Keep all results, twists, filler, and bleeps here until the West Coast has seen it for themselves.

This is a two-hour results show. The recommended survival procedure is to find a very thick hardcover and throw it through your TV.

Two hours. E-freaking-gad.

Let the slo-motion slaughter begin.

Expect Brett & Rachel (the Worster picks) to get their news towards the very end of the show -- and if they're paired in a 'one goes on, one goes home' bit, they will be matched with The Most Obvious Advancer Ever.

Historical evidence.

Sorry, Ryan, but forty million votes over two nights represents a drop in interest.

The largest cut ever? I guess that means no one's taking his head off.

Of the 14 left they will decide who will sing for a spot, so not all 14 performing next week.

J. says it will be a tough night for them.
S. Guys vs Girls and he won't go there when Ryan asks, R and J agree it was even.

We have a couch to fill, so lets go to break to postpone doing anything newsworthy for several more minutes.

"Sure it's even."

There's twelve guys. And there are also twelve girls. Therefore, both nights were even.

Scotty and Robbie Center Stage.

Oh gosh they are dragging this out and dragggggggggiiinnnnngggg it out even more.

Scotty is in the top ten.
I am so shocked by this, I cannot take it {/monotone}

Robbie is not in the top ten, off to the stools of the damned.

Round 1, no surprise. Scotty's got a niche and base that he can easily call his own, although it's a minority. The real test is whether he can capture others' fan bases when they drop. Robbie was destined not to make it.

Clint, Jordan, Jovany

Clint is trying to have a heart attack on stage, so that means slow down the results to prolong it as much as possible.

Clint and Jordan you have not made it into America's Top Ten. Off the the stools with you.

Jovany has not made it into the top 10 either.

"RE: Dim the lights. Only 20 minutes in...results 1"

Round 2, no surprise either. The suspense will come later with a solo guy still on one stool. Clint's mere appearance turns off too many people, regardless of his singing talent. Which Jordan never had. Jovany is the only guy in this trio worthy of another shot.

"RE: Dim the lights. Only 20 minutes in...results 1"

Clint's appearance would improve 100% with the addition of a human personality. (Lauren A. is the female equivalent.)

Wait a minute. Five males up, four down? That leaves four seats for seven -- just about a fifty-fifty flip. How are they trying to pace this thing? Are they trying to pace it at all? Is it possible we're heading for overtime? And could Ryan be any more full of himself?

Y'know that Bible rewrite? Ryan's been trying to slip his name in.

Round 4, no surprise. Probably the two of the bottom five, if not bottom three, from last night, on the other end of the spectrum of the two who made it. We're left with a choice of three ladies out the middle, which could go a lot of ways.

Karen in
Kendra out.

"RE: Results 5"

Round 5, no surprise (this is getting monotonous!). Karen was a clear favorite of these three. Knowing in part two of this round that only one would make it, the choice was pretty clear.

"Results 6"

Ryan acting like he needs to hurry or something.

Jacob, Casey, Tim

Why did I just notice Stevens Hot Pink Ruffles.

Jacob is in. Jacob needs to borrow the Hot Pink Ruffles.

Casey vs Tim, one in, one out.

Casey made it into the top ten
Tim is out.

Oh, I am so surprised by that. {/monotone}

No shocks so far other than the mild one at Kendra's 'I don't care about the results' face on that backwards glance to Karen. It's been very predictable so far, right down to the Worster torture.

Naima, Other Lauren, Thia

One is in the top ten, two are not.

Naima, you are not in the top ten.

Thia, you made it into the top ten
Other Lauren is out.

"RE: Results 7"

Still not surprised.

"RE: Results 7"
Posted by cahaya on 03-03-11 at 10:02 PM
Round 7, finally a mild surprise. With three of the better ladies in the middle of the pack up, only one is able to go in. Any of the three *could* go in.

Naima first out. She's definitely worthy of another go at it.
Thia is in. (Yay!)
Lauren also is worthy of another shot, I think.

Round 8, no surprise prize. Boo! Hiss! Come on, Paul looked like a drunk out there last night and Brett not only looked better but sang better.

I knew this was going to happen when three, maybe four, ladies in the ECST were all intrigued by Paul. What the name of the spell he's casting?

As predicted: Brett at the end of an hour, in a one-in one-gone situation, matched against someone who was guaranteed to be advancing.

Who's the mortal lock among the remaining females? Because that's who Rachel will be standing next to. (I'm surprised they didn't match her against Lauren A, but their darling may not have wanted to be that close.)

ETA: See? One other female left. Therefore, mortal lock.

"RE: Are we about to get singing?"

So they sing to get into the wild card competition then sing to get into the top 12.

So the two wild cards will have 3 performances to everyone else's one?

That seems fair.

14 people in danger, some will sing again, will decide in the moment who gets the slots tonight.

6 will sing tonight.

3 boys
3 girls.

"RE: Stefano Langone"

Hey, he sang his heart out in this performance. You can tell he really wants it. No, it wasn't flawless, but still, with the switch ups and the contrasts between loud scream-my-heart-out notes and gentle, soft, almost spoken words, he showed his talent range very well. I think, depending on how the other four do, he could be worthy of one of the two remaining spots.

Who feels like being merciful enough to not review that?

How many words could you make out?

I'm guessing Naima and one of Jovany or Stefano (either of whom I'd be content with, although I think Stefano was slightly better). If they don't pick Naima, I'm going to clobber them.

Randy: Ashton
Jennifer: Two more. Top 13
Stephano goes through.
Steve: Naima you are in.

Ashton?!?!?! WTF! Clearly my "sealed her fate" was in the wrong direction.

Never under estimate the power of One Oscar minus the Truth.

eta: Jennifer Hudson was a wild card brought back by Simon. Didn't like her then, don't like it now.

Yeah, the 'total package' thing at the show level means 'diversity as a group'. Apparently, that also includes range of talent.

I about had a panic attack. We only found out after they picked Ashthon that they would pick 2 more, not just one. Which left Naima and the two better guys and Stefano gets the nod. I would have picked Jovany over Ashthon, but I won't quibble too much.

I've got a spot on my couch for her, too, after that last performance of hers. Like, wow.

Fell in love with Steven all over again for picking Naima. I'm going to real vote alot this season.

Sad that Rachel didn't get a shot. She deserved it more than the other two.

And the look on her face showed that she knew she had zero chance of making it. She looked like she would gladly kill Ryan, all 3 judges, all the other contestants, and maybe 1/2 the audience as well.

It would have been a pity to stop her before she'd gotten to Ryan.

I know I don't have the power to edit their predetermined storyline. I am still going to spend next Wednesday night voting for Naima until my fingers bleed.

So. Sick. Of. Their. Crap.
