Posted by annie828 on 05-03-06 at 10:54 AM
May 15
Sommer participates in a dance-off at a club; Antonia must write her wants and needs on index cards, then prioritizes them on a board; Niambi meets with a relationship-pattern expert.

May 16
Iyanla meets with Antonia to discuss her extreme debt; Rhonda presents Sommer with the last piece of the bicycle and tells her she is graduating; Christie stresses out about planning the 5K race.

May 17
Antonia calls a creditor to work out a payment deal; Dr. Stan tells Christie how to deal with pressures and reminds her that everything does not have to be perfect; Niambi tells Dr. Stan she wants a relationship with ``Mr. Situation.''

May 18
Iyanla tells Niambi she needs to be willing to ask others for help; Antonia and Iyanla meet with a debt counselor to discuss the option of bankruptcy; Christie's 5K race may be a failure because of her lack of preparation.

May 19
Rhonda talks to the women about emotional bankruptcy; former housemate Jill visits; the Board of Review evaluates Niambi and Christie.

Why is she even back-- So she can get a free "gift"?

What IS going on here??? Iyanla''s obsession with 'bankruptcy' could seriously lead these women into lifelong consequences! True, after a certain number of years financial records are cleared but the lingering affect of the emotional part is *forever*! This I know because one relative and two of my friends filed years ago and they still talk about it to this day as being one of the worse and most regrettable events in their lives! There ARE other ways to clear debt and besides, the laws have changed and these days, not so easy to wipe the slate clean.
Outrageous!
gawd!! I'm beginning to wonder if Iyanla didn't change her name from Rhonda Harris to VanZant because of her own money problems!!

Sadly...some folks do not come out of bankruptcy with any remorse. Or consequences.
You can keep your house if you have one and be back in credit cards within a year or two. I'm hearing that the laws are getting tougher and I hope they are.
I would also like for the 'bankrupties' to have to take a class on financial responsibility and just who pays for their indiscretions as I think they believe it comes out of thin air...

Yes, Jill and Jodi .....what a pair.

I thought when the former housemates leave they go on with their lives, not come back time and time again....getting a little sickening!!!

Can Christie stop with the whinning already, everytime she opens her mouth I hit the "mute" button.

It's going to be very hard for Antonia to file for bankruptcy since they changed the laws.

I hope the reason why they are having her meet with a bancruptcy specialist is to discourage her. It's pretty obvious that Antonia doesn't take her finances seriously, and perhaps she's one of those people that shrug and figure "I'll just claim bankruptcy". Maybe the purpose of the meeting is to make it clear to her that it isn't an option in her case, especially with the new laws...nah, that would be too responsible of them.

Come on!! Why is their answer to everyone who owes $$ to investigate bankruptcy?! They did the same thing with Alison (who decided that begging for financial gifts on her website was a better idea). Why don't they eliminate that as an option because Antonia has no serious excuse for her debt. She didn't have to feed a family, she doesn't have exorbitant medical bills, she isn't homeless, she's just plain immature and spoiled. Since when should that equal getting to screw your creditors via bankruptcy?

I'm really annoyed that bankruptcy is being discussed as an option for Antonia. I thought she was supposed to be taking responsibility for her debt. I'm sorry, but bankruptcy is not taking responsibility; rather it's the easy way out.

I'm beginning to think that Antonia may have went on the show to get her debts paid off, cause she sure seems like she does not want to be there or do the work the poetry slam was just that, she only made half of what she should of due to the lack of planning.

I have to agree with bankruptcy not being the best idea in the world for Antonia. This is the girl who does not know how to use a ruler, does not figure in tax and delivery charge for items. How in the world is having her declare bankruptcy showing her how to be responsible? It's showing her that there is an easy way out, so to speak. Not face the fact your in debt and start paying off your bills. Wouldn't it be nice if everything would be that simple? Sorry, that girl is on my nerves and I had to say this.....lol

No kidding!! I had a horrible experience where a significant other charged $18,400 in my name. Rather than run from the debt, I visited a credit counselor who taught me how to PAY IT ALL BACK!! I am about $2800 from the end right now.

Credit counseling can help reduce the monthly payment (by reducing the interest rates with the creditors) but you will pay it ALL back.

Antonia can work...get busy and clear your name.

Yes. And she looked like a real live human person. Not a painted up whannabbee. If I was forced to pick a top three fave from the entire entoire, Jennifer would definitely be there...

What exactly has Sommer done to warrant graduating? (Or even necessitating the need to return? She did a few sleazy dance things and that's it. Dance things she had no problems doing either BTW. Then we have Antonia who is there to "climb out of debt" and she is discussing bankruptcy. That's not climibing out of debt that's whoosing out. Give her the required amount of waiting years and she'll file again as soon as she can.

I agree, the whole Sommer dance thing was very tired!!!
Poor poor Antonia, she just does not get the "real world at all"!! Hopefully, she will wake up soon.
