Phil asks about race romance.

The next stop is in Armenia.

Ps. The older man (Scott) is learning how much his daughter really knows.

Looks like they all were on the same plane, now they have to get to the Opera House. And get ticket at the box office.

It open at 8 am, but there is no board to order the arrivals.

They all get ticket to a Sabre Dance and have to search the theater for their next clue.

People are crawling on the floor for the clue, turns out the cleaning crew have the tickets.

Two teams are gone but the others did not see where they got it.

One teams ses the clue and gets it but sneaks out without telling the other team.

Detour: Make 200 threads of an Amerindian rug or make the local thin bread, 15 of them.

Don't the teams notice that a man in a tie is vacuuming?

To many people cleaning staff and other service individuals are invisible. I have seen it happen many times, and as a computer tech have seen problems caused by the cleaning staff (moving tables with running computers at night) but no-one on the day staff who are the people I usually meet not knowing where the problem came from because they never think of the existence of such people.

I take note of them, after-all after driving a 100KM to find so key equipment was not plugged in because the janitor unplugged that night to use the floor cleaner but the day users never thought to check the plug because they know "No-one has been in this room since I left it last night". The totally forget the presence of the cleaners.

And still the cleaning man is invisible to some people.

Now all the teams have to go up the stairs (1000 steps) for their next clue for the detours.

The ovens for baking the bread is very hot, and you have to put your entire arm into them to press the bread to the sides of the oven.

And if you do it wrong the bread drops to the coals at the bottom of the oven!

Some bread is starting to burn.

One team thinks they are doing the carpet fast until they look around and see how fast the people who make a living doing this can move.

One teams thought they had fifteen done, but the judge only passed six of their breads.

No way would I have opted to do the rug weaving challenge. I've been there (where they make those rugs) and watched those people work. Although the work is beyond tedious, the people that do it are beyond skillful.

And it helps a lot to have small hands.

Brodie and Kurt were the first to finish the bread task and now are on a bus to their next clue.

Some teams are doing the carpet task very fast, but some teams are very slow. I am not sure what is slowing them down.
The clue says to take a bus, but one team take a taxi cab.

Now another team has taken a taxi!

The end of this race will be a mess.

Roadblock, at Mount Ararat!
Have to do an oil change on a car I think as barely a vehicle.

PS. Notice the buses have rows of compressed gas on the top to fuel them, I would not want to roll down a hill in one of them.

Brodie and Kurt finish first but still have to make it to the temple Garni (sp?) to get to the pit-stop.

They make it and get an express-pass.

One team member is having a hard time getting the oil filter off.
Another team member who is not doing the oil change had problems figuring out how to get the gas cap off her car!

Scoot gives a clue to the girl on how to take off the oil filter.

She is going the wrong way, she is tightening the oil filter onto the engine.

Another team member give her a hug, and her son encourages her.
Scott tells her she was turning it the wrong way. Scott and Blair are team number five at the pit-stop.

And the race still continues, this was not the end of the leg.
So all is still in the race.
