blah blah blah, Danny's insane, Todd can't lead. Todd you're fired.

On with the show already!

Yeah. What was that, sixty subjective minutes? No need to watch the first episode -- Donald will Explain It All For You.

Evening, Estee. I know it's just recarp, but where is everyone? Hope they didn't miss the 8:30 start

They're trying to guess who's going to be canned...they're all saying Danny

"Oh my G..." when he walks in the door.

Danny said he thinks DT likes him and that DT relates to him (even though he said he was a disaster)

"Bren"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 08:45 PM
You know, if Bren is going to do the Raj thing, he really need to learn how to keep his bowtie straight.

And Danny needs the Fab Five, stat.

"The task"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 08:47 PM
Whoo hoo, let's see how many corny "so how's business" interactions between DT and one of his cronies

Danny is looking sharp in his nice threads.

"Behind me is Trump In hotel and tower...I've taken this building from what was once an old office building and built a great hotel and am very proud of it...each team will be given $20K to renovate a hotel on the Jersey shore...the team who gets the highest score from its guests is going to win"

$25,000 to renovate a hotel in Jersey. Is that a lot? A little? Not from the East Coast.

Brian is PM for Street Smarts.

LAST EDITED ON 01-27-05 AT 08:53 PM (EST)

The PM from Net Worth is Brian

Kristen doesn't like him and is worried about him as PM..."he has a huge security issue and people like that cannot lead. Don't wanna start a fight with Brian - it's not fun"

Angie calls the hotel adorable fro the outside...the inside...it smells and there are missing and broken tiles and mildew (hello..wtf did you think you were getting 20K for..maroons)

Audrey (wtf is that?) is calling about getting a dumpster for $700, Kristen doesn't want to start throwing around money. Brian overrules and said order the dumpster.

Brian and Kristen are butting heads about the dumpster and how to run things...Brian says she's forgetting that he's the PM. She says you don't start spending money until you've made more than one phone call and have an idea of how much things are going to cost

Got blog?

Looks like I'll actually have something for my alter-ego to say on the 'Be The' thread this week. Kristen has talked, and it is not good.

The first motel is in trouble with the budget. $20,000 with no real furnishings, and especially no beds -- they can clean up the entire place and install cots, or they can get, at a guess, twelve to fifteen rooms completely up and running, including bulk discounts, and pray the smell doesn't travel.

But since they're being rated on the average of the responses, not how many they get...

PM is Michael - he's a real estate guy so he was good for this task

Moldy, bugs, etc.

Verna and Michael are talking about customer service

Michael says they need to renovate before they worry about csutomer service

Verna says they need to work on customer service because that's half of what they're being judged on and what they need to accomplish today.

They're arguing ad the walk off into the sunset ...

"Net Worth"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 09:00 PM
Brian says he's the best at negotiating with contractors.

Craig is wondering why they are buying all new toilets. He said he and Chris? were taking inventory for hours and they didn't need more than 1 or 2 new toilet seats

Audrey is saying why do we need new toilets...she says "If we lose this task because Brian threw away 14 toilets that you "#$*#$" in...your a$$ isn't gonna know the difference between a $500 toilet and a $5 toilet" LMAO

Brian is saying how great the deal was blah blah blah (moron)

"RE: Net Worth"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-05 at 09:06 PM
John's definitely playing Voice Of Reason here. I can't blame the PMs too harshly just yet on this task, though: two days, even with no sleep and work crews going straight through, isn't enough time to pull a full renovation off.

I can blame Brian for acting like an idiot, though. Wanna see?

"Net Worth"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 09:00 PM
The ladies from Net Worth are going to Target to purchase linens and pillows. Brian decides to replace all the toilets in the units, instead of just the toilet seats.

"Net Worth"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 09:04 PM
Brian and John arguing about what's going on. John calls him a "silly little man"

Brian thinks he's supposed ot be the sole decision maker.

John says you can't do it on your own and he says "you are not getting this job with that attitude...period...G-d what an idiot!"

Sorry I missed some stuff up there...dd needed something to drink and I had to switch the VCR to tape The Exonerated

"Brian and John"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 09:05 PM
John is trying to counsel Brian on his people skills, and Brian won't have any of it. John tries to tell him to soften his voice to get through to folks. Brian admits he's loud and brash but that The Donald is the same way. John's convinced he'll never get the job if he doesn't change his ways.

"Ne Worth (again)"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 09:09 PM
Brian: "Kristen the problem that I have is that if we buy the beds at the price $2300 we're not going to have enough money"

Kristen (and other gals): "it's your fault...you stripped out a lot of stuff that wan't necessary

Kristen said she's going to take stuff back to the store because they don't have enough money.

Kristen says "f*&^ off" and everyone thinks you are s crappy leader. She takes off (she says she has a meeting)

Tara says she doesn't thnk they realize how insidious fighing is...it's not helping and they don't realize it (this one is a smart one people....listen to her)

Dumpster outside still

None ofthe rooms are done, they are scheduled to open and the rooms stink and they are all awful looking (says Carolyn) - "I don't think they're gonnado very well"

"Magna"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 09:12 PM
They kept the plastic on the box springs and mattreses when they put the sheets on. Carolyn smirked! Sat on the bed and said 'it's a little crunchy".

That sounds like an experienced group.

"Brian and George & Carolyn"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 09:12 PM
Are talking...

Brian is going on and on about how the team doesn't like him (hey genius...great way to get in good with the boss' right hand man by saying you suck)

George says it's not looking good...biggest detail overlooked is carpeting

Carolyn is at Magna and saying that they're putting the sheets on top of the plastic on the mattress. SHe says they're only hope is hospitality

Verna says it's all about customer service

Hanging out with customers...they got to know their guests and wanted everyone to be happy...no one was in their rooms because they were all out partying by the pool

would have thought they were all at a big reunion

Danny says "having a college degree is good...we have experience blowing off classes to party"

Verna: "I was not very happy...I have not gone this long without this much sleep" (ohhhh, boo-hoo!)

"Danny saves the day!"
Posted by Estee on 01-27-05 at 09:17 PM
That party atmosphere is going to look good on the ratings returns. Which probably means the end of his storyline. He went down, he came back up, he was fired.

Why is that guitar following him?

"Net Worth"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 09:20 PM
Brian and Kristen are fighting in the parking lot in front of guests. She continues kvetching in the van with the doors open. Shots of guests watching from the balcony. And why are they leaving to get food?

"Net Worth"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 09:20 PM
Tana is doing customer service desk (yikes...was this a good choice?)

They're handing out bags with complimentary stuff (toiletries, etc.) and have free breakfast

Kristen and Brian are arguing again

Audrey is telling them to quit acting like five year old children and there are people in the parking lot...Kristen is bitching where customers are able to hear her (whomever else is in the car is telling her to just be quiet - oh it's Angie...oh this is excellent Angie and Kirsten are having a shouting match in the car with the doors open...you guys are so freaking intelligent (see...shoulda listened to the smart one, Tara)

"For an unplanned departure"

They sure had a lot of nicely composed, locked down camera shots for Verna's walk off.

"RE: For an unplanned departure"
Posted by seahorse on 01-27-05 at 09:24 PM
I am sure they thought it was good for the storyline.

"Verna/Magna"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 09:23 PM
Verna "I havent' been taking care of my bosy..spent most of the night pacing, thinking..what am I doing...am I going to be able to make it through"

Bren is sleeping on the couch...Verna says she quits she's tired.

She was supposed to get the coffee and donuts scheduled.

Bren says he's not going ot try to get her back, he just needs to figure out a solution..he said someone must know what's going on with her and he asusmes it must be something between Michael and Verna and he's going ot talk to him ASAP

Bren said he thought for sure they would lose because of 'crappy service' - they weren't going to remember te night before when they were filling out the surveys

Verna whining about how she wanted to 'get out' and escape. Oh STFU and quityer bitchin

"RE: Verna/Magna"
Posted by tempo on 01-27-05 at 09:26 PM
Verna can't handle it. What a waste. She took the opportunity away from someone else. She seems to be the kind of person that's been coasting her whole life, getting phony accolades she doesn't deserve. How did this one slip past the psych team at final interviews?

"RE: Verna/Magna"
Posted by seahorse on 01-27-05 at 09:31 PM
Even if she comes back, she is doomed in future weeks.

"RE: Verna/Magna"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 09:26 PM
They made it look like Verna planned to walk all the way back to Manhattan. She only got as far as the Boardwalk. Maybe she can check with someone at Trump Casino and hitch a ride back...whoops, wrong boardwalk, right?

"Net Worth"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 09:28 PM
Tana "this morning I was waiting for my 14 guests to check out..some of them had complaints"

Guy said it was the worst stay ever...

Tana said she wanted them to have full bellies so that's the last thing they remember

"RE: Net Worth"
Posted by seahorse on 01-27-05 at 09:32 PM
That was a good idea.

"Net Worth"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 09:29 PM
Tana is making a point to call her guests by their names. Lots of smiles. Good idea. Even if they hated everything, she made a good impression.

"Verna/Carolyn"
Posted by PhoenixMons on 01-27-05 at 09:32 PM
Carolyn is following her (in her car)...she says she's worried about her...she doesn't look well...walking aimlessly

Erin complaining about Verna having the easier job out of all of them

Alex says notihing happened that excused her leaving - she screwed the team

Bren said she said a few times that Michael was out to get her...they all say no one was out to get her

Verna says thank you to Carolyn..."that was a lesson I needed to learn" - she says she needs a complete attitude/behavioral adjustment...she's volunteering herself to be fired

Danny said it took a lot for her to come back and say "look guys I screwed up"

isn't this a love fest

Oh wait no, Erin is bashing her (awwww..the princess is not happy...boo hoo) - she said she wants her to go home..."when the going got tough she blew it"

"RE: New site contest"

Let's see. Last week Kristen wore the pink fluffy bathmat, right? That must be the shower curtain. Although I don't care for their color scheme.

They are filing in to the board room of doom

DT comes in saying "see Danny the way I'm dressed"

DT: Verna, I hear you had a hard time. I hear you had a great comeback...nothing better than a comeback, congrats

Networth: hey those rooms are WAY nicer than Magna's

Magna: Dt says it doesn't look like Trump Tower to me

Networth: the paper in the morning was a nice touch, all emplyed are hospitable...but they are loud, the rooms disater: average score was 2.92 on a scale of 1 to 5 ( 1 low)

Magna: looking to stay and have fun this is the place for you, the room is what it is a Jersey shore room:
average score was 3.96

Reward: dinner (I think that's what he said) on a yacht with Steve Forbes

Magna's score was much better than Net Worth's. I think the party atmosphere is what did it for them.

After dinner, Kendra (?) - "I'm the only woman smoking a cigar". There's a joke in there, but this board is PG-13.

Brian said he deserved to be fired. Amazing.

"Boardroom"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 10:06 PM
I'm actually surprised DT continued the boardroom after that comment. After a comment like that from a PM, do you really need any justification from the other team members?

"RE: Apprentice 3 Episode #2 East Coast spoiler thread"
Posted by seahorse on 01-27-05 at 09:52 PM
Brian cursed big time in the boardroom. Carolyn told him to shut up.

"RE: Apprentice 3 Episode #2 East Coast spoiler thread"

Angie things Chris should be fired over Brian. She should have just kept quiet.

"You're Fired"
Posted by kathliam on 01-27-05 at 09:56 PM
No need for deliberation, no need to choose 2 to bring back to the boardroom. Brian, you're fired.

"RE: Apprentice 3 Episode #2 East Coast spoiler thread"
Posted by seahorse on 01-27-05 at 09:57 PM
What winners we had on this episode. Brian says he should be fired and he was, and Verna walked off the job. Luckily her team won and she has another week to hang on.
