"Yet Another Last Night's 24"

Okay, yet another week of the singing thing. I still don’t like it, but we did see a brief glimpse of Kim about 15 minutes from the end. But who were all those people she was with? It almost seemed like a movie trailer, but I suppose that was just the editing.

By the way, Wayne Palmer can sing. Man, he’s good. And Chloe did a nice job on the Aretha Franklin song.

I don't know wease - the show has gone so far off course I couldn't watch it. I just took a little nap and turned on the 10 o'clock news to watch the political results. BTW - Illinois will soon have the only AA senator in the Senate - and he is very impressive. I don't know if I'll agree with his politics, but he is very likeable.

How many more weeks do we have to be tortured until there is a new episode? I've already forgotten what has happened up to this point. For all I know, the virus has spread.

Tangent:
I take it you're a Ute fan...

If so, nice choice.

No, I'm not really a Utah fan, I just had them in the pool

Isn't FOX taking a bit of a risk taking a whole month off the show? I mean, I am a die-hard, but won't some viewers not come back to the show?

24 is in somewhat of a different situation from most shows because you can't throw rerun episodes in the middle of the season. It would throw the sequence off and end up being confusing. (Although now that I write that, a recap episode of 24 might be cool.) So they have a big gap rather than throwing a rerun in, which is what most shows would do. On the plus side, it means we get the last eight hours of the day in a row.

Seriously...there are no more breaks until the end? Yippee!

From what I understand, no more breaks.

After this week, of course.

Since there's no serious 24 discussion going on this month (though I think a recap would be good since I haven't seen it since December) I thought I'd ask a question.

How long you been doing triathlons? How many a year? Jus in Canada? Sprints or other distances? Why???

I did my first last fall and started training for one in June last week.

Way to go Sittem! How did it go last fall? What distance are you training for now? Aren't you in Africa right now?

I'm so glad you asked me what I am doing because I have some exciting news! I am going to Sweden in July for the World Long Course (4km swim, 120 km bike, 30 km run). I am freaking a bit because up until now I have only ever done sprints! This is a bit of a jump, but I was offered an opportunity to go to this race and I could not pass it up.

I'll keep you posted on my progress. Let me know how you are doing.

Got back from Africa end of Feb. Still haven't seen a 24 since Dec!

In August I finished! It was an amazing experience. Training for it started me on weight loss and I've dropped 45 pounds - would like to do 15 more yet. I went out of training entirely for 5 months and just started again 3 weeks ago. My times now are better than training times when I stopped in Sept - mostly because I lost another 35 pounds. The sprints I'm looking at are 1/4 mile, 20k and 5 k (though first one is 15 mile bike). Swimming is my weakest - never had a good stroke so I'm around 12 min now in the pool - and only train once a week on this. Using training sched I got from AARP last year. I'm just doing this because of the challenge of getting better. Just hoping this summer to get near the middle of the pack - I think I can looking at times from last year's events.

You are serious!! What a privelage to go to Sweden for this event. I think I could probably ramp up for this length over the course of a summer EXCEPT for the swim. I don't think I'll ever do much more than 1 km on the swim. Best of luck and NO INJURIES in training!!

In season one they did show re-runs early in the season, which was good because that's how I convinced my DH to start watching.
