Survivorerist's Cornertime

<The familiar theme music of Cornertime is heard, but the introduction video has changed. Now it shows clips from the 27 previous Cornertimes. We see a video montage of a Vampire sniffing something, a ballet dancer welding things, a ladybug cowering in fear, a fairy fluttering up high, a mist of fleas hovering over a cauldron, a belly dancer whispering with a southern belle, a half naked cowboy with writing on his body, a Viking slowly turning around, a beautiful cat eating a chocolate orange, a very tired looking sheik taking complaints, an obviously stoned young man in a cloud of smoke, a sleeeeve all rolled up and ready for business, and a monkey swinging from the rafters. The camera focuses in on the face of Kismet standing in the Cornertime area speaking to the audience.>

Thank you for joining us SB Community. I am very excited to introduce Survivorerist. Eristo is one of the most valuable members of our little family. He is the ultimate nice guy and has been a good friend to everyone. As one of our youngest members, he has become a little brother of sorts to us all.

<Kismet turns and faces Eristo sitting on his stool. His timer reads 02:30:44.>

Thank you for the interview Erist. Why are you in the corner and who sent you here?

To tell you the truth, I don't know. One moment, I'm relaxing at Spanish Banks reading my latest issue of Amber Brkich Monthly and the next moment I get jumped by these two people. One of them was saying something about me coming all this way and not inviting him for a round of golf and the other was just clucking something I couldn't understand. Next thing you know, I wake up here.

We really had to dig for a reason to get you in here.. How did you find SB and what made you hang around?

I was reading a newspaper article about the Gervase X theory one day and, like most posters, I read about two Survivor web communities called Survivorsucks and Survivorblows. Also like most posters, I went to SS first, where I was promptly greeted by their "You suck, go away before one of us gets close enough to slap you" slogan. So I then came here, where I registered under the account name Flash Forward Forever.

Now about why I stayed. Well, originally I didn't. After S1 was over, I left the boards. But when S2 was just around the corner, I remembered the site that had been so kind as to let me join their ranks and returned. Unfortunately, I forgot my password. So I signed in as yours truly <Eristo gets up and does a little spin then sits back down> and the rest is history. By the way, I did finally retrieve my old password a few months later.

So why did you choose Survivorerist as a name? Did you know that it would be impossible to pronounce and spell correctly?

Actually, I didn't think it would be a problem. It doesn't seem so hard to me. <Erist jumps off chair and starts dancing and singing.> S-u-r-v-i-v-o-r-e-r-i-s-t! <does a handstand> Now I'm Tsirerovivrus! That's T-s-i...<He notices Kismet glaring and gets back into seat> sorry.

I like you and I don't want to have to add more time, but please for-the-love-of-all-that's-holy don't sing anymore OK? Who are your favorite posters and why young man?

EBug is a shoo-in for my list. She has an unspoken elegance and irresistibly addictive personality. Also VampKira, Rio, the Maple Leaf Squad of Survivorchick, Kokoro, IceCat, Leif, and anyone else I forgot there for sure, GT, Superman, Monkeyboy, SherpaDave, and Sleeeve all add such dynamic personalities to the bar and boards. You, Kismet, definitely because you thoroughly whupped me in SMarket and Outfrontgirl for the same reason, not to not mention that your senses of humour are amazingly fantastic. I think that's about it. Oh wait. One sec, I missed a few names. I also like 12345678, 13Deb, 14badtz...<edited for length>... zoomnakka, zoso and zz72. Now I'm done.

Erist you are part of the cast of BV. How do you differ from your BV counterpart? Do you like the way you have been portrayed?

I don't think my BV counterpart is too different from myself, actually. It seems like he is just like me, but with every little quirk multiplied by a thousand. I have no problem with the way I've been portrayed because I know that the authors don't really mean it personally. And, hey, I finished sixth, right? <Erist grins>

Superman seems to have taken you under his wing, which is quite scary for most of us. Do you like being his apprentice?

Superman's apprentice? I really don't see how any good can come of this.

<Erist grins and Kismet shakes her head.>

Neither can I. If you want to learn about darkness, I am a much better teacher... Do you think he is corrupting you?

No honestly, Superman is a great person who is full of good humour and creativity. I am honoured to be his understudy. And is he corrupting me? Nah. We'll just leave it at that.

<Kismet looks into the camera and whispers..Looks like the brainwashing is complete.<She turns back to Erist and smiles.> You have a very unusual bar drink of choice. For those in our audience that don't know, will you explain your love of orange milk?

The orange milk is a secret love of mine. Quite simply, it's a secret mixture that was discovered during the accidental leaving of cereal with milk, which slowly, but surely, turned the milk an orange colour. If and when I get out of here, I'll take you over to the Blowhole for a glass. It really is quite delicious.

No thanks I have.. ummm.. an ummm.. I recently discovered that I am allergic to orange flavored things.. So Erist, you are one of the youngest board members, and yet many times you act more mature than your elders. Do you think your age gives you a different perspective?

My age, a different perspective? Hmmm... <Erist rubs non-existent hair on his chin> Nah. I just think that everyone here has their own way of looking at things, goings-on or what have you. Mine is just another one of those ways.

How has this board impacted you in a positive way?

It has shown me that, no matter how weird you think you are, you really aren't the only one. I used to think I was the only one who loved Survivor so much that I would tape each episode and watch them over and over again especially the balance board immunity challenge repeatedly in slow motion and...<Eristo freezes for a second>...um yeah.

Tell us about yourself Erist.

Well there isn't too much to say about myself. I like to go out a lot with friends and family. I also really love playing cards and board games. You can often find me on the internet playing Euchre, Spades, Bridge or Backgammon. That's really about it.

Your writing is incredible, and shows that you have a lot of talent. Do you plan to pursue a career in that area?

Honestly, I don't plan to pursue any type of career in writing. But things can change really quickly so you never know.

I am sure that you will succeed at whatever you decide. So you have spent a lot of time with us. What have you learned from hanging around here?

The most important thing I've learned here, other than the fact that some drugs are illegal for a very good reason, is that you get what you give. If you treat others kindly, you will be treated kindly. If you treat others poorly, kismet will come back to
give you a swift kick in the butt, in more ways than one.

<Kismet laughs.>

Is there anything else you want us to know?

For sure. Everybody here is special in their own way. Nobody here should ever feel bad about themselves as people. Ever.

Thank you Erist. I hope to see you in the bar shortly. Thank you viewers for your attention. This concludes this episode of Cornertime.

I can't express how highly I think of you, Sir. I was hoping we would have an interview with you, but could not imagine who might send YOU to the corner. Thank you for such a wonderful interview. And I don't think you could find anyone better to understudy. Great Cornertime, Kis & Sir.

Sweetie... I don't know what I can say about you.. Whatever I may say, could not possibly speak highly enough, or express what a special human being I think you are.. *gets Surv a tall glass of orange milk with a colored bendy straw* You are going to make some woman very lucky someday.. Hmmmmm. You aren't 8 are you?? Because my daughter is 8... and I can call you when she's 18... lol.. <hugs Surv again>

First of all...looks up and I see that Vampy chick again!*swoon*

<High fives, Svist because I know how Kis hates those damn hugs> hehe

Great interview! Svist, you truly are a unique individual here, and I am glad I got to meet you. I have a feeling that our infatuation with those two Survivor chicks has something to do with the fact we get along! hehe

Drugs aren't bad though...it's how you use them that gets you in trouble! hehe

Edited twice because I KNEW I should have drank orange juice for breakfast instead of beer!! Doh!

Great interview again, Kis.

And wonderful to hear from you, Sir Erist (or should I say Tsirerovivrus)... I was beginning to wonder why our bar's resident bartender/gentleman/Amber-worshipaholic hadn't done his cornertime, yet... now I know... Kis had to hire henchmen to drag you in, because you never do anything wrong .

You never know what might be up my sleeeve...

And people wonder why Sir is one of a very few people I'd defend to the death. Just love that kid. Thanks, as always, for the interview.

Yeah, I'm a DAW. Is that a problem?

Kissy, honestly, these just keep being wonderful.

Survivorerist, thanks ofr being generous about your portrayal in BV. Honestly, I tried to make everyone see SurferWrist in a bad light, still they all creid boohoohoo when he got the boot. Yer just too nice a guy sometimes, ya know!

Great interview, Tsirerovivrus! Always fascinating to learn more about another poster -- especially someone with remarkable depth in thoughts and writing, and is exceedingly mature for his age, proving once again that the attitude is far more important than age. Don't ever change, don't let the other bar denizens corrupt you!

the Maple Leaf Squad of Survivorchick, Kokoro, IceCat, Leif, and anyone else I forgot there for sure

*waving at Surv from down the highway in the same province*

(hope you don't mind my borrowing this flag for a sec, RudyRules... I'll pay you the royalities later, thanks!)

Enjoyed playing euchre with you... look forward to more of the same in the future... probably won't be until S3 is over with all the spoiling to come up and the teaching job starting up next week for the fall semester.

Am I ever glad that I came home from holidays in time to reply to Surv's cornertime! I can't believe you were on Spanish Banks! That is like, 3 blocks from where I live. You know that gorgeous blond that winked at you on the beach? That was me!

Great interview kids!
