"Scott's Radio Interview: "There's No Doubt About It""

Here is the link for Scott's radio interview. He comes off as kind of a tool. He says "there's no doubt about it" at least 12 times!

(all right, I realize this probably makes me a bigger tool for actually counting).

Don't know if this is kosher to post the link so I apologize if it's not.

He seemed like a nice enough guy in the interview. Why don't I like him?? I can't figure it out. I always feel like he is lying, but I don't know why I feel that way!

Do you really think that he and Holly are trying to work out a relationship? How can he be the most disappointed in Dave? The others were such jerks! I think he won, and that is why he won't say bad things about the other people who voted for him to win.

This makes me think that he did NOT win, because why else would he be trying to milk this relationship if not for publicity? Holly is an amoeba.

This makes a huge amount of sense, especially if Dave was part of the other couple he was competing against to win the grand prize. No need to suck up.

I simply can't stand Scott! He comes off as a smug jacka$$!

It's totally ok to post links, in other forums we do it all the time. What's not ok is to post an entire article without a link. Anyway, I can't get the interview to go after the first 8 seconds and I tried twice! Oh well, I will try again later.

Thanks for the link! That was an interesting interview. I don't like him. Can't quite put my finger on it, but he rubs me the wrong way, "no doubt about it." I like how he said that some people weren't happy with their editing and then the woman said made some remark about people acting like little brats being upset.

I still don't understand why people got upset that people were playing the game. It is a game show, people! Someone's gotta go eventually. Just like in Survivor, all alliances eventually come to an end.

"Playing the Game & Hypocrisy"

Let's examine the whole "playing the game" issue. Of course, this is only what we see from editing.

MY theories:
1. Why the OriginHos have a problem: They became a voting block very early, vowing to vote out all newcomers, so they could ensure themselves a long visit and lotsa TV time. They were a non-inclusive group, with no room for any other members. Therefore, anyone new would automatically have to be against them, if they wished to stay in PH. So, to counter the large # of this allliance, the Newbies #s had to grow to, at least by pairs. So, why would they be Surprised that everyone else is against them and doesn't feel the Orig's deserve to win and stay there the longest?? They created the situation/conflict. IT wasn't as if every couple was for themselves and every new couple had a chance. Then they can't believe that Barbies would join Keith and not just go along with the status quo.
2. Power - sometimes being in a large alliance is safe, sometimes its having an even number of boys/girls. The few times that it has been popularity (Dave's Casino win), the originhos have been happy to go along with Barbies (a minority even then) and get rid of their problem people (Bo, etc). When new people chose Orig's at elim., they were gone (like Khavita and Matt).
3. Threats - Orig's have nothing to offer newbies, since their alliance is full, they decide that they can intimidate and threaten (with having a miserable stay) the newbies with power, into choosing no-misery over staying at PH. Whereas Barbies offer friendliness, decency and an alliance. Which would u choose? Why would they think that this would work on anyone who isn't a shy scaredycat? They were actively telling someone who to vote for (an offer they couldn't refuse), no different than Dave's talks or suggestions.
4. Openness - The originhos are just upset that things weren't out in the open so they could know what was coming (cause they certainly were too brain-impaired to try to guess, until Toni), even tho they discussed things privately behind closed doors (like which Barbie to vote off). Maybe Dave does it more often, but this usually involved the input of some origs (esp. Scott) so that he can do best for the group.
5. When the OriginHos refer to "playing the game", I think that What they were surprised at is: a) the way that the Barbies were nice, civil & polite to them during the week and how Tara/Charla did not act separate after Amanda's vote off. News alert: just because Dave is nice to Amy and Tara likes Alex and no one belittles Amy at lunch, does NOT mean that they are on their side, nor against them. They will Not go against their alliance and blow their shot at winning the game. Dave and Scott have a very strong alliance, even tho on opposite sides.
b) the openness (in #4), which is hypocritical. c) that there was no obvious drama and meanness to them before they were voted off, like they try to do to Barbies. d) that they weren't in control over which of them would be gone. AHA! Eureka. Bo goes - Origs are happy. Alex - he deserved it anyway. Toni chooses to go. Des chooses to go. Mel chooses to go (by not making Scott decide).
6. PTG is also strategy. Barbie strategy - think of possibilities, discuss, consensus and adapts from week to week. Orig strategy - everyone goes before those most deserving (amy and zack or whoever) and try to vote-off Charla (even if not in power this week).

So, Origs just upset that being nice can win over being mean (aka "honest" to them). They are upset over shift in power. Dave & Barbies have never (that I've seen) made promise & not kept or openly deceived someone (like Tom & Des did). Haven't the Origs seen Survivor before?

"RE: Scott's Radio Interview Highlights"

Interesting. Here's some highlights if you can't hear it all.

Guy that got most under my skin? Dave, playing the game alot.
Mics were in the necklaces and headboard.
Zack & Amy had A LOT of the hanky panky. I did alright, but nothing with Melanie.
"In the process of dating Holly" since she's in Pittsburg and he's in Chicago. "they were juicy fights" "the one regret i had in 13 weeks was our tiffs on tv", growing your relationship on national tv, she was my roomate for 5-6 weeks, 24 hours a day is more face time than i've ever had in a relationship.
Why was I nice to the Barbies? I was nice to everyone new, I didn't want to miss out on new friendships, and I stayed true to the way I am. Dave, Keith & I, sometimes Tom played tennis alot, it was our escape.

Dave's Deliberating: I said that, but They didn't show the 10 mins where I shook his hand and said thanks for keeping me.
I wasn't unhappy with they way they were editing me like others were.

Dear Scott,
If Dave didn't play the game, the Originhos and Keith would've had YOU outta there by now. Thank him again.
Sincerely,

LOL and Amen! I also hate to break it to Scott, but FOX didn't supersize the Tuesday PHo because it's so great: Everybody Loves Raymond premieres Monday, and the West Wing on Wednesday. That's the real reason we aren't having 2 PHos.

Funny Scott didn't mention that he wanted Charla off and yet she is the one that refused to vote him out and helped make him the safe member the one week. They have very selective memories.
