Let's talk about tonight's show on this thread until the westies have had a chance to watch the show.

Tonight, the remaining eight teams are searching for the third artifact out of seven.

I finally blogged

I'm watching last week's episode now, which I originally passed up in favor of Gordon's Geckos. Who knew the effects of getting wasted in Amsterdam were permanent?

I am hoping that the Fogals get what is coming to them...they need to be Fogalled!

I saw an ad which had a team, I think the Fogals, calling the Hanlons asking "where are you?" and the Hanlons are making static noises imitating a bad connection!!!!!

I think there are more in on the phone call than just the Hanlons.

Probably, but the Hanlons were the only one I recognized in the short look that I saw in that ad..........

Just before that snippet (I saw lastnight), one of the Matts is talking to a group of people and he says something like "are we all in this to get the Fogals"...or something like that.

I have to agree but I think the dumbest thing they did was at Mt. Rushmore when they searched in trash cans and carried around rocks thinking they were clues. *rolls eyes*

Actors on a reality show? Nah...

...they're wanna-be actors.

Maybe someone should build a reality show around that. 'Next Sidekick Stereotype.'

"They just showed a 'recap'"
Posted by IceCat on 07-03-06 at 08:49 PM
For episode three

Where they talked about the Browns being allowed to replace the Grads who quit due to injury and showed a big climax at a lighthouse where the Hanlons are eliminated?

What episode is supposed to be shown tonight?

I am confoozed...

"RE: They just showed a 'recap'"
Posted by mysticwolf on 07-03-06 at 08:51 PM
Girls go home with a broken leg as a consolation prize and Brown's are back in. Hanlon's are ticked.

"Spoiler for tonight..."
Posted by IceCat on 07-03-06 at 08:53 PM
They screwed up on the recap and showed a recap for tonight's whole episode... the Hanlons and the Browns fight it out at the lighthouse at the end and the Hanlons are gone. That's a hell of a production error.

"RE: Spoiler for tonight..."
Posted by volsfan on 07-03-06 at 08:55 PM
You know...I was typing and not paying much attention but I do remember seeing the lighthouse. WOW!

"Yup..."
Posted by IceCat on 07-03-06 at 08:57 PM
They said 'on last week's episode... Browns replace grads due to injury, climax at light house, roman numerals, Browns and Hanlons last two teams, Hanlons third team eliminated.

The don't make mistakes like that on the Amazing Race.

"RE: Yup..."
Posted by Estee on 07-03-06 at 09:06 PM
But they don't get non-stop product endorsements like this on TAR! Isn't that worth something? Stay tuned to see which company will be endlessly stumped for next!

Speaking of stumps, there's that host again.

"RE: They just showed a 'recap'"
Posted by volsfan on 07-03-06 at 08:53 PM
This is the fourth hour. We had a two hour premiere and then last week's show. A recap before tonight's show. I think this is episode four because the two hour premiere was two seperate episodes.

people that are racing in their hometown...hardly ever do well on that leg?

"RE: Why is it..."
Posted by mysticwolf on 07-03-06 at 09:08 PM
Because no matter where you are people take their hometown for granted and almost never do any of what others would think of as the touristy stuff.

"RE: Why is it..."
Posted by Snidget on 07-03-06 at 09:22 PM
Yep, and the, "I know where I am going," thing takes over and they don't really bother to double check where things are.

Sometimes the route that makes sense from where one lived may not be the best from where you are now.

Even though I re-watched last week's episode...I had the same question. I was wondering how the last episode ended.

Could this be the wrong episode?

#4 instead of #3?

"WTF?"
Posted by volsfan on 07-03-06 at 09:06 PM
Now, I am lost. Unless they have to break out of their pairings, it is hard to see how the hanlons come in last unless the 6 groups of team can't figure out the clue before the Ex-CIA and Fogals do. hhhhmmmm.

LAST EDITED ON 07-03-06 AT 09:07 PM (EST)

Global in Cananda is showing episode #4 with only 7 teams remaining. Is it the same everywhere?

"RE: What a screw-up!"

No, we have 8 teams left.

"RE: What a screw-up!"
Posted by Snidget on 07-03-06 at 09:07 PM
East Coast US and it is a show with 8 teams I think as one of the clues they had to do in teams of two and if you have 7 teams that won't work.

Has anyone checked the credits to see if relatives of the Hanlons are somehow involved in the production?

"RE: What a screw-up!"

Geez, Estee, you finally watch and you manage to cause a production screw-up destined to kill the show? And, unless I'm mistaken, you haven't even written a summary of this one yet. Way to go!

"RE: What a screw-up!"

What do you mean, 'finally'? I watched the premiere, too! It's just that they scheduled it directly against HK and whatcha gonna watch first, Gordon losing his mind or the Hanlons trying to find one between them?

What is the nationality of the peep writing the recrap for this night? Or, will this be a two-fer week with 2 summaries written, 1 U.S., 1 CN?

"I'm an American"
Posted by realitybites on 07-04-06 at 08:03 AM
This guy is American from the East Coast (at least the Eastern time zone), and I've already done the recap for the episode last night that I saw, #3.

Someone else is already assigned to do eppie 4 (which Canada apparently got). Whether they do it this week or next is out of my hands.

I'm realitybites and I approved this post.

I have episode 4 and I'm in America on the East Coast too, so I haven't seen the episode yet and will summarize it next week. I wonder which episode Canada will see then... hmmm?!?!

I'm one of those lucky Canadians who got to see "one week into the future". If I'm going to see the future, why couldn't I have seen next week's lottery draw instead? Oh well, just my luck.

Anyway, the Global TV schedule on the Toronto Ch 6 site shows 2 episodes next Monday.

8:00 PM
Treasure Hunters The eight teams must pair up to find the third of seven historical artifacts. TVPG

9:00 PM
Treasure Hunters The teams search for hidden messages from the past to lead them through a famous yet treacherous route as they seek the fourth of seven artifacts

Provided they get their act straight this time, it would seem we get to see #3 at 8 pm and see a 'rerun' of #4 at 9 pm.
