I'm still interested in knowing whether Obama intentionally tweaked Trump by announcing that his press conference would take place at 10:50 pm, just as when Trump would be making a decision on whom to fire on the show. They couldn't have held the press conference at 10:30 or at 11:00, why right at 10:50? Hmmm.

What was Donald doing at a correspondents dinner?
or is that one of his many many job functions?

He was there to personally investigate allegations that the gold leaf on the invitations wasn't actually made from gold. And since he originally made those allegations, who better to verify them?

To watch his expressions during the bashing is to see a man realizing his opponent is not only both smarter and more articulate than he is, but is in a position where he can bring both to bear in a full scale assault while Donald is stuck in one position: sit. and. take. it. And he didn't take it well.

I'm guessing that all his time in the Boardroom made him forget a basic principle of combat: you're not the only person allowed to attack...

My opinion on the potential deliberate intent of the Presidential timing has been registered.

Could you imagine an actual televised debate between The Donald and Obama during an election campaign? Obama would eat him alive.

No one should ever eat Donald alive: they'd be picking fiberglass out of their teeth for weeks.

I have never seen him win a debate in which the other party was allowed to freely speak. When the people around him can be shut up with a word or are paid to agree with everything he says, he's unstoppable. As soon as he's up against someone who doesn't have to follow the script, Dead Man Talking.

"Extra fallout."

With Donald officially out of the Presidential race after realizing that 'national joke' was not only his best possible result, but his starting line, we're back to looking at another potential season of CA. Which means Donald is looking for a cast --

-- which means he's in trouble.

As other sites are discussing, it's not as if every celebrity is hardline GOP with birther loyalties. He just spend the last couple of months alienating a good portion of his casting pool, many of whom will decide there are ways to earn money for their charities which don't include dealing with a boastful idiot who'll ultimately fire them due to their political beliefs. (He won't say that's the reason, but he'll do it just to feel the power.) Donald's little round of the talk shows is going to cost him in long-term star power.

It won't cost him in credibility. He doesn't have any left.
