Please keep all information, discussion, and in-progress spoilers about the episode on this thread until those on the West Coast have a chance to see it. Thank you. Remember: the sight of Chris in a clown outfit isn't something you can really prepare people for anyway.

Audrey is having a breakdown. She said she was always so beautiful as a kid and was disliked because of it.

Audrey: blah, blah, blah, whine, whine

Don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful!

Audrey's bitching and moaning about people *gasp* saying she's the weak link in the boardroom! She's whining about her horrible childhood and how everyone hated her because she is beautiful and blah blah blah.

And she keeps going on a tangent because John is saying she'll make more money because she's pretty and sweet, and now she's angry because John doesn't trust her.

Chris and John are completely right (what are the odds you'll hear that about Chris again?), you're on a national reality show for a high power position, and the boardroom is a sharktank. Audrey has no shot at winning if she keeps up the whiny, need to get the final word thing in.

Although, the scariest thing in this episode might not be Audrey's bitchy attitude, rather Chris in a clown suit.

This whole thing started w/ Craig and now Audrey is going off on John?!?

John has got to be the favorite to win this game. He is wise.

I think him or Alex definitely have a chance, although Tana hasn't done anything stupid in my recollection, and there's plenty of no-names left.

Did you catch the shot of John against the New York skyline as it faded to his profile? Money shot for the season?

Am I the only person who thinks John is Vince Vaughn's dopplebanger? Maybe it was the commercial for the new John Travola movie

The teams are going to Chelsea Piers to design there mini golf courses.

DT says he wants them to be fabulous and featured in Golf Digest.

Have there been mini golf courses featured in Golf Digest?!?

What the heck?

Audrey: I want to throw my hat in the ring to be PM, I've played miniature golf.

John says no he doesn't trust his future with her leading.

She tries to convince them. She succeeds!

They will be throwing her to the wolves if she loses!!!

Well, I am Donald Trump, after all. If I f@rt, it should be in Golf Digest. Or Fortune. Whatever, as long as they spell the nane correctly.

"RE: The Apprentice #3 Episode #7 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Fishercat on 03-03-05 at 09:16 PM
Haha, John just rejected Audrey's bid for PM on his own merit since he doesn't want his job ruined by someone with personal issues at this point. And the person with the least personal issues? CHRIS? HULK SMASH CHRIS???

And Audrey's PM as she convinces everyone, and I am relieved now that this clown idea might not be Chris'.

Craig is getting a serious marketing job...and Chris is designing the course? John's getting promotions. Interesting, I expect many volcanoes on Chris' course...with eruptions.

THAT IS WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE! A Napoleonic/Viking/Conquerer golf course! They can invite back Apprentice celebrity whores for the course! Brian! She who must not be hired! The whole bunch! Even feature The Donald on the 19th hole. Brillant!

Seriously, that would be funny if it were the same shop.

Audrey is refusing to delegate specific responsibility...

Thank you John.

Audrey SUCKS!!! She is doing nothing!

She wants everyone else to make all of the decisions!

John says she's trying to set him up as some kind of scapegoat!

OMG!!! This is so obvious!

9:22 pm and I predict:

Net Worth loses and Audrey is FIRED!!!

Let's see if I'm right...

"RE: The Apprentice #3 Episode #7 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Fishercat on 03-03-05 at 09:25 PM
If Donald needs someone to delegate responsibility and just go Todd on a mission, just give me a thousand bucks for a weekend and I can do it for this dipwad.

Networth could be in some serious trouble, the edit is very weird. They are just oozing an Audrey boot this week.

I didn't think I'd be saying that my boy Chris is sounding like the sane one in the group, but as John's puppet, it works.

Instead of a lesson, what DT did was discuss "friendships" and golf. "You can hate someone at the dinner table, but when you get out on the golf course it's completely different. blah, blah..."

Haha, Chris is scaring the crap out of the kids in a clown suit, and he really doesn't like it.

Audrey wants John to wear his costume. And John just laid a verbal slap on her, oh man, this is brillant.

Oh man, this could be the most unintentionally hilarious episode EVER!!!

The kid looks totally freaked out! Mwhahhaha. This is brillant.

Who was the one with the tobaccy?

Magna wins at $508, Net Worth made $304.

The prize is a trip to Trump National Golf Course.

IMO, Magna's course was much better.

Now do we think Audrey will bring John in the boardroom???

"RE: The Apprentice #3 Episode #7 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Fishercat on 03-03-05 at 09:36 PM
Absolutely. She'll say he wasn't cooprative (he wasn't, nor should he have been IMO) and he wasn't a team player. She'll prolly bring Chris in as well as John's puppet, as revenge, and in hope of getting him to go on an outburst (was he the one chewing tobacco?)

"RE: The Apprentice #3 Episode #7 East Coast Spoiler Thread"

Yep, Chris was the one! Guess he's the "addict".

She's definitely bringing John in, which John thinks is a huge mistake since he'll crush her.

Did she mention Craig?

I bet Chris is the addict, but if he's fired for chewing tobacco...well...that's pretty stupid.

I would think so, but she's not the brightest bulb in the box.

No big shock. Magna's superior marketing and not-so-inept leader whooped Networth pretty much.

Magna gets golfing with The Donald and Cristie Kerr, while certain people don't get the golfing thing...I'd look just as bad.

Donald offered 1k for anyone who hit the green, I think only Bren got close.

That could be one of the most pathetic leading efforts this season.

what is the lead time between finding out who won the task and going into the board room? because i thought audrey had some big hair going on, and now it seems like her hair was flat ironed and straight. just curious.

Audrey should be dead in this game.

SHE'S BRINGING THREE PEOPLE IN? Wow.

Bringing Angie in for what? Support?

If I were the Donald, I'd be tempted to fire Angie and Audrey if it was her choice to come in, if not, Audrey's done. The last thing you want to do is CLEARLY bring someone in for support. He knows who's side Angie is on, it's not that hard to perceive.

Interesting note, my grandmother's name is Audray, and her best friend? Angie. It's weird.

Anyway, if you are going to bring three people in, WHY NOT BRING IN CHRIS??? He's a ticking time bomb it seems, bring him in for being an "addict" and really not designing the course that well as an excuse. Hopefully, he'll blow up and you're saved. If not, what does it hurt?

Now she's even got Angie turning against her. Angie didn't see it coming.

She's saying all three of them were on the marketing team.

Ashley didn't like the 22-year old comment

She's blaming them for doing a half-assed job. And now everyone should be fired but Tana?

No one respects Audrey. She looked shocked at the beauty doesn't do it comment. Audrey's gone. That was simple.

Too simple there.

"Audrey's final words"
Posted by Fishercat on 03-03-05 at 10:02 PM
The usual "great experience, didn't go my way, wish {person} would have been fired". How is being called beautiful by Trump a compliment, but by John an insult. Weird stuff. Both were saying that you were bad enough to get fired over a condescending leader without the role and a chewing tobacco addict.

Anyway, even though she has had this hard life, both parents ripped away, pretty harsh life, she still reeks of rich daddy's girl to me for some odd reason. No proof, just the aura. That is why I can't judge people well.

Anyway, glad she's gone, no real addition to the team. And if Chris lasts one more week, I think he's in the Top half of the candidates. THAT is scary.

"THis show is a joke"
Posted by bothered on 03-03-05 at 10:32 PM
This show has become a joke. I don't think Audrey is strong at all but she was exactly right. People who have tasks delegated to them are not being held responsible. John was delegated the task of promotions and did nothing. He should be accountable. If Trump delegated to Carolyn the task of promotion and Carolyn did nothing, you know Carolyn would be fired.

The show is very predictable. The PM gets fired on nearly every episode. The people who really screw up don't get fired.

Regarding the charge that Audrey did not control her team, no PM on a losing team has ever controlled their team. These PMs do not have the power necessary to control belligerent team members who are insubordinate and do nothing. They cannot fire them and they do not control their salaries (the two things in the corporate world key to power). That is Trump's fault for creating an environment in which the PM does not have any real power.

When teammembers were lazy on Apprentice 1 (remember the goofs on the goof course with Bill) or were disrespectful, they should have been fired but the PM is.

I am sick of the b.s. when people last longer than they should because Trump refuses to hold people accountable.

"RE: THis show is a joke"
Posted by seahorse on 03-03-05 at 10:56 PM
For the 6th time in 7 weeks a losing PM was fired. Only Bren survived as a losing PM and he had Michael who had basically quit in a previous task when he had immunity to being fired.

Audrey had a death wish asking to be PM after her performance last week. All three people she took in the boardroom thought she should be fired. She was in a bad situation when her team lost.

She had no leadership over her team and would not direct them on how to do their task for fear she would be blamed in the boardroom.

"RE: THis show is a joke"
Posted by Fishercat on 03-04-05 at 00:00 AM
I think seahorse's last sentence was the key point. She did not direct them on how to do their task. Any person can delegate responsibility on a wide open task. If the main point of a project manager was to delegate responsibility, Todd would have been a great leader. I could tell person x to manage realm 1 of a project, person y to manage realm 2, etc.

When Chris and John specifically called Audrey for advice on what to do specifically, she re-delegated it to John, which sealed her fate if they lost.

How much did she do throughout the whole episode other than argue with John? I know her and her crew picked out the costumes for the gimmick of the course (clowns? Chris was a scary clown.), but what else did they do? Sure, the advertising was piss poor, I don't think many people would deny that, but that can fall on the head of the PM as well. What's more important? Clown suits or getting people to the course? If it was as bad as she said, I would think that a competent leader would go over there and re-delegate assignments and take it into her own hands.

John and Craig definitely have some blame to take and she was right to take them into the board room. However, it was just a poor job done. Team Magna dominated the pier, and although she delegated responsibility, not a single person (outside of maybe Angie) seemed to show her the respect that other leaders have received and there were no concrete plans. Magna got out and made exclusive deals that helped propel them to victory, and both John and Audrey shoulder blame for not getting anywhere near that and having to lowball for business. However, when you have anyone who is talking taking the side of John on the whole, Audrey's emotional outburst at the beginning of the episode, and the fact that John has emerged as a favorite while Audrey was a boot target prior to this episode and was viewed as a weak link, it was the firing that had to be made.

Audrey did the worst possible thing this episode: she took the PM role when she had at least two team members (Chris and John) who were not big fans of her, after an emotional outburst no less. How often is a person (in the middle of the game) flat out denied the "yay" vote of being a PM by a player who doesn't want to be PM? Who wanted a ticking time bomb to be PM?
