"The Tribal Council location"

As reported at claycritters.com, the Tribal Council location is at Colette Bay. (The press releases are also archived there.)

Tahiti Presse, 11-23:
"On the Taiohae heights, above the Keikahanui hotel (Nuku Hiva Pearl Lodge), a shelter has been set up for the proud Marquesan hunters. It enables them to control access to the Colette bay."

There's a photo with with the article that has the caption:
"Behind these mountains lies the Colette bay where the "Survivor" tribunal is located."

Tahiti Presse, 11-5:
"The Survivor crew is responsible for major roadworks in the Colette bay, in the south of the island. Access to this part of the island has always been difficult and is limited to four wheel drive vehicles."

Colette Bay is the bay to the west of Taiohae Bay. http://www.claycritters.com/map/survivor_4_map.htm

I found the next two photos at http://chez.mana.pf/~mainente/marquises/marquises.html.

This is Taiohae Bay, and Colette Bay is just visible on the right.

In this image, Taiohae Bay is on the left (and the Pearl Lodge is somewhere below and left of the shoe), and Colette Bay is centered in the right half of the photo.

Finally, this is from http://www.antoine-islands.com/destination/dest/free/marquise/phot10.htm. It's also Taiohae Bay, and it gives a better idea of the height of the ridge that separates Taiohae Bay from Colette Bay on the other side.

Thanks Diamond... this is a real nice look at where S4 is going to be and I'm already looking forward to it because I think it's going to make for a much better Survivor show than the current one in Africa. So many more possibilities for reward/immunity challenges, natural hunting for fish/food, beaches and vegetation to take shelter with, etc.

We should get much less complaining from contestants on the surroundings and cleanliness, etc.
