"New hotel guest Tara was a model for the initial Paradise Hotel PR photos?"

Here's a picture of Tara from FOX.com:

Now here's a headshot of the woman FOX featured in the initial Paradise Hotel press release photos (there were supposed to basically be staged promo photos with models)

Look familiar?

Here are some more.

Exactly how pathetically staged is this show?

that's hilarious! But, no wait, everybody keep filling out their online applications to be the next guest on Paradise Hotel.

Ya, and keep writing Santa Claus while you're at it... this application process on this show is so clearly rigged.

There can be no doubt that in Week 1, neither Dave or his rival had applied via the website since the show hadn't even aired yet (more reputable shows might have addressed this by not having the first booting until 2 weeks after the show started.) Then in Week 2 we had Exiles washout Kavita -- who I have a hard time believing just happened to apply online. And then don't get me started on Week 3's Matt... the supposed hard-partying "musician" who I can't imagine is home much to watch any primetime TV at all, never mind watching this drivel religiously.

And that doesn't even being to address the "over the top aggressive" role that so far one of the applicants had managed to play each week (na... that's not staged at the producer's instructions... not at all.)

Congratulations to Paradise Hotel, many have tried and failed, but Paradise Hotel has finally wrestled the title of worst reality show ever from Love Cruise. Bruce Toms' mom must be proud -- he's a two-time champion!

Totally agree with you, Webby, about this application, bit... although I want to ask: Did they say that the applicants WOULD come from online applications? I don't remember seeing that they said this was so... just saying if you WANT to apply, to do so online...

Definitely, these applicants are pre-staged. I'm curious as to what Dave's "in" connection is... he is so out of place with these other people that one has to wonder who's little boy he is. And I mentioned somewhere before that one of the two applicants seemed to always be confrontational with the stars... who are, minutes later, going to vote in one of them! And that confrontational one never makes it... BUT the confrontational one gets to demonstrate some abilities... such as "cowgirl"'s clogging routine, etc.

Sorry, but I must disagree here: Mr. Personality is IMHO the all-time worst Reality TV show ever, even worse than Love Cruise, even worse than this show. But does that still not make Mr. Toms a three-time loser?!?!

Nope, you're confusing your Bruces.

Bruce Nash is the "Mr Personality" producer (also "For Love Or Money", "Meet My Folks", "Who Wants To Marry My Dad?", "My Life Is A Sitcom", "Dance Fever" and the MIA "Around The World In 80 Dates" new series)

Bruce Toms is one of the co-executive producers of "Paradise Hotel" (also "Love Cruise, "Boarding House" and "Under One Roof")

Nash actually has a better record than Toms...

Mike Fleiss is the other big player in these shows, he's behind "The Bachelor", "The Bachelorette", "High School Reunion", "Are You Hot?", "The Will" and "Rich Guy, Poor Guy"

I don't want to wash the slime off of the PH producers in any way, but it is a common practice to sign up guests/audiences/contestants from malls, amusement parks and gyms for an unknown show. That would explain why many of the guests came from AZ -- the "scout" there had a real eye for the psychotic and damaged personalities that P-Ho requires.

Then (to put the slime back on), you put your preferred candidate in the studio audience against someone who's relatively normal. Perhaps whisper in the ear of the guests already on Terror Island -- uhh, I mean Pair-Of-Dice Hotel and you've got your choice. Or "fix", as the French would say.

But maybe that's just the paranoid (not lawyer) in me talking.

Well, we knew something was up when Kavita made it... Kavita who is a veteran of a Reality TV show already (even if it isn't one of the biggies (sorry, JeffGator!)).

So, no, I'm not surprised at all to see this.

It's funny how many coincidences have been on this show. What reality tv show was Kavita on? Toni was on Love Cruise, which has the same creator as PH.

What I have never got about this show is when is this all done?? The have the LA studio audience there and a new person gets a "ticket to paradise" then they immediately show previews of them already there for a day or so....but then they tell you to go to the website and apply....how far ahead are they filming???

Shakes you can help on this one....when is Toni's birthday?? They just celebrated it on TV last week...when is it really?
