The new race starts with a new format.

And to my surprise I love it.

The fastest racers got to choose their partners, and that meant we did not see slow racers tried to very slow racers.

Only one team had a member I did not like (She suggested she could win the race on the basis of her looks) and she and her team member clearly were not strong racers.

Once in Panama, the racers had to drive themselves to the locks (I dislike taxi roulette) and a number of them got lost

Next they had to drive to a nature center - more getting lost!

It seems that GPS has ruined the ability to read maps. Worse was the guy too smart for his own good giving directions in degrees.

Next is a dugout race, and it is clear they did not hold back - almost all the teams needed more than two tries to pass. There was also a bow and arrow test but I think only one team was able to do it.

On the other-hand dug-outs are rounder than canoes. the number times teams spilled over is so funny.

But worse, the number of teams that got lost finding the pit-stop.

Future shows I predict a large number of mis-reading of maps, I mean that was not a complex map in the nature center and they still mis-read it.

I did like the format also. Some teams seem to be outmatched. Will be interesting to see how they work together as they get further in the race.

Teams are already breaking alliances.

One thing I like about the race is that unlike the other so-called reality shows people rarely gang up to push someone out, and it usually does not work anyway.

Go Brazil, race to a helipad and sign up to get a ride out.

Clues has them doing a Samba dance vs build a gym set.

I know I have two left feet, so it would be gym for me.

Gym work does not look hard, but some things look very heavy.

Not for the smaller team members.

Team misses water in barrel. Of-course the judge does not tell them that.

Samba team is really laying down the beat.

Team finally notices lack of water, tries to hid clue from other teams.
