"X-Factor USA Boot Camp #2 ECST"

Get ready for the whirl-o-matic giving all the DAW's 1/10th of a second off their 15 minutes. Keep it all here, assuming you catch any of it as it whizzes by until the West Coast's head stops spinning.

Tonight's performance should be sponsored by every headache relief medicine in the country. Which will do no actual good whatsoever because this travesty is going to induce migraines.

Kind of makes you wonder how they'll rip off the hanger walkway when no one has any time to walk.

Is this the first time they gave the name of the host, or just the first time I caught it.

Because they had to intro the judges again because we might forget who they are or something.

Recap the categories and judges find out thing, because we may forget.

Whittled down to 100 acts, they were split into groups and seconds of various groups.

5 groups left to perform

What's Going On Marvin Gaye. Marcus Canty excited about it. Chris (meth boy) and his invisible auditioning sister. Up to 94 days sober. Gina rapped in LA.

Judges make some comments, but hard to know who they are talking about except for Marcus who gets named.

So they just skimmed past two groups without identifying a single person in them. And then they introduced a group composed entirely of solo artists. Which includes a duo. Who are now solo artists.

This is just sad.

Posted by Snidget on 10-06-11 at 08:18 PM
Did we get a couple of fast forwarded groups or were those previews.

Rascal Flatts. I Won't Let Go.

Start with one guy on stage. Each act comes on for their part.

"One Group Left"
Posted by Snidget on 10-06-11 at 08:27 PM
Yep, two groups slipped in for mere seconds.

Singing Chasing Cars.

The seconds we heard of the invis-groups sounded way better than anything in this group so far.

All groups complete, now who to put through, 1/3 sent home today.

"Brought in as three groups"
Posted by Snidget on 10-06-11 at 08:31 PM
Again.

Group One did a wonderful job but it ends tonight.
Group Two Nicole yanks their chain a bit, they are through.
Group Three. Simon says easy decision, not good news, it is great news.

Nicole often seems to be the last person on the panel to applaud, and sometimes withholds it completely while the other judges are showing some degree of approval. @#$%flinger may be the 'mentor' who cuts anyone stronger than she is just to keep out the competition.

"???"
Posted by Estee on 10-06-11 at 08:32 PM
Why did they let a dolphin go through?

Paula's doubletalk is approaching fatal concentrations.

list of 35 songs, pick one. Show up and give us your finest. There will be 3000 people in the audience.

They take their group home to get selected for the final rounds.

Get day to rehearse with vocal coaches, etc. Long day of rehearsal, the audience starts to arrive.

"The spirits did it all in one night!"

-- but even if you keep them down to two-minute exerts and cycled people in and out at top speed, it would have taken most of a working day to get through all the acts. There might have been two audience sessions here just because most people aren't going to sit that long.

How many of the 66 will we see.

Rachel Crow. If I Were A Boy.
No Comments on the performances.

Paige Elizabeth Ogle.
Tiger Budbill. Billie Jean
Josh Krajcik. Up To The Mountain.

I'll say -- about fifteen. They have to leave six minutes open to show the judges' 'homes' again.

Some of them have had public careers. Some of them have found success -- their own or someone else's. No one's ever going to admit it.

That would be the marble bathroom with gold faucets and a natural mineral hot spring on continual flow through the indoor pool, right?

The sad part? It probably did happen. But after what's come out, it's hard to believe part of her didn't immediately say 'How can I use this to make sure I don't get cut?'

"Even More Performances"

Stacey Francis. Her Dad Died first day of bootcamp. Summertime

"That's It or Is It"

LAST EDITED ON 10-06-11 AT 09:50 PM (EST)

14 people return to the stage.

Look for artists that may have the potential but often we cast people in groups.

You didn't come in as groups, but now you are in the groups category.

4 girls together and then the other 10. Two new groups. Final 32 acts.

'We must save the tween age candy!'

"8 acts in each category"
Posted by Snidget on 10-06-11 at 09:57 PM
Listed again, in case you forgot.

Each of the four becomes a mentor for one of the four categories. Producers pick who gets what.

LA in NY
Paula and Nicole in LA
Simon in the South of France.

I'm sure they were told the time, not just sit by the phone for however long.

Phones Ringing. They all have the same ringtone?

Nicole gets the Over 30's.
LA gets the Boys
Paula gets the Groups
Simon gets the Girls More happy for them than for Simon as he knows they all want him.

"RE: 8 acts in each category"
Posted by Estee on 10-06-11 at 10:06 PM
More happy for them than for Simon as he knows they all want him.

That might need a rephrase.

Notice Simon's comment on the Groups assignment? Roughly, 'A group will contain multiple personalities and they're getting Paula Abdul as their mentor. Work it out.' He may still be irritated about some of those ties.

And keeping the girls away from Nicole was the only way to save the singers. She's less likely to see the Over-30s as personal threats.
