Who will be in? Who will be out? Who will cause the audience to rival Phil and Jeff for the best what the ef face of all time?

Will Estee break her 50,000 post silence tonight? Will anyone have posted by the time I hop in about 1/2 an hour late?

These are more questions to be answered tonight in the most stupifylingly edited way possible.

and is this where they hurt the one you love?

And yep, you are 23 you are so good, but not this year so Lauren is out.

Why is J. Lo in a green sparkly sausage casing?

He's got the screaming down, so is his Dad the preacher at the church here in trouble for rattling the windows of all the houses in the neighborhood when they Praise Jesus!?

Is he performing at the edge of a moat?

Any chance they will push anyone in. Oh the judgement platform is surrounded by water as well.

Sometimes the better singers don't make it as things don't line up. We have to say good bye to people we love. Season is tough. For you man, you made it.

Joshua is in the top 24.

that is some real there?

One of the themes I keep seeing in various media articles comparing AI and The Voice is that the later has their editing celebrate talent while the former primarily likes to humiliate it. Something we've known for a long time -- but the rest of the field needed an orange to put against the rotten pear before they could pick up on the stench. Typical FOX, really: rise above the crowd if you dare -- but not too high, because they've got to be able to grab your ankles and throw you into the spikes.

For Exhibit 21368, see tonight's episode.

The media has also noted the talent disparity. Next week, they discover North America.

I like The Voice better at this point and it isn't even close.

So room for Halley from Portland, who really brought it during Hollywood week,

Going through. Site is posting really slow tonight, I'm not sure I'll get through the rest of the night like this.

LAST EDITED ON 02-22-12 AT 09:47 PM (EST)

Singing to J. Lo, going for the cougar vote?

Spoiled with so many good singers (how many ways can they pretend no one is going through).

You are 20, you didn't make it. You need a bit of time to form it into who you are

Clayton is out, River St. James was not enough. Caleb feel apart when it mattered most. Can we start over as the last notes of the song are playing. *crickets*

Can I get some water?

You are surrounded by it.

Elise, It's a Man's World.

Trying to convey every emotion, I'm letting go, feel like I'm going to explode.

Even Randy is getting tired of the scripted fake drama.

She's in.

'I don't want to drag this out for you. Jennifer, drag this out for her.'

The water represents ratings. The franchise is drowning.

Working really hard to be the "character" of the top 24. Can really scat, but show your vocals off.

He made it through.

Will anyone jump in that water?

Erika Van Pelt. Did her final performance mis-fire?

Some people blew us away, lot of people who didn't do as amazing as we thought, and you were one of those people. Yesterday was difficult. Who we are going to take a chance on. And to break.

This is my top twenty-four? I got a vote? When did that happen? Am I in the editorial staff? No, that can't be it, the show would be a lot more interesting... How much influence do I have?

Randy? You're fired!

*checks screen*

...crap.

"After the Break...."

Erika Van Pelt, Who will we take a chance on, we will take one more on you, in the top 24.

Another spot already gone. Two Country Girls, lone survivors of their group. Will there be room for both?

Chelsea from North Carolina (uh oh) Nearly lost it all in the last performance.

Picking some amazing talented people, amazing moments, great talent, try to raise the bar every year. Steve says she already knows the answer. You are going through.

Baylie Brown, other country girl up next. Consistency issues brought up. Makes me ecstatic you are going through.

This episode has more drag than an entire season of Ru Paul.

If this show was a parachute it would have enough drag to stop a speeding train on a dime.

At absolute zero, no molecular movement is possible.

At one degree below that, Idol happens.

Richie vs Heejun

Everyone vs Richie's Ego.

Down Down Down and it Burns Burns Burns. At least there is water to put him out.

Oh to see it pulled away at the end because you need it so badly.

Am I a bad person?

Incorporated them really fun?

Good moments, good low (brown?) notes.

Unfortunately you didn't make it this year, you are 19 and will only get better with time.

Momma's don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys.

Heejun is sweating...mostly water, thanks for asking Ryan. Special needs kids are his motivation.

In a New York State of Mind.

Every Asian Man wants to kiss J. Lo.

What do you think of that guy? He's Ugly. It was my first time, whenever I am on stage I am nervous, but when I am singing, someone else sings, and then I am back to normal.

You are a better star than you are a singer, so we are going to put you through.

"Hey June?"

"Death of a Cowboy."
Posted by Estee on 02-22-12 at 10:25 PM
They shot his dream in Vegas just to watch it die.

And now the musical director would like you to think that Heejun equals 'Hey, Jude'. If we're very lucky, this will be the greatest of the crimes committed against taste this season. We are not very lucky. But Heejun still goes through where Richie couldn't. And why? Because the show is done mocking Richie and Heejun has so much material still waiting in the wings!

Gawds, I hope he can rebound.

"This is the show that never ends..."

So far, spoilers have been accurate right down the line.

Ten slots out of twenty-four filled (even gender division mandatory) with two and a half hours to go. Which means that in spite of all perceptual evidence we are, gawds help us, ahead of pace.

"Pressure Cooker Time"

10 spots taken.

Jessica Sanchez, been wanting to be on Idol since she was 5, and has to do it quick before she blows out her voice.

The only financial hope her family has. That's a lot of pressure for a 16 year old kid. Save us or else! Yikes.

Did a great job yesterday. Dramatic music, will you join our top 24?

Phillip Squared up next. Had rough time in Hollywood. WGWG for final performance.

So different, we love that, but we don't know how that will play.

And to break.

"RE: Pressure Cooker Time"
Posted by Estee on 02-22-12 at 10:44 PM
They don't know how a WGWG will play.

Because several seasons of F2 do not serve as an object example.

"P2 is in"

Colton was just there to support his sister, but they forced him in.

Began another Idol journey together, but sis was sent home. Final performance, he addressed the situation.

He loves American Idol and loves these guys, 1 year ago today he was sent home.

This year he made it.

SCRIPT!

Which as much as anything else shows just how bad the show is at this. Wouldn't any hack worth their keyboard have set up a sibling rivalry?

"RE: Say it with me."

Well the sibling a season thing worked out OK for Nigel on SYTYCD.

"Brielle"
Posted by Snidget on 02-22-12 at 10:48 PM
Ryan wants to borrow the Mom's Tan in a Can.

Most affected version of Killing Me Softly evah!

You are going through.

Yeah, emphasis on the SOFTLY.

"Adam Brokey"
Posted by Snidget on 02-22-12 at 10:59 PM
Gosh those are some ugly faces he's pulling.

Why are their balls hanging from sacks on stage?

Have those been there all night?

Crying about his kid to the judges, oh but it is all about his joy now?

We didn't think you believed in you. Hard to say good bye, is he going to get told OMG tomorrow, sure looks that way.

I've had a very long day. Please don't give me this kind of feed line.
