I think we have the Nashville auditions tonight. Keep all discussion here until the show has aired on the West Coast and they have had a chance to get the twang out of their speakers.

So how many auditions do you think we'll see with a rock theme? Less than or equal to -1?

Yup, Music City.

However, it still remains to be seen (rather, heard) if it's music for the ears tonight or not.

That happened to Nashville.

She makes the Universe a better place?

Christine McCaffrey

Please let the theoretical guys be right there are a multitude of universes as at least one of them has to be devoid of her singing.

Has the Tennessee twang, but Randy points the way out. Quick!

The first one collapsed a building. She only managed to collapse my spine.

I hope that was an improve actress trying out a character. I hope.

They are Exes.

Make them audition together?

The both go to Hollywood, she has a bunch of people for her, seems he is there by himself, poor guy.

One was 2246 and the other 247. Consecutive, but one of them is missing the initial '2'. Figures they're ex'es.

Makes me wonder how they do the numbering of contestants, considering we had 5-digit ones last night.

Co-edit. She's the better of the two. I'm surprised he got the pass.

No! Really?

I love how Jennifer looked right at the camera and mouthed "Help"!

"Allen Lewis"
Posted by Snidget on 01-27-11 at 09:16 PM
Tattoo artist that chases girls like cows and makes Randy is Chocolate jokes.

Also cannot see Randy waving him off.

"RE: Allen Lewis"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 09:19 PM
And off he goes. At least he doesn't go off. Kinda of a scary lookin' guy, really.

"RE: Allen Lewis"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-11 at 09:22 PM
He came across as an inked-up teddy bear.

"RE: Allen Lewis"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 09:30 PM
And just what kind of trees you think he'd like to climb?

Starting with the trunk.

"Stormi Henley Miss Teen USA"
Posted by Snidget on 01-27-11 at 09:21 PM
Oh they are talented which is why they do the pageants without the talent portion, but she gets through.

J.Lo. having a seriously fit over the way the boys voted.

"RE: Stormi Henley Miss Teen USA"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 09:22 PM
The gal with the Ultra-Brite smile goes through. I dunno, I think the judges got blinded by it and forgot what their ears heard.

"RE: Stormi Henley Miss Teen USA"
Posted by Snidget on 01-27-11 at 09:24 PM
You think the boys actually noticed her smile?

I doubt their eyes got up that far.

"RE: Stormi Henley Miss Teen USA"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-11 at 09:24 PM
I don't think Jennifer was playing the 'You're more attractive than I am: die' card (and it's a serious mileage situation anyway). Steven's more than capable of voting with his hormones and I think Randy caved in on this one. Stormi may have potential, but you could say the same thing about a lot of other people they let walk out the door. She was a coin flip, and there's an argument to be made for it landing two out of three on heads.

Well, little heads.

I was having a serious fit over the way the boys voted. I was yelling at the computer when Randy was deliberating, "No! Say no!" This is the 2nd time this has happened. He did it last night when Steven voted yes and Jennifer voted no. Randy doesn't have the balls to be the 2nd no vote.

agree

"RE: Stormi Henley Miss Teen USA"

Agree. I told Rob that if Simon were dead he would be turning over in his grave with some of these votes. At least a 1/4 of these people getting thru got lucky that Simon isn't there this year.

Of course Rob reminded me that Bikini Girl made it to Hollywood, so...maybe I'm wrong.

"Adrienne Beasley"
Posted by Snidget on 01-27-11 at 09:27 PM
Black girl adopted by white parents.

I like her voice.

"RE: Adrienne Beasley"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 09:29 PM
Not bad, though not quite the diva either. Unlike a few others we've already heard, she deserves the pass. Wonder if she'll hold up emotionally, though, with Hollywood ahead.

"RE: Adrienne Beasley"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-11 at 09:30 PM
Her parents adopted pretty late, didn't they? I'm guessing they're currently mid to late 60s.

"RE: Adrienne Beasley"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 09:34 PM
Well... that'd make them in the mid 40's to 50 when they probably made the decision, about the time when they'd know they wouldn't have one of their own then.

"RE: Adrienne Beasley"
Posted by moonbaby on 01-27-11 at 09:31 PM
Loved her.

"Day 2--Kamilla Merricks"

We have a screamer.

Randy says don't sing, Steven says to practice.

No, a purple extra-terrestrial!

The green guys are exclusively licensed to sporting events.

"Jackie Wilson"
Posted by Snidget on 01-27-11 at 09:38 PM
How did she get a grey tongue?

No idea why they clapped, I didn't think it was that good.

"RE: Jackie Wilson"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 09:39 PM
Number 13000. Yeah, that's it.

I think we're in for an unlucky season.

"RE: Jackie Wilson"
Posted by grit on 01-27-11 at 09:41 PM
Good voice but really pitchy.

Gray tongue from the old dude she's kissing? That was weird.

"RE: Jackie Wilson"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-11 at 09:41 PM
She's not bad, but something about that performance says 'Group fodder.'

"Latoya Younique?"

LAST EDITED ON 01-27-11 AT 09:45 PM (EST)

Brought her album with her.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!

Even her number fled from her.

"RE: Latoya Younique?"

(*rotfl!*)

On the floor, on the floor.

She'd be a better model than singer.

"RE: Latoya Younique?"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-11 at 09:51 PM
She spread her album around.

But one day they'll find a cure.

"Paul McDonald"
Posted by Snidget on 01-27-11 at 09:47 PM
Trying for the generic white guy rocker?

Jimmie Allen

Danny Pate

The spirit of Paula is trying to infest J.Lo with it's cheerleaderness.

"Matt Dillard"
Posted by Snidget on 01-27-11 at 09:50 PM
Parents take in special needs foster kids.

Song choice did not match the presentation, but had a good voice, IMO

"RE: Matt Dillard"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 09:51 PM
This is the kind of guy I can imagine singing "Oh, Shenandoah".

"RE: Matt Dillard"
Posted by grit on 01-27-11 at 09:51 PM
I think he had a good voice but it was hard to tell. It was really shaky. I think his nerves got the better of him.

"RE: Matt Dillard"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-11 at 09:51 PM
...interesting...

"RE: Matt Dillard"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 10:01 PM
Yeah, I thought so, too, and I meant that Oh, Shenandoah comment in a positive way, as not many people could sing it true, but I expect he could.

"Lauren Alaina"
Posted by Snidget on 01-27-11 at 09:57 PM
Cousin who is like a big sister had a brain tumor. They call Holly in for the audition.

Judges say best audition of the day.

"RE: Lauren Alaina"
Posted by cahaya on 01-27-11 at 10:00 PM
Not bad, pleasing to the ears, and she showed more as she went along.

The make-up personnel in Hollywood will take care of those eyelashes.

"Wow"
Posted by moonbaby on 01-27-11 at 10:01 PM
what a great voice. Can't wait to hear more!

"RE: Lauren Alaina"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-11 at 10:02 PM
At some point, we are going to reach a city where the final auditioner of the day has a sick parakeet.

She's good, but the placement priority was done strictly for the background. And I disagree with Steven -- this isn't the one. She could be one of the twenty-four, but The One? No. America's harder to please than this.
