This is not just wishful thinking. Somehow the judges have annointed him "he who shall not be criticized", but he was in the bottom two once before, so maybe the public does have a clue. While Kim and Clay each had one off performance and two great ones, Ruben was mediocore across the board. Hey judges, he sings OFF KEY. How can you not notice that? And yes, he gets drowned out by his background voices - that is not a "big" voice.

The seeds have been so firmly planted, though, I'm not sure the inevitable can be overcome. I won't be a bit surprised if Kim goes, but I won't call it a sure thing. Ruben might be vulnerable, and I'd love to see it happen.

From bouncing around the AI boards, I noted that the 'Joshaholics' are voting as a group for Clay tonight. Wonder how that will affect the endgame, and how much a good night for Kim borrows from Ruben's pool?

One of Clay's teachers talks with him after every performance. She called in to the local radio station today and said that Clay told her that he had been asked to stretch the song.

Yes, it's hearsay, but it's someone who talked to Clay. And this isn't the first time she's called in to the radio station, so it's been confirmed that she is indeed who she says she is and does have regular contact with him.

Ruben SHOULD go, but it's going to be a Clay v. Ruben grand finale and off course the judges will want to convince the public that Ruben is the second coming of God.

I don't know what Randy keeps hearing. I truely have to wonder if he is bragging about Ruben just because He is black. Considering the bashing that Simon gave some of the Corey and Charles I doubt race is a factor. Simon also did not hold back on some of the black final 2 finalists. Nor was he afraid to bash Trenyce on several occasions(a drag show!?). And did Simon every give Ricky Smith a good review? Hell no.

Randy also has had no problem of not sing praises for Kim Locke (though she is biracial without inside knowledge of this the girl looks black). And remember Randy bashed at least 2 black female final 32.

I doubt very seriously this is a race issue. And remember, people sound different live than they do on TV as Simon indicated previously on the show.

That is all true. Just that Randy has been extremely vocal on how much he loves Ruben. That puts this on a different plane then Kim, Charlie, Treyence, etc...... So just am wondering how they can think this person is worthy when he is not. I agree that my theory is lame. So what would be yours.

He is the best on the show right now, but just as Ryan said, remember Tamyra? Anything can happen....although this is one of those Sherpa "Christy" votes, hehe.
