"Summary writer signup thread for Fall 2005 Apprentice versions"

We have two, count 'em, two, Apprentices heading down the pike this fall -- one with Martha and one with The Donald. In this thread, please post if you would be interested in writing a summary for one or the other version (or both, if that applies to you), as well as any date restrictions you may have. If we have too many people sign up, we will do a random draw among all of the people who have signed up -- and we reserve the right to give priority to people who have previously written at least one summary for Reality TV World.

Please note, however, that we are also running open sign-up threads for several other fall shows, so if you are planning to sign up for summaries for more than one show, it would be helpful if you could list the other shows in your reply, so that we can try and ensure any proposed schedule doesn't schedule you for back-to-back summaries, commit you to more summaries than you were expecting, or create any other problem (other than trying to make the summaries interesting or timely, which is certainly a problem for me!).

This thread will remain open until after Labor Day. Thanks for your interest.

Jumping in first!

I can take a summary for either show. I plan to watch both this season. I am willing to do one for each version if you don't get enough interest (just don't schedule them for the same week).

I have also signed up for TAR 8 and request that I do not have to spend Thanksgiving (11/24) with Donald again (or Martha for that matter (11/23)).

*sigh* I'm up for both. The *sigh* is because with everything I'm going to apply for, these will be the ones I actually get. I currently have no closed dates. I'm going to apply for TAR and Survivor in a few minutes -- I found this thread first. Beyond that, I'm not sure what's opened up and I'm going to have to look around a lot.

It's not likely that I could stomach much of Martha. So, I can do a Donald summary.

ETA I have also signed up for a TAR summary, but it is likely that I would pass that off to someone who wants it more.

Holy Carp! I just saw this up here! Did we just pass Week 3 or is it this week? If it's this week, I can do it. If it's last week, I can still turn in a late report but it will be short and with lots of made-up stuff from what I could remember.

I'll take a stab at it, this would be my 1st summary but do not have to have one. I would do one for either. I could do one on pretty much every week but the week of September 18-24 and Thanksgiving week. If I do get one the best week for a really good summary would be the week of October 9-15 do to a five day weekend, off on Thursday and Friday. But would do any week but the two weeks as stated above

ETA: I am planning to watch both of them but would prefer DT.

You know what, I'm not even going to put my name in. Nothing political, but I'm looking at my school scheduling, my out-of-school stuff, college applications, all the social crap, and I couldn't guarantee a quality or timely summary.

I'd love to post a summary for either version of the shows. The whole reason I found and fell in love with this site is for the fun recaps written by such clever writers.

It would be my first summary, but I'd try to do it justice

I'd write for Either of the Apprentice shows - but if you need someone on another show I also watch the Amazing Race.

I don't really have any big time restrictions - except the first week of the season - after that I'm good anytime.

I did a Scholar summary and people actaually read it! I'll try one again. I will tell you up front that I cannot do any shows between Dec. 6 and 18 b/c I will be on a cruise. I don't mind if it is a holiday ep. though.

I just want to do one for now--if any more come up later (and depending if people like my writing--which you can see in Other Shows, The Scholar: Gay Marriage and Dead Presidents) I'll do more. I wanna see how it goes!

I'm unavailable the week of Oct. 22-29, Nov. 4-9, and Thanksgiving.

I'd like to offer to do one of the Apprentice episodes. Either of the two versions would be fine. I've previously done a Survivor, an Apprentice, and a few other shows.

Actually, I just had an idea for an approach on the Martha version, so maybe I'd favor that one if there's a choice. (Otherwise, I'm still open to doing one of the Donald episodes).

Ayak, I completely missed week 3...I'm so sorry I didn't see this thread until now-I didn't even tape it.

I'm so confused. I just found out that I was asked to do Donald week 3. In my fluster to start on that and be as helpful as I could be, I didn't notice that anyone was given week 3 of Martha so I went ahead and whipped one up. Hope you don't mind!

Week 3 would not be a good week b/c of all the work before the first quarter ends.

Ayak, do you want me to take that week for The Donald. if you need help or another if you've already got one. I'm on a five day weekend and could probably have it up at 3 or 4 in the morning since I stay up late!

I'd be willing to do another Donald one (only if necessary), but I have to bow out of the Martha one. I watched the first week and then stopped except for flipping for a few in between commercials. I kind of have a feeling some other peeps feel the same way (I won't speak for them, of course, just a hunch).

Can't do Thanksgiving, unfortunately. OT people may know I'll be in Vegas (Baby!) that weekend. I can take another week of either Apprentice type, though my preference has switched back to Donald's version, 'cause I'm actually watching that one.

I'll try my best to do week twelve of the Apprentice. I'm moving to Arizona and am not sure what my cable/internet situation will be, but will know by then and keep you updated. I just noticed that I had this week of Martha. I didn't tape it as I didn't know I had the summary to write-I was all wrapped up in my TAR Summary I had for this week. Sorry!

According to ARnutz's post about the scheduling, D-Apprentice finishes one week sooner than anticipated. Since I had penciled my name down for the Finale in my proposed schedule, I will stick with it and throw up a finale that week.

If you're asking in regard to the D-Apprentice finale tomorrow (12/15), I was half-expecting to do that one. Unless there are any other takers. Or unless people are tired of my drivel.

I'm still hoping MTW (or someone) can do the Martha finale.
