"Broke every rule she had going in." Hmm.... Did they shoo away the cameramen? A night that needs no subtitles? What do you think?

You can obviously tell that this girl will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. I just hope Evan doesn't get himself sucked into her deceiving web... No offense spidey.

How did I know this thread would be here?

She did.

This was a perfect DeBeers moment. Two ways to get a diamond. Zorra's way and Sarah's way.

You are right on with that one, yellow. I just hope Evan realizes that when he makes his final choice. I mean were can Sarah go from here, whats left? Making a home video?

Or you could just really whore yourself out like Smil-essa and still get sent packing...LOL

Don't worry Smil-essa, I'm sure that on the way home the producers will detour through some third world countries so you can wash some babies, you little mercenary you!

When Evan commented about Sarah wanting to see "the moon", I said to Mr. Bebo, "I don't think he realizes which moon she was talking about."

And what about our little "mercenary"? Could she have been more slutty in throwing herself at Evan?

Yeah, I didn't mind Sarah so much since I knew she'd get it on with Evan, but could Melissa have been any more pathetic? Talk about THROWING herself at him! And it looked so mechanically contrived. At least when Sarah does it, her years of film training have made her a natural.

Yeah, well, she probably handled it with style thinking the guy's got $50 million... if she knew he was a bum and there weren't a camera on them, she'd probably just throw a drink on him and walk away.

But, boy, could this guy be any more obsessed with the mammaries?

As the wife of a breast man, I can tell you that he slipped up while we were dating, and I thought it was hilarious. It doesn't take $50 mil to forgive a comment like that, it just takes interest in the guy.

Besides, his slip let her know he thought she was sexy. Given her self-consciousness about her body (she didn't want to wear a bathing suit in front of him, although I think she's lovely), she could have been flattered to have a man look at her that way.

A woman would much rather have her date thinks she's sexy than to think of her as, oh, a little sister.

(YodaGrammar) Absolutely true what Bebo says. (/YodaGrammar)

While ogling is not a good thing, in general women like it when a guy is appreciatively looking them over. Why else do they dress up to show cleavage, or some leg, etc. and put on lipstick, and wear jewelry in strategic locations, etc... (I hope my point is not getting sidetracked here... )

Yep, both Sarah and Melissa put out. (oooh, such crude terminology! )

Melissa seemed to know that she was on the losing end of things and really threw herself at Evan. In spite of my enjoyment of watching these things, that was pretty darn sad to watch at that moment.

And Sarah is so full of $#!+ that it's funny because it's not even funny, ifyouknowwhatImean. After she got her diamond, she had that look like "I got mine, you sluts! Die like the dogs you are!"

I just love this show. Hilarious!

I agree...both Sarah and Smilessa put out....but how bad was old Smiley at seducing Evan....I mean she kept showing more and more cleavage....hiking up her dress to show leg and a little butt too..then the "I'll make this easy for you"! LOL

So she does the horizontal mambo with Evan....AND then gets kicked to the curb....mmmmmmwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....this is hysterical!

Yeah I had to laugh when Evan made the raviolli comment about the gnocci.....I kept waiting for him to ask the waiter to send his compliments to Chef Boyardee...ROFLMAO!

What about Zora'S creepy dream that Evan was 2 different people...that was kinda freaky wasn't it?

She's known the guy for at least 2 weeks now, and they get along just fine. Enough acquaintance to get horizontal, IMO. Of course, maybe I'm easy...

Poor Melissa. It was so funny/pathetic when she made her big play for Evan. Couldn't keep her hands off his thighs. I kept wondering if Fox was going to break new ground again when she "accidently" brushed his crotch.

And I'm still laughing at the ground-breaking, sub-titled BJ in the bushes last week!

I guess blondes do nave more fun.

Yeah when they were laying on the couch and she "accidentally" (yeah right) brushed his crotch....I was waiting for her to either just grab him and go for it or for her to just grab his hand and shove down her dress that was already about to fall off....did you catch the camera man getting a glimpse of her white panties or slip or something?

So if you are keeping score, this now makes Smile-essa

a money grubbing, chain smoking, no grape picking, no cooking, can't tell onions from garlic, baby washing mercenary, cleavage showing, white panty wearing, mattress dancing, smiling her silly ass of all the time DAW!!

"The educational value of Joe Millionaire"
Posted by Bebo on 02-04-03 at 12:03 PM
I hope all of the young women watching last night's episode understood the important moral message presented. Just because you have sex with a man does not mean he will continue to date you. It does not even mean that you are guaranteed a piece of nice jewelry.

Fox could have just made a significant moral statement for young women, empowering them to JUST.SAY.NO. Don't make the same mistake Melissa did.

Can we retitle this episode "A Very Special Joe Millionaire"?

I can't believe I wrote all of that garbage down without barfing!

Posted by SurvivorOverlord on 02-04-03 at 12:13 PM
Yeah and we could do it just like all those sitcoms do when they have a "message episode" about drugs or something.

At the end of the show, Evan comes out and sits on the edge of a table and says "In tonights show, we had a young girl that was willing to do anything to get another date and a diamond pendant. But what most girls don't realize is that most men, including me, will go ahead a play a few quick rounds of "hide the salami" with you, whether they intend on giving you a diamond pendant or even asking you for another date. So all you girls out there just remember...get the jewelry...then do the humpty hump.....good night and Thanks for watching..(FADE TO BLACK)

ROFLMAO!!!

I must say that I am a little perturbed the way the show handled this and the way this thread is going. Although it may have appeared that both Sarah and Melissa had sleepovers it doesn't mean that they did. This is Fox, is it totally out of the question that they edited it to appear that way? The editing from the first show on has shown Zora to be the one to cheer for and all others to be the ones to cheer against. Perhaps by making the other two seem easy it would help make Zora look even better.

Also, I sense a little bit of the Elimidate thing happening where the women are simply being competitive. If you have ever watched that show (I try not) you will see 4 women/men fighting over 1 man/woman who doesn't even deserve it! It is simply the competitive nature and not wanting to lose on TV. Perhaps this is why it appears that the women are throwing themselves at him.

Finally, I am sensing some sexism in regards to sex while dating. These women have spent some significant time with him and so the fact that they have chosen to spend the night (if they have indeed done that) is not that far out in regards to the dating world. I think calling Sarah or Melissa "easy" is a little unfair. Easy is meeting a girl at the bar and being back at your place in 30 minutes.

That's a very good point Bucky and I'm glad you weighed in here. As my DH and I were watching it last night, we were speculating as to whether or not Evan slept with any of them. Although he seems the type that would jump at the chance to get some, and the girls seemed rather willing (due to competitiveness more than actual feelings for the guy), I hope that HE would put a stop to it if only because he feels guilty.

You're right that FOX wants us to think that something happened and we are falling into that trap.

At the same time, falling into that trap is fun. As long as Melissa or Sara doesn't find this site, it's also pretty innocent fun to bash the contestants on the show.

"Legal opinions?"
Posted by dajaki on 02-04-03 at 04:23 PM
I'm wondering if Evan is allowed to sleep with any of the women while he is perpetrating this hoax. I know the women signed a $5 million confidentiality agreement which probably included a clause about not being able to sue the show. But would any criminal charges exist (rape) if a woman slept with Evan while under the influence of the deception (I can't think of another way to describe the situation), and then, after finding out about the deception, cries foul because she wouldn't have slept with him otherwise? Is Evan, or are the producers, criminally liable if he misrepresents himself for the purpose of getting laid?

Just studied this. There is a difference between "Fraud in the Factum, which means the victim didn't know the nature of the act, ie. OB-GYN saying he is using a scapula, but is using himself and "Fraud in the Inducement," where Sarah, er- victim knows the nature of the act but was merely induced due to fraud. Fraud in the Factum can be rape, but not if it is just fraudulent inducement. It makes a lot of sense really. Who of us hasn't puffed our "stats" a bit to entice a potential mate? The legal ramifications are mind-boggling otherwise.

*Disclaimer: This is not legal advice, nor do I condone frauding your way into the sack!*

Unfortunately, you would have to have a contract and of course contracts for sex are illegal, as they are essentially prostitution.

But you COULD tell everyone you knew how horrible he is. Let him just TRY to sue you for defamation - he would have to prove it is false!

>Finally, I am sensing some sexism in regards to sex while dating.

I read a lot of comments about the "sleaziness" of the women if they did "do the dirty deed" but not much about Evan.

He knows he is lying to them. He knows he is playing on romantic fantasies (with FOX's money). And he knows he is supposed to pick only one at the end. He makes this big speech to the producer--complete with special effects--about never lying to get a women into bed before (what he's still a virgin or something?). If he had sex with either one much less both of them I think he can lay claim to a pretty hefty dose of sleaze himself.

Of course that is assuming he has the brain capacity to think through the consequences of his own actions, highly debatable or he wouldn't have done this show in the first place.

Some of us have just gotten tired of dwelling on his numerous flaws. I can assure you, my opinion of him has been quite low weel before this, but you're right that he deserves to be considered sleaze for his role in this as well.

Oh c'mon, we all know that if a woman sleeps around she is considered a slut (or a whore) and looked down upon, whereas if a man sleeps around he is considered to be a stud and is looked up to by others.

Not saying that it's right, just saying that it is.

You are right about one thing Bucky.....they have known him long enough to decide whether they want to have a sleepover with him or not. I just think it was blatant the way that Melissa threw herself at his feet! One of the little interview segments they showed with her, she said that she was going to have to do something pretty quick because she didn't want to be the "little sister type".

She managed to do that alright....I guess my whole point is, that I don't think it was whether any of them have known Evan long enough to sleep with him, it was just the way that she went about it.

LAST EDITED ON 02-04-03 AT 04:15 PM (EST)

I agree, Overlord. Length of time has nothing to do with it, IMO. I think the problem I have is that these girls knew they were on a TV show. They knew that millions would be watching what they did. If they had had sex with him because they wanted an itch scratched, I have no problem. However, if they had sex with him, it was to stay in the game. They wanted to make sure they made it to the next round, and one step closer to being exclusive with a guy they think is worth 50 mil.

Hey, sleeping with a guy you've only known a few weeks is OK, but could you seriously do it in front of national TV, knowing your friends and family would be watching? Also, what about the fact that he's possibly boinking 2 other woman at the same time? That would really bother me. If you want sex, fine. But try to be a little discreet about it. Also, I'd rather see these woman have a little more self dignity than to think they have to sleep with a man to make him like her.

Not that Evan deserves any of them. When Melissa told him he seemed like he didn't have a lot on his mind, she hit the nail on the head! I think the drool on his chin showed us all exactly what he had on mind.LOL The man acts like he's never seen breasts before. Geeeez! What rock did they find him under?

L8,

you said much more eloquently exactly what I was thinking....the legnth of time they knew him had nothing to do with it....Hell I know a couple that met one night felt an amazing spark between them ended up rolling in the hay the very first night, got married a month later, and this past may they celebrated thier 10 anniversary(no it's not me...but a close friend)! When they tell this story nobody thinks there were easy or sleezy...because they fell in love at first site!

These girls are doing it to get closer to what they think is a 50 million dollar payday! And just like L82LIFE said....none of the three of them know whether he is doing the mattress mambo with just them, or ALL of them!

That is what made what Smil-essa and Sarah may have(all put that in there because we all know how these shows can be edited)done with Evan become sleezy and cheap.

I agree with you, L8. It's not the fact the any of the girls sleep with him, it's the fact that they go ahead and do it when he is sleeping with (possibly) 2 other women at the same time. And, these aren't just random women who they will never see, they are women that are all living in the same house.

I think both Sarah and Melissa "did" Evan, but only because they want that $50 million. I thought I'd put this information on this thread since it's about "doing" or "not doing".

I got a call last night from a friend who lives in LA and just last week had an audition at the Fox Studios. He was trying to find where his audition was to be held and found himself asking directions from someone driving a golf cart around. The golf cart driver said he didn't know where it was but for my friend to "hop in" and they'd find it together. The golf cart driver was none other than our little dork Evan. Now, my friend has worked for lots of studios, done a few flicks and is friends with a couple of the Nsync boys. He's very "Hollywood blunt" shall we say. So he and Evan are driving around looking for the right studio and making small talk when my friend looks Evan straight in the eye and asks "So...did that chick blow you in the woods or what?". (I'm used to this from my friend but even THAT forward of a question took me be suprise!) Evan looked at my friend for a moment said "Nah..." then leaned over and in a conspiratory whisper said "but she sure did touch it!"

I was rolling by the time he was done telling me this! Leave it to my friend to cut right to the chase and get a straight forward answer!
