Kristy & Lloyd get the highest score of the show so far - 55.9.

John & Jillian tie them.

Nancy & Dave... 1) Nancy can't shake it, and really needs to never do that in public again. 2) Nancy needs to shut up and quit making excuses. *rolls eyes*

They scored 52.7 (their highest so far), but not high enough to stay out of the hot seat.

ya know what, after I saw Kristy skate a couple weeks ago, I really thought she's the one to beat in this competition. Especially with Deborah gone and Jillian having problems.

I agree. But that may be because Kristy & Lloyd are my favorites.

Just watched Kristy skate. Oh, that was nice. I can see why Kristy is your favorite, arkie. She was really good tonight. I was very pleased that I thought to tape it so I can watch it again. Now let's see how Jillian does.

ETA: Well, Jillian's performance and routine were pretty good, but Kristy's routine was slightly better and more watch-able. In view of Jillian's injuries, she was pretty good. I'm impressed with her being able to keep upin spite of problems. John Nicks' assessment was realistic and fair.

It was painful to watch Dave and Nancy's performance. Painful to watch an Olympic skater skate down to that level. What can I say, they tried. Like Dave said, "this is a million times harder than hockey." Dorothy actually said "you guys are amazing" at the very end, but she kinda swallowed it so it couldn't really be heard. Sheeez.... amazing!? It is true he's improved so gotta give him props.

Now, watching Bruce. I'm reminded of something I heard that a Brazilian woman once said: "When you get older, you gotta choose between your @ss and your face. I choose face." I so totally relate! That's why I'm still a bit overweight! Honestly, Bruce looks too tiny and wizened on screen. George Hamilton looks a bit puffy, but I'd rather be puffy than wizened (Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, etc.) *smooches to our own Puffy*

Bruce and Tai: you gotta hand it to these people, they were popular in the SEVENTIES. Just to keep going like that is impressive in itself. I mean, the guy is 55 years old! Gotta give it to him for doing this. (you'll never find me on skates at that age!)

It's funny to watch all the professionals visibly relax while skating, relieved that some difficult move didn't end up in disaster!

Bruce & Tai received 54.7.

*does happy dance* Buh-bye Nancy!

There really is something tight-@ss about Nancy, huh? After watching this show, it's really obvious how restrained she is in every way. It's even evident a bit in her skating. I would be interested to hear what WaterDrop has to say about that.

I have never been a fan of Nancy Cow-again. I never thought she was as elegant as the commentators always gushed about her. And then when she opens her mouth, sheesh!

And since I live about 5 miles from where Miss Tonya practiced and have seen her skate around socially over at Lloyd Center (a mall in Portland with an ice rink), I can understand how there would be a very natural rivalry between the two.

Poor Tonya, it's like she'll never understand how to overcome her deprived traumatized past. She's very talented but a very wounded soul. My heart goes out to her for that. But Nancy? I agree with you.

And of course we are supposed to believe she didn't have ANYTHING to do with her agent/now husband's marriage break-up right?? Nancy is just a slut on skates.

I really give Bruce and Tai a lot of credit for being competitive. Here he's 55 with bad knees and a gash on his head. He's doing something I could never do- props to him.

The other 2 pairs are really good though- it's amazing to see how much they've improved.

Last night was outstanding!

I don't especially like Kristy Swanson as an actor--I so remember Charlie Sheen saying she's the dumbest actress he ever met--but she is the bomb in this program! Totally the best! Jillian is good, and Bruce really pulls through, but Kristy is the best.

The three weaker pairs are gone, now the three strongest. A finale with Bruce seems anti-climactic since he's not strong enough to win, but a finale without him seems like the drama is missing.
