Whether it was the teams' oxen, Russian jeeps, bow and arrows, or their brains, there sure were a lot of mishaps in Week 2. Tyler and James somehow survived their Car of Death (no jack, either) experience and finished 2nd. David and Mary, on the other hand, couldn't get out of the mud.

In the end, however, Kellie and Jamie just couldn't figure out which way they should go. Not that it matters, though. They would've still spent six hours doing the Roadblock anyway.

Mixed Results

Overall, Week 2 was a pretty good week for the majority, except for a few instances. Still, very few people bet points on Peter & Sarah, and no one doubled up completely this week. Still, strong finishes by Tyler/James & Duke/Lauren tended to help people's scores. Aided by a bonus, Tom/Terry was also a pretty profitable pick this week. Unfortunately, David/Mary and especially Lyn/Karlyn couldn't get it together.

Sadly, we have another casualty this week in Ryan DeMaster. This elimination isn't much fun, because it's rough eliminating a fellow 22-year-old. We gotta represent. Sorry about your bad luck, Mr. DeMaster. I think Molaholic might still have a bottle of wine left over from last week. If you don't want that, I suggest the Chardonnay.

We did have a few new players this week. Everyone welcome TWoman, dabo, krisjonfanbg, Morgan_Callay, mbabane, FFantasyFX, and Travel_Queen.

Week 2's Perfect Bet Award goes to lowerlashes (1.742x), who very narrowly beat out 5cats (1.737x). That extra 5-pt bet on Peter/Sarah gave lowerlashes the highest boost of the week. Nice job.

The Greatest Gainer Award goes to the player who moved up the most number of positions during the week. Week 1's award goes to Road Kill, who jumped 14 spots to #27 this week. Close behind were willinCal, 5cats, ChrisGTS, and seahorse, who each moved up 13 ranks.

If you think there's a problem with your score, please PM me. Toward the bottom of the Leaderboard, I noticed a couple mistakes. I'll probably double-check them all tonight, to be safe.

New Players Still Welcome!

During this week and next week, new players will be accepted to the game. However, enter as soon as you can, because new players will receive fewer starting points each week.

To save space, here are the abridged rules...
1. Each new player receives 10 points to start.
2. Once you've run out of points, you're out of the game.
3. Each week, you may choose to bet some (or all) of your points on the remaining Amazing Race teams.
4. There is no limit on your individual bets, as long as the total doesn't exceed the number of points you have.
5. You may bet on as many or as few teams as you want.
6. You don't have to bet all of your points, or even play at all during a particular week.
7. All bets must be integers (whole numbers).
8. All entries must be posted before showtime: 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 1st.
9. Any edited posts after the deadline will receive a significant penalty.

Scoring Rules
1. Based on where your racers finish, your bet will be multiplied by a Multiplier to determine your payout for each bet.
2. Then all of your individual bets are totaled together to give your new point total for the next week.
3. Each week, there will be some teams that have an extra multiplier attached to them. If you bet on those teams, your payout will be slightly higher than normal. But remember, most of your score is dependent on where your teams finish each week.
