California Songs, and Songs I Wish I'd Written...? Guess they got tired of us b!tching about Songs From the Year You Were Born and decided to give us something even more obscure and confusing to discuss.Sounds like Steven is sharing what he's smoking with the theme-pickers.

"Songs I wish I'd written" is a broad category that allows the contestants to sing something they know really well and have performed from before their time on AI--so they don't have to master two new songs this week.I like that they have been more flexible with the themes this year ...and imo that is so Jessica can perform songs that are in her repertoire. She has dozens of videos on you tube.
