Hello all!

Just had the preliminary audition with Jodi Rothfield Casting Associates, c.s.a. in Seattle, casting for Mark Burnett Productions. And man it was something! Not like the ones where a whole bunch of people are there, this was one on one. I guess since it's the preliminary, they're just selecting who they "think they want" on the show. Asked all kinds of questions about my business, life and if I thought I had the killer instint (or would I feel bad if I had to get mad at someone or could I be cut-throat). Shoot, I told her, had it been me in last show, I would have fired Ommarosa in a flash, and I know I'll be better than Tammy and last longer than Sam! So right now I wait for the call-back on the sixth to see if I was chosen. So wish me luck all...

...just the chance to meet Trump would be something.

But the meeting with Jodi went great and she said one thing that was neat, "In all honesty, I've never met ANYONE like you!" Now whether that was good or bad, I don't know, but we'll see. It felt really good talking to her and she's from Seattle too!

So wish me the best, and we'll see what happens on the 6th.

Bobby

Just wondering if anyone is here from Seattle, who also tried out at the Dexter location?

I thought Trump already said he was not going to do Apprentice III. I think its 50-50 there will even be an A-III. I am sure the producers will wait to see the ratings for the first couple of weeks of A-II before making the decision.

Nope, Trump only committed to A2 when A2 and A3 were first announced, but a few weeks later signed on for A3. He hasn't committed to an Apprentice 4 yet though... although he's already blabbing about filming it at his new golf course in LA

Wrong again. The show will have a Fall '04 and Spring '05 season. Filming begins in October -- only weeks after A2 begins (and before Burnett films Survivor 10 in Nov/Dec.) Both A2 and A3 are already on the books and a huge part of NBC's new "Friends"-less Must See TV Thursday night strategy. The decision was made back in May. A better question whould be whether "Joey" will still be on the air when "Apprentice 3" premieres in January

Good luck, WritePro.

If TA III actually does comes off and you actually become a contestant, you will have learn a lot from the experience, and will have a lot of fun/excitment (not necessary the same thing...) with it.

Please keep in mind that many, many, many apply and only a handful are chosen, so if you don't make it to the show, it's only a matter of luck, and ah, well, you can have a happy life without it anyway

I have a happy life anyway! But I'm wondering about the next step. Should I, since I've already had the first interview, submit the application (that I found on their site - http://www.nbc.com/nbc/The_Apprentice/open_calls.shtml) for the open casting call in the (Seattle's) University District on the seventh?

Jodi said she'd be contacting those who were accpeted, so I'm thinking, will they call you back and then you go to the "open call," which will really be a "planned" open call with all the contestents already selected?

She did say it was all a game, and "we know it's television."

Any opinions?

Bobby

It's the 7th and no word on whether or not you made it. HELLO!

Your description of the intereview process does not fit with NBC published casting call process. They will not be contacting anyone regarding the semi-final call backs until this week at the earlies (Aug. 9th). The Aug. 8th should of been the last set of 1on1 interviews (in the last remaining three cities).
I have to ask. Did it cost you anything to interview with this Jodi person?
The main casting director for Burnett productions name is Rob. If you did not attend the open casting call and participate in the group interviews, then get tapped to come back later for a 1on1 taped interview with a few casting directors you chances may not look good.
The top 40 or so potential candidates should all know by the end of next week.

I just had an audition in Cincinnati for the apprentice 3 and it is much the opposite from what you are telling us, they took us in groups of 10 and had us debate a topic, looking for the most outspoken and confident person to shine in this 10 min long debate with 10 other hopefuls, hope i made it, but if not, no big deal, the people i got to network with in line was well worth it.

I had a friend who just had his 3rd call back from those auditions & he was told "they never met anyone like him". I guess they throw that phrase around a lot

Have you heard back yet?

I just think it's cute that you are named WritePro but you still had to edit your post twice.
