on when the ballots will be finalized. I know it is hard to get everyone together to pick and I am not rushing, just curious.

Whatever happened to this year's Blowies. We've all been eagerly waiting for the cut-offs since ... sob, sob, who knows when.

LAST EDITED ON 07-28-03 AT 01:43 PM (EST)We had problems with the year-end cutoff, since reality TV shows, like all TV shows, fail to respect the calendar -- instead, they run by seasons.
So, it looks like the "year" for the 2003 Blowies will be an extended year, running from January 1, 2002 to May 21, 2003 (the end of this year's TV season). Thus, the 2004 Blowies will cover the 2003-2004 season, from May 22, 2003 to whatever date in May marks the end of May sweeps (and thus the end of the season).
Although a small part of "Survivor: Africa" and a large part of "Temptation Island 2" ran after January 1, 2002, we have decided that those shows will not be eligible for awards in the 2003 Blowies (except in the "quote" category, if anything wins nomination). However, we have decided that "The Mole 2" will be eligible, even though its first three episodes originally aired prior to January 1, 2002.
