"Cast of Characters"

Breakdown of the guys. As there are so many, I've grouped them in 4s. Please feel free to agree/disagree/bash/praise, but lets discuss.
I'll group by Thinkers, Drinkers, Connections and Eliminations

Special mention:
Models (new category in case there are more later)
#17 Mike - the model-type that got out of the limo first. Mel "Mike, I wish you could stay". Will we see him again?

Marc - uh, hon, if you suspect a "napoleon complex", ya probably got one. Seems sweet, but the neurotic type that can easily get on nerves, as some guys were noticing. Mel on first site "Somebody's messing with my head". We'll just call him Napoleon. Looking for a Josephine no doubt.

Brad - a thinner, younger version of Rick Rockwell from "who wants to marry a millionaire?" But not psychotic and a pleasant personality so far. I give him points for tapping and asking Mel about her dancing. But that's probably only a plus for me and Mel. Brad "Geeks can get the woman". Any woman?

Jay - the self-proclaimed George Castanza lookalike. I don't know if he's a thinker or drinker. He seems to hang with both. He gave Mel a magic 8 ball - she'll need it! But I like some of his commentary. AND I LOVE his pride about being a "good human being who cares about people". You are a 9 and three-quarters on the inside, honey!!!!

Dennis - this guy is an EXACT CLONE of someone I know. Therefore I proceed with extreme predjudice. Except everyone thinks Dennis is the nicest guy, so I'll give him that for now.
D "I am generally perceived on the outside as a geek, nerd, outcast, someone that can't amount to much physically. I can't overcome that stigma." Are these things not true in your mind? Can you amout to much physically?
Dennis, honey, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, talks like a duck - its a duck. You are a duck. That's ok. Don't view it as a stigma - embrace it. Since you apparently aren't willing to do anything to change that. You are a nerd on the inside too. Other nerd indicators about you:
1. Hygiene & grooming
2. Your voice and the things you say
3. The Hula Hoops
4. Mannerisms
5. Naivety, poor Judgment, un-savvy
You have a whole bunch of great traits too.
1. Kind, well-liked
2. Neat, tidy, does laundry
3. Loyal and helps out others
4. Intelligence and good-naturedness
- good women appreciate these. Just find one thats not a beauty queen, mkay? Plus, he wants to get the girl (more on that topic later).

Adam - the poor woman's Keith from PHotel.

Jerry - they didn't show much. He's from NY, and he dubbed the show "Revenge of the Nerds". Is he Booger or Ogre? just curious.

Craig -

Joe -

I thought there were 2 joes (missed craig), so I have to go back and watch again to get their quotes correct.

It's hard for me to judge exactly who fits into this category because the editing of the show was so choppy. However, these are the guys I think fit the bill:

Zach - I don't know if he was drinking heavily but he should use that as an excuse for his total high school mentality behavior with that egg cracking bit. I could have sworn during the party that I heard Melana say, "okay, so you're the jerk." There was no context for the comment but I'd like to fill in the blanks to believe she's figured him out already. Purely aesthetically, he's not bad but his personality makes him way less attractive than a lot of the others.

Joe - Seems nice enough. At one point he was drinking some sort of hard alcohol straight out of the gallon jug. Woah buddy, slow down! Alcohol has lots o' calories.

Craig - He lists his strength AND weakness as "I party like a rock star." Hmm, shame he carry himself like one. He's so visibly self-conscious about his size. Self-confidence is a big part of personality perception. He doesn't look comfortable with who he is, how is she supposed to be.

Adam/Jerry - Not much to say about them. Didn't see them featured enough. DO they really fit into the "drinker" category?

These are also my predictions for the "4 guys" she's considering:
John - the cutie "production asst". Mel gave a big smile when he got off the bus. I adore him (so far). He was nervous about meeting her, very nice. Next time, he: tells Zack that he "didn't like him from Day 1" so he's a good judge of character, he plays guitar and sings to Mel and even gets a little kiss.

Tareq - a younger M. Night Shamalan (writer/director of Sixth Sense) but a PhD-to-be and prof (probably teacher's asst!). He is very polite and laid-back. He was strange to ask about Broccoli on a first date, but I'm with him on the greens thing. I DID like his "I approach women as i do a snowflake - every one is different and I treat them delicately and with care." Aawwwwwwwww. Mel on his brains "This guy needs to rub off on me". But Clint said it best, "I respect you dude cause you are Weird". Quiet and creepy. But cute, very cute. Next time, a kiss? (Agree with Schnookie "too full of himself").

David - 24yrold bouncer. Mel "you have beautiful eyes", David to Mel "you have beautiful other things too". I Think he is adorable! Hope she did too.

Zack - what can I say? He is a ZACK. He thinks he's too good to be on the show. NEWS ALERT! Dude - you ARE ugly. And mean. And a bully. And a drinker. Someone had to fit that prerequisite stereotype. I too, am disgusted that she will kiss him next time. One of the guys commented that Zack wants to leave, so apparently he's an OSTEN Too!

First of all, good job on putting this together Angelfood. I can't even put faces to the all of the names yet.

I think Zach should have a category all to himself:

STINKERS!!!

Tareq is pretty good looking, but he's just too full of himself.
It'll be interesting to see if Mel was turned off from him right at the start because of his brocolli question.

I thought it was really cute how John was soooo nervous and stuttering when he first met her when they got off the bus. He really is a good guy. (I worked with him for several months.) Glad to hear you adore him. Hopefully he will keep being himself.

But as for Tareq, I think he should be in a category all his own. He is a little odd and I agree with some of what I have read-- he is full of himself. "Oh, look at me, I am 21 and I have a PhD. I will beat all of you to Melena's hearts with my conversations about snowflakes and vegetables."

I think Tareq is hilarious. It seems like he has a really dry, odd sense of humor, where you can't tell if he's being funny or serious. The broccoli exchange had me crying tears of laughter.

And John is a cutie! He's my favorite so far- seems like a really good guy.

Sentence first. Verdict afterwards.

Edited becuase I can't spell broccoli.

Seems like she chose the quiet ones.

Dennis S - the chiropractor. He didn't bother to get alone time with her.

Wally - looks just like Daniel Stern from "city slickers"

Eric - the cop who never dated in high school cause he wouldn't chase anybody. Eric on going home "not gonna be me". Eric to Mel "Your loss", and then "I'm gonna watch at home on tv and then laugh at who she eventually ends up with."

Clint - the young white house asst. guy.
