Did anyone else see this documentary? It was about children competing in beauty pageants. It really disturbed me how some of the parents really push their kids to the limit. I mean, an 18- month-old with hair extentions? Orthodontics to fill in where baby teeth have fallen out? And what was even more disturbing was that the main girl the show focused on looked alot like Jon Benet Ramsey. That's all I'm going to say, for now, if anyone saw it I'd like to know what you thought.

Unfortunately I saw it. As I have a two year old little girl, what I felt went beyond disgust. I also noticed the "mothers" hugged EACH OTHER, while only the one dad hugged his daughter. It is beyond me how they claim they are doing it for the girls. "They receive scholarship money if they win." Yeah, well the $70,000 Swan's mom claims to have spent on pageants would have gone a long way toward college if invested now. I'll stop now, this would be a very long post indeed if I said everything I would like to and I don't have the restraint to put it nicely.

I saw it also and I thought it was horrible! To put little children under such pressure can't be good for them and it was so obvious that the parents and especially the mothers were doing it only to feed their own egos. The one kid was a dead ringer for Jon Benet Ramsey.
