Check this out, some fans of Nashville Star haven made a petition to lower the age limit of the competition to 16 years old. That's the age limit for American Idol and seven of the top 24 contestants are under 18. The current Nashville Star age limit is 18.

That's kind of funny, but I think I like the fact that the contestants are a bit older on Nashville Star...it means more of them are established musicians already trying to make it in the biz rather than just people looking for 15 min of fame... I guess the new season starts up in a couple weeks. Are you watching cmfan?
