He needs power behind some of those notes and it ain't there.

Randy. Did you have a good time. Started out a little rough and you couldn't find the pitch and were ahead of the band. Strange song choice worked it out in the end.

Paula. Surprised you picked that song. You didn't wear the Dolphin shorts thank god. You have such a great instrument. Simon tries to get her to say she liked it.

Simon. I didn't like it, weak, girly and I gotta tell you that there is no chance you will make it through or win.

Fast on the timing, and sounding more cheery, sassy girlish than a guy with a scruffy beard. It had sort of a visual/audio disconnect in his interpretation of this song. With the panel reviews being bad as they were, it looks like he'll be in trouble this week.

Randy. Like watching one of your concerts. It was good. Interesting song choice, did not show off your voice, couple of pitch problems but nice.

Paula. Loves that a couple of notes were off, so you aren't a hologram. In the imperfection you are perfect. Wonderful sensibility to pick songs you can shine on.

Simon. Wasn't as good as last week, should have stayed at the piano. It is getting a little gloomy. You need to lighten up a little bit, no question you will make it through and to the final 2. Might get a little depressing.

Randy. There was some good stuff and bad stuff. Started a bit rough I liked the arrangement and you brought the confidence, you were shy at the beginning. He is never shy in attitude, but vocally. Mad attitude. You can do this.

Paula. I love that you are this bright light, you have a sensitive side and a spicy side, you are real, the real deal. You've got great vocals and you...I love the fact you are true to yourself, take the purple out of your hear.

Simon, purple hair or not, I thought it was horrible. Absolutely useless. Hated the arrangement the performance and the vocal.

Paula. You are defining who you are. Love the strength in your low range so you can wail on the high. You have presence with the mic stand. You all are unique and different.

Simon. I liked it, I didn't love it. you are like one of the girls, huge talent but haven't connected and had your moment. Like more of a soul singer than a wannabe rock singer.

Ok, the band seems to be in his key, but I don't think the guitar was.

Sitting on a stool, no guitar this week, stands up for second verse.

Now I really like this, first song I really liked tonight.

Randy. Great degree of difficulty one of my favorites. You did a pretty good job of it. I give you props for it and for not having the guitar.

Paula. You made it sound effortless with ease and you showed a vulnerability. All the guys are great so far you are exactly what I am loving this season you are unique. Your phrasing is great.

Simon. The Jeff Buckley version is my favorite. I thought it was absolutely brilliant what you did. One of my favorite performances of the night and your strongest so far, you are getting better and better.

He made it look really easy. Easy on the ears, I could close my eyes listening to it. And he looks confident and at ease on stage. I liked that he skipped the guitar and went all vocal. Thumbs up.

Considering how badly he got blasted in the F12 comp, made a comeback last week, he did well this week. Good, smooth vocals. He was glued to the mike, though, which I found distracting for some reason. Still, good performance for Chik.

I'm not trusting DI until it gets itself fixed up. It had Yeagerbomb in the top 2 last week, and while D&L are the most likely two to go home, my butt's been just as reliable as DI
