Because there weren't any good ones this year. Should someone make it based on race? I don't remember any that stand out to me.

Like not having any good ones has kept them from casting someone to be a type or fill a specific demographic every other year they have been on.

Although the question is did they only cast girls they think the white guy with guitar voters might vote for, or have certain demographics decided that other shows will give them a better shot so are avoiding Idol.
