So. Thirty, thirty-five minutes before anything remotely of competition interest happens?

See if America can put together a bigger train wreck than the judges.

8 acts go through, 1 goes home????

Um, Host needs a math chip upgrade.

OK, host STILL needs a math chip upgrade.

For a brief moment of hope, I thought it was a surprise double elimination.

R.I.P. Hope.

So is the last group (Lakoda Rayne) gone yet? Because once it is, I'll consider watching again. Sorry Paula, but you had nothing to work with.

Well, so much for getting Max back. (The death slot doesn't seem to have much impact yet...) So Paula doesn't have the anti-perfect game to post in the record books -- which means tonight just turned into Your Guess Is As Good As Mine.

In No particular order.

"RE: More Results"

Rachel, Drew, Stacy, and Astro left...

I thought Drew might freefall this week. Astro seems to have a lot of support. It's hard to see Rachel going B2 this early.

Stacy may have some justification to sweat -- but I kept thinking that about Elise & RussHell, too.

If Timekeeper has to rush this at the end, it's his own fault.

"Even More Results"
Posted by Snidget on 11-17-11 at 09:39 PM
Because we needed another commercial break before getting all the results.

Next act through.

Drew

Three acts left Astro, Rachel, Stacy.

Oh will I get to happy dance.

Two Simon said could win,

In no particular order, last act going through is...

Rachel Crow.

So the VFTW pick vs Stacy.

Stacy can't even speak.

"RE: Even More Results"
Posted by Estee on 11-17-11 at 09:43 PM
Stacy can't even speak.

But before she went into self-pity mode, she did have time to pull out another bitchface.

The Worsters must be having serious Janus moments: the one they're backing against the one they want out most. For my part... I don't know. This really gets down to the show's agenda. Who keeps more people watching: Astro for that rap audience or Fakethis from disgust and waiting for her to go? If it's the worst-case edit, Astro's out tonight. But Stacy's gotten more criticism...

*shrug*

I know what I want to happen, but I can't objectively call it when judge objectivity is off the board.

Don't exhale yet. I don't trust the panel and whoever coordinates the group numbers may be tired of throwing in a rap section.

The Final Showdown

Stacy up first.

Amazing Grace.

Not sure if this will pander to the judges or not. Would probably get some votes.

Astro up last.

Not even going to try to guess what he's rapping.

"Stacy wins something."
Posted by Estee on 11-17-11 at 09:48 PM
I'm sorry, Ms. Cooke, but I have to have to take away your lifetime genre achievement award. There's a new Most Pandering Performance Ever in town, and Fakethis is in the middle of executing it. There's a lot of things she's executing with this song, and most of them didn't deserve to die.

I walked away during the opening notes. As soon as I knew what she was doing and insta-realized why, that was it. She has her gameplan. She has her tactics. And beneath that? DAWdom without a single touch of anything else.

'Bitch' is too weak a word.

"Astro goes for it."
Posted by Estee on 11-17-11 at 09:51 PM
I haven't rooted this hard for the Worsters since Nick. (It was louder then, though.) If this somehow comes down to a panel tie and honest vote count... Yes, he's annoyed me. But compared to her? No question as to who gets the extra week.

Gonna be a long few minutes.

"The act going home is"
Posted by Snidget on 11-17-11 at 09:59 PM
Name the act you are sending home.

LA. All about attitude. Both come a long way. I thought tonight Stacy did a good job. Astro you act like a quitter and it upset me. Too talented to give a lack luster performance.

Give us a name LA

I respect both of you.

Stacy Francis, have to stick with my guy.

Boo goes the audience.

Nicole.

Stacy I have so much admiration for you. You open yourself up and make yourself vulnerable and leave mascara all over the floor.

Astro, you blow me away with what you do.

Nicole we need a name.

Stand by my girl. Astro going home.

Paula.

Tremendous respect for the two of you. Have to walk with gratitude, be grateful you are on this stage.

Sending home Stacy Francis.

Booing audience.

Simon.

Will he deadlock or send Stacy home.

Astro I don't like your attitude. Think about your mum watching this show. Showing disrespect, yes you are. Astro disagrees. Don't want to perform for people who don't want me here.

Part of doing this is being a grown up. Stacy I have been a huge fan of your. Astro if you are in this position again will you do this again.

Astro apologizes.

Audience making a lot of noise.

Based on who I believe has got the best chance of winning I'm going to send home Stacey.

*HAPPY DANCE*

Stacy wants to talk to the judges, I wasn't always happy and I have to suck up my pride. This journey has been really great, want to thank Simon Cowell for giving me a chance....

Best Bits.

I don't believe the high-end exit either. I saw the expression which preceded it. Throughout this season, she's always needed that extra second to get her game face on. No wonder she never changed tiers as an actress...

Part of me is wondering just how scripted that was: Astro nearly virtually quitting to save the producer's favorite lure? But he was reacting like a scared teen who'd just found out the world didn't love him as much as he thought it did. In that sense, it might have been an honest sequence -- but I'll have doubts for a while.

And the final triumph of Fakethis? Not only did they repeat her lies all the way through, but she made the show run overtime.

Nice work. Kudos all around. Get out.

Pulled the tail of the Agenda and found out it was attached.

Imagine tomorrow's interviews. Better yet, don't.

To Simon: as surprising as this may be, Astro actually IS a child.

Thank you. He is also a boy and boys don't mature as quickly as girls. Drew and Rachel were both starting to cry too. I wonder if they have a child psychologist on staff...Ha! that would cut into Paula's Pepsi budget.

I wonder too Estee if Asstro's tweets are true. I wouldn't doubt it. If they are, he should expose this fraud.

VFTW Double Victory!

"A bad bad thought"
Posted by moonbaby on 11-18-11 at 03:59 PM
With this kid implying there was more going on behind the scenes, well, the show probably won't put up with that. He could be disqualified-and that leaves room for Simon to apologize and bring Ms. Fakethis back.

*weeps a river of mascara at the thought*

"Warm up the Astrotrain."
Posted by Estee on 11-17-11 at 10:20 PM
Between his genre & show setting, 'Do I have to perform?' bit, and near-meltdown during the final minutes, he's got a great chance of landing in B2 next week by any remotely fair vote count. And yet Reid believes he'll sell.

*sigh* Reid's probably right, too.

"RE: Warm up the Astrotrain."
Posted by csnumber23 on 11-17-11 at 10:57 PM
Honestly, as much as I wanted Stacy Francis gone the way the kid acted deserved to at least be a deadlock and see who was the lowest vote getter. I hope he goes next week!

I agree!

"A reprieve."
Posted by Max Headroom on 11-18-11 at 09:16 AM
Despite my previous comments to the contrary, Stacy's departure ahead of Lakoda Rayne is ok with me. And after Astro's tantrum last night, it's ok if he also goes before Lakoda Rayne.

I'm sure Paula's tantrum would greatly exceed Astro's if her groups went out as the first three acts to go.

"RE: A reprieve."
Posted by Estee on 11-18-11 at 09:39 AM
Paula's tantrum

There's a rumor going around that Lakoda Rayne was actually the other act low-voted into B2 last night -- but the producers were afraid of having Paula meltdown to the point where the slurry flowed into the sewer and off the show. So they stuck Astro in against Stacy, knowing the panel would pass him through.

Just a rumor. But how much does anyone trust this show to play things honestly?

"LOL"
Posted by moonbaby on 11-18-11 at 09:43 AM
I predict that Paula will storm off and lock herself in the bathroom when One Non-Blonde finally gets the boot.

Remember, she's zero for one.

"RE: A reprieve."

I wonder if Astro wasn't too young to be doing this. HE doesn"T seem to have the maturity to handle adversity.

I think Paula is in the same boat!
