They made it really simple for me this time around.

Day 1: Denver -> Dallas/Houston/DC
Day 2: Dallas/Houston/DC -> Sao Paulo

(PIT STOP #1; John & Scott eliminated)

Did I miss it in the first episode, or did they even mention the three different routes the teams took from Denver to Sao Paolo? It seems to me like it was edited so that they never mentioned where the connections were through. I don't even remember seeing the usual map with three arrows from Denver to Dallas, Houston, and DC, and then continuing from those sites to SP. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention.

I like it when they give details of the route. There was obviously some kind of delay somewhere because the teams did not arrive in the order that they left. Usually there's some good footage of teams stressing out because their connection is delayed. I was left wondering what happened, and it seemed like they just washed right over that. Especially with a two-hour episode, I would think they'd find room to give some more details about the route.

I remember the map. Don't recall which cities, but one went all the way to the East Coast, like DC maybe, and two went toward the Gulf coast, I remember it looking like Texas was where at least one of the flights went.

Thanks! I guess I just wasn't paying close enough attention.

Isn't it about time for a non-elimination leg? At this rate, all 3 will be back-to-back-to-back.

The non-elims are usually toward the end of the season anyway...next week will undoubtedly be non-elim, as will 3 weeks and 5 weeks from now.

CBS Today did not promote "TAR Castoff" in Friday's commercial which makes me think this week will be a NEL.

I'm guessing at some of the timeline for this race because I missed the episode until the very end. Thank you for pointing out my mistakes.

Day 12: Nizwa, Oman -> Muscat -> Dubai -> Perth, Austrailia (in flight)
Day 13: Perth -> Fremantle
Day 14: Fremantle -> Rottnest Island -> Fremantle

Thanks for the timeline but I thought I heard that the race was 28 days - 16 days for 9 legs seems really short

Thanks for your kind words. You might be right about the 28 days. A couple of possible explanations:

a) The last three legs might be very long, and
b) There could be some 36-hour pit stops mixed in. I don't count those unless I know for sure when & where they occurred.

I'm realitybites and I approved this post.

There was no 36 - hour pit stop, there was only 24 hours in Oman. If you notice Fran and Barry arrived 1st in the evening, they were suppossed to depart at next day morning but left the pit stop 1st @ 5.35 pm , so it means they had to wait 24 hours which is quite strange.
