread. Please, please… read and read again and then if you’re sure nobody has a thread on that subject, go ahead and post a new thread. Otherwise, please let’s try to keep things clean and organized – you’ll have more readers for your great theories/ideas/spoilers.

Also, please remember that the great majority of leads we’ve got are based on solid speculation and circumstantial evidence – you will very rarely find (if ever) definite proof of something that is going to happen, but the purpose of the spoiler board is to put arguments out there and see if people can debunk it or support it further and then base our decisions on who’s going to get booted from all the discussions taking place. It would be boring to me if spoilers were constantly handed to me on a silver platter – I like to think and mull over spoilers to try and see where it gets me, so much more satisfying to actually spoil by coming to a conclusion on my own.

Have fun spoiling the show! Don’t forget to vote on the four voting links I’ve provided at the top.

SOTS is provided by SurvivorBlows.com as a service to our readers. The purpose of this post is to consolidate the threads in the Spoiler Forum pertaining to this week's episode. Feel free to reply to this post if you feel that a theory you support was not adequately represented in this message... Please use this thread for unified discussion of all topics as we approach the next episode.

Excellent SOTS, Pepe! Thank you! Having done one of these, I know it is as much work as I always figured it would be, so thank you excellent job well done! This should be a lot of help to me in the next hour or so.

"If all machines were to be annihilated at one moment, so that not a knife nor lever nor rag of clothing nor anything whatsoever were left to man but his bare body alone that he was born with, and if all knowledge of mechanical laws were taken from him so that he could make no more machines, and all machine-made food destroyed so that the race of man should be left as it were naked upon a desert island, we should become extinct in six weeks." I was out of the loop this week due to no electricity. I then was swamped at work due to the days off and was unable to read all the threads and posts.

This very comprehensive SOTS took care of all my questions.

Thanks again. The SOTS writers this season have just been great!

Absolutely fabulous job stinky! I've been so busy this week this is the first time I've even had a chance to look at the boards so Muchos Gracias for your hard work on pulling this together.

AND might I just say my heart did a little leap when I read:
...but one theory brought forth by mistofleas is that the tides is flowing away from one obvious alliance but flowing towards a less publicized alliance. She speculated then that the ‘towards’ alliance could be Jake and a CG if he survived the last episode...

I made it into the SOTS!! (Yeah I know Jake didn't make another episode, let me have my moment.)

I'd like to thank the academy...*wink*

Great job Pepe! (and I didn't let my impatience get the better of me this season) I know what a monumental task the SOTS can be and you did an excellent job of organization! A big thank you to you!

No kidding... I've got MY own power and work issues to deal with, that's why this came up this morning instead of yesterday!

And SurvivaBear... lol, thanks for your patience!

Actually, the SOTS was a piece of cake by comparison to everything else going around -- 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. workdays and paperwork to do, etc. The whole SOTS work took probably 3 hours from start to finish (including the reading of threads). Good thing - in a way - that the boards aren't as busy as in past years or I'd have been even more behind.

Thanks Pepe for the SOTS and given me some "props". **wipes away a tear*** I'm touched!

Fantastic work, Pepe, in a difficult week!

I'm delighted to be mentioned in the SOTS, but I should point out to all that I wasn't too serious about the "Opening Credits spoiler", since I don't really put stock in those theories myself. And, having only noticed it for the first time last week, I'm not 100% sure Brian IS the only CG with a color photo, but I think so.

That's OK, Brownroach... my job is to put out all of the potential spoilers, no matter how minor it may seem -- you never know when it might be useful and perhaps someone out there has a vidcap to compare with.

Thanks Pepe, this was a glorious SOTS. Thank goodness someone created SOTS.
