I'd like to use this thread to discuss the validity, or the invalidity rather, of the Tahitti Press articles that were released during the filming of S4. Initially I was surprised by the amount of information being revealed. Now I have a different take on the seeming abundance of clues. Now, I've never been a conspiracy theory type person. Most of the time I think the spoilers who say "MB is doing this, or he's misdirecting there", are quite frankly, a little paranoid.
That said, I now believe that most, if not all of what was reported in TP is bunk. Not just inaccurate, mind you, but flat out false. Call them red herrings or misdirections if you will, but they can no longer be relied upon for legitimate spoilers.
TP articles claimed some of the following: The two tribes would swim to shore; three cast members refuse to eat in the IC gross food challenge; the first two members voted out of Survivor would be from different tribes. All of these have been false. In the first case, we determined that a translation error might have been the reason, but what is the reasoning behind the other two blatant lies? Again, call it what you will, but they were simply untrue.
Last night I based my vote on the TP article that stated the first two out would be from separate tribes. Obviously, that was my mistake, and one I won't make again.
Do I think the TP articles offer NO real spoiler value? Well, they did get the Farafu challenge right, but I don't think we should rely on them in terms of who the bootee may be. I know I won't.
