The ABC web sites states Locke will discover charlie's secret tonight. Any guesses on what it is? Does it relate to his "LATE" bandaged fingers?

I think it wil be more than recreational drug use, but I'm not sure just what.

oooh, i like your thought. yeah, it could be more...

Now, I thought that it was FATE, but it was hard to read, and I have no idea if I'm right on that.

And Locke - is just all-around helpful, no? Probably good for him to finally be the hero he's always dreamed of.

Except there has been spoiler talk of the "Hero" really being a bad guy. Hmmmmmmm........

I do like Locke- He is the most intriguing character so far.

yes, I am willing to believe he could turn.

But then there are also,
Kate - "dangerous"
Sayid, Claire, Boone, Sawyer - all kind of loners.

I know! I know! Its Rose, the old gal. ;)

The monster hasn't made an appearance since Locke was confronted by it while he was hunting for boars. I think he was infected by the "spirit" that rules the island. He seems to appear out of nowhere when needed, like when Jack was hanging from the cliff, as if directed by a supernatural force.

My impression of Locke's character is like a shepard tending the flock, he'll make sure they stay out of harms way, tend to the survivors needs, and occasionally slaughter one of the flock when the "spirit" needs to be feed.

ETA: Spelling, I should have paid attention in Mrs. Wellens' sixth grade english class.

He is the only one who knows anything - and he knows way too much. He said tonight "the island will give you what you want, but you have to give it something in return."
I wonder if he gave anything in return...

So, I think he knew or orchestrated the guitar's "appearance" and is guided by or possessed by the "spirit". yes.

Have we seen the knives since Locke saw the mysterious monster???

Maybe Locke gave up his knives to the island in return for something???

Or he gave up trying to get off the island and is resigned to live there forever, or more likely wants to live there forever.
