C'mon! I wasn't the only one to watch this tonight, was I?

Megan is this season's Brandi C.

Frenchie (Angelique) is this season's ... (the one who kept saying "don't threaten me with a good time - whatever her name was).

Daisy reminds me of Sam, sort of.

I was shocked to see that one of the women was 45. I wouldn't have thought they would cast anyone older than mid-20's. I wouldn't have thought she was 45, either. Think her name was Catherine?

Wasn't Megan on Beauty and the Geek, the one paired up with Scooter and who won? Also, wasn't she the one who was either married or engaged after the show? So much for the "change".

These woman fawning over this guy is about as ridiculous as the woman tripping over themselves and knocking out others to get to Flav. Gross!

I am stunned by how, well, UGLY so many are. I don't just mean skanky. Surely there are girls that are pretty as well as surgically enhanced AND skanky who would have been willing to be filmed in a maynshun with a rock star. But for Brett and VH1's money, the casting directors came up with at least three men there, and a whole lotta other girls who are Beyond The Valley Of The Trailer Trash.

I think a girl in her 20s on this show should at least be as sexy as I, Ginger, a 45 year old woman who has had no surgery and thinks hitting control+alt+delete is exercise. These woman wouldn't make in hard core PORN.

Frankly, they make last season's Helen look like a fresh young virgin and poor sad Rodeo like Sophia Loren.

Which doesn't mean it ain't good fun, still.

Still have weird little crush on Big John.

Really Ginger

I trust your opinion more than anyone on these boards, but I haven't been able to even sample this.

These dating shows have jumped the shark for me. Both Flavas of Love were decent, loved Rock of Love 1, but if Brett wanted someone, he'd have gone with Heather. The formula is too much for me now.

I blame it on Tila Tequila, where I am ashamed to admit I somehow got suckered into thinking there were real feelings involved, and look how that's all turned out. So I'm kind of off this genre.

Did you watch the finale of Skank of Love 1? Where Jez pretty much told Brett the whole thing was a sham and a mindfvck?

I have no idea why I watch this crap. Seriously. It's like Real Housewives of Orange County. Makes "Survivor" look like "Masterpiece Theater."

"RE: Rock of Love 2"

Oh yeah, I watched it.

Jes was totally too good for Brett, and he really wouldv'e picked Heather if he wanted "Love." Just like Flava wouldv'e gone with New York, frightening tranny that she is.

And now she's getting married on TV. Maybe going too far.

Having for some strange reason known only to self-torture performance artists watched the first two episodes, I have learned a lot about Bret. For example, I have learned that he's diabetic. I did not know that. I think it should come as a comfort and object lesson to all children with diabetes that with proper care and regular testing, they too can grow up to be a Class One Horndog.

"RE: Rock of Love 2"

ROFL! I never noticed the link between diabetes and libido!

This show is just yet another guilty pleasure in the Flav/NY/Bret Train Wreck o' Lvoe.

Some of the things I'm enjoying are:

The subtitles on Angelique's (aka Tongue Skank) dialogue have been written with built-in French dialect. "Let's zee if I can remomber ze way they write eet..." Heh.

She's part of Bret's "United Nations", which proves that Bret's an ambassador to sluts from other countries.

Like, OMG! Those girls are totally copying us! Only we have the right to sit like puppy ho-bags waiting for our master Bret to arrive home! Poor normal girls like Kori haven't got a chance to humiliate themselves in front of millions. ;)

I should be ashamed of myself for watching. But I'm not.

are we saying he has limits, too? WHAT??

i also think these girls are not very "pretty"...they seem so hard and used if you know what i mean...not sweet at all. hmm

and i can't stand amber for some reason...she is so force when talking to bret...making herself want to like him.

i sure hope they get paid enough.

With Peyton gone, the last relatively stable human being has left the mansion. The be-yotch flag is now flying and will be for the remainder of the season.

This is good...up until now I've had a hard time deciding which girl I hate most. Having the stable ones gone should shake out the biggest wench pretty quickly.

ETA: I forgot to add my Kristy Jo rant. Yes, she's gorgeous. But yeeeeegawd! She's THAT girl. You know, the one that can't live without chaos in her life. The one that says drama finds her, not that she finds drama. Uh huh, right.

Just how old do we think Peyton is? I think they cast her to be Rodeo, but she just wasn't that crazy. Problem is, while she and Katherine were no doubt in Bret's chronological age group, you have to wonder about women who have reached that level of maturity and are interested in a guy who hasn't grown up yet, and in chasing him on TV. Where is the self esteem they should have garnered by now?

The Ukrainian love tank has been lost to a Kristy Jo hand grenade thrown into the treads.

I'm so excited for next week. There is no classier reason to get a divorce other than "I think I'm like totally connecting with Bret. If we didn't connect, I'd probably stay married to you, but since we did, yeah, I guess we should get divorced." And of course, no classier way to do this than on a reality tv show.

Wait...did I just try to use the words "Classy" and "Rock of Love" in the same thought? *smacks self*

(semi-)Realistically, at this point, what would Kristy Jo have to do in order to not make Final Two? Arson?

"RE: 11:00 a.m. spoiler post."
Posted by fedcamper on 03-05-08 at 04:02 AM
Arson would help. Then Bret could chastise her, give her moral guidance, forgive her, have a gross make-out session with her, and then keep her at elimination, much to the outrage and indignation of Megan or Ambre or one of those other self-delusionals who think they have a chance.

What an episode. At least I discovered Ambre's age...I was undecided if she was an old looking twenty-something or a young looking 40 year old. Alas, she's in the middle. Now, I just wish she'd do something about that dark hair underneath.

If I were Megan (sp?), I'd have just left. She doesn't seem to be overly into Brett, so why stick around, knowing he doesn't care if you are there?

Kristy Jo, Kristy Jo. What a nut job. I'm glad she chose to leave. I couldn't take her any longer.

If I were any of them I would have left. Brett's little pity party at the end would have done me in. Daisy better start bringing out some baggage and flaunting it in Brett's face, seems he's more interested in baggage than bazoom's!

I was surprised that Kristy Jo volunteered to leave. I was sure the DAW in her wouldn't allow it.

"RE: And we're back...March 16th"

Kristy Jo is an emotional mess and not just cuz she's breaking up with her second husband. She's playing the sniffle card to the hilt, as I'm sure she does off camera, and Brett is falling for it. I don't know where they got this season's girls, but they don't seem as interesting as Brandi, Heather, Jess and the gang. Megan sure isn't that into Brett, but heck, she'll get a little more TV time, maybe someone will "discover" her. I just hope they put her on a station I don't subscribe to.

Let's see, what options are left? Megan, Amber, Daisy....I guess the rest of them are just not that memorable. Who's the brunette? Not Krisy Jo, the other one. See? I can't even remember her name. Brunette #2?

Daisy has the brain of a 6 year old, no matter how sexy she is in Brett's crotch mind. He's not thrilled with Megan. Amber is pretty level headed and Brunette #2 hasn't done anything too ridiculous yet. I'm betting on Amber or Brunette #2. There may be others that haven't left yet, but I'm sticking with these two.

Well since Heather's going to Vegas with them next week, does anyone else think maybe he'll kick one of the old girls off and keep her instead? I don't see him with any of the remaining girls, though Daisy pulled out some baggage, so she may have a chance. Amber is waaaaaay too normal for him. Jessica and Destiny are just too young.

"RE: Megan was so depressed --"
Posted by Dakota on 03-25-08 at 04:20 PM
Megan was dumbfounded; emphasis on dumb. Don't know if Estee was serious about BB? She was probably dying while watching the show, seeing everyone thinking she's lost her mind standing there shaking her head. "No, Bret, she must have me confused with someone else." Her attack on Bret seemed more like 'that bastird ex of mine, I'll show him.' I think Destiny is most suited for Bret, but he has doubts about her wanting him, not just ANY rocker. Jessica would work, although she's young and might come to her senses, like Jes did. Amber is just shy of soccer mom status it seems to me. Yep. Go with Heather. I was soooo disappointed that she's gone back to her trashy attire and behavior, after seeing her looking and acting all classy at the reunion show. But boy did she know how to get those girls talking.

Daisy has MORE stuff she needs to tell Bret? LOL This should be good. I thought it was odd that Daisy's roomie didn't tell Bret they lived together. Either he's a decent guy who didn't want to screw it up for her, or they've got some scam going, working it together, maybe for the benefit of them both? What do you think? Remind me of an old Miami Vice episode.

Wow. Megan. Wow.

I can't choose-she's either a pretty good actress or she was actually in shock that she was chosen over a girl who reeked of vomit. I have to say, given her frankness about wanting to be the girlfriend of the total tool who was invited back as her "ex" and the fact that he would not leave someone for her, she grew on me a little.

"RE: Rock of Love 2"
Posted by Dakota on 03-31-08 at 07:00 PM
So bad no one wants to talk about it. Or you couldn't even bring yourself to watch it?

No summary here, but Jessica was sent home and we now know that Bret likes psychopathic, emotionally messed up women. He loved Sam last season and the more she cried, the more he loved it. Rodeo, a total mess, was one of his favs. He latches on to Jess, who seems pretty normal, except for the fact she was on the show, and she jilts him. Enter Season 2: Katie Jo is hanging on to her ex in case things don't work out with Bret, is on her 3rd divorce, and might be past the 2nd restraining order and Bret loves her. She leaves, realizing that she's got stuff to deal with. (ya think?) Now Daisy is front and center. She's got more stuff coming down the pike, a pregnancy, a go-round with a member of Poison, and who knows what else besides living in a 1 bedroom with her ex-boyfriend because in the 2 years since they broke up, he hasn't been able to get a job and his own apartment. Heather warns him off but he says he's falling in love and sends Jessica home.

This guy does not need a girlfriend. He needs a shrink.

I'm disgusted.

*sits with Dakota on the disgusted couch*

Bret keeps saying he's looking for love, yet the majority of the cast is groupies, and he keeps whomever has the most baggage. Right. That's the way to find love.

I thought he treated the girls like groupies during the fight between Destiny & Daisy. Instead of handling it himself, or just walking away, he called Big John over to straighten them out. Pretty much the way I think groupies who got out of hand backstage or on the bus would be handled.

I have to admit that Rock of Love is my guilty TV show. Not that I really care who Bret chooses - I call it my "soap opera". However, I have very strong negative feelings about Daisy. What is her deal? We now know she is a stripper that been friends with one of Bret's bandmates and has lived with her ex for two years (and you know that there are more skeletons in her closet to come). Sorry but I have never heard of a lease that lasts that long. And the fact that she was friends with CC (or whatever his name is) makes me wonder if her and Bret's paths have crossed at any point before this show? Also, did she mention that her "band" opened for Poison once? My mind may be making that one up, but I thought she said something to that effect. Thoughts?

I thought Bret was really sweet too. I almost thought his tears at the 'goodby' were partly because of Tommy, he seemed to genuinly care for the guy.

Destiny wasn't always my fave, but she finished strong with the a)smart move to modify the tatt
b) realistic view of what 'love' is....

Amber makes me sad...37 and 'falling in love' while watching her object of desire tongue a dozen other girls....the girl ain't right...

Daisy's perfect for him, she's like Pam Anderson's lil sister...

Guess that site got it wrong. Unless there's another surprise coming like Rock of Love 1.

I'm glad he went with Amber. I was saying duriing the whole 90 minutes (trying to tell him telepathically, even though he already made his choice a couple of months ago) that Daisy wanted him to rescue her. She's stuck in her situation and while I don't doubt her feeling for Bret, I think she is looking for a way out and sees him as her ticket. That's part of the appeal for her IMHO. She's very young, very immature and not exactly the brightest crayon in the box. When Bret asked her about where she was in life, her response was incoherent. She couldn't even express herself, something we've seen many times. Seems to me Bret could look past just about anything except Daisy's not being straight with him. I was glad he said he felt she might need him more than she wants him. Amber, on the other hand, is not emotionally needy, has her act together and hopefully the two of them will walk off into the sunset and live happily ever.......well, for awhile at least.

I don't have to be disgusted with him and the show anymore.

Good point. But at least Bret didn't pick the emotional train wreck. Of course, we were happy last season when he went with Jess and that didn't work out well. The show is a tad sleazy (checks sleaz-o-meter). Uh, more than a tad. I suppose a fight at the reunion show is one way to out-do the last fiasco.

I didn't like how classy Heather went for the reunion show but went right back to her hardcase hooker persona for the show. Should be interesting to see what Daisy's been up to since the show finished taping. Wonder if the lease is up. Bwaaahahahahaha

The relationship with Daisy had a 0% chance of making it. At least Ambre & Bret have a (*does calculations Ziggy style for Quantum Leap fans*) 40% chance of lasting one year.

Who else things a 44 year old Bret might just need to start taming his "rocker" ways he keeps talking about? If he really wants love, he might want to not make out with groupies anymore.

"What Brett Really Said to Daisy"
Posted by Dakota on 04-14-08 at 06:50 PM
OMH, I went to the VH1 site and checked out the After Show videos. When Brett was dumping Daisy, he said he didn't mind the things he didn't know, but realized that she had been hanging with a member of his band, hung out with the backup band, even flew out to see a member of his band and never once did she step up and introduce herself. He said they may have been a few feet from each other on more than one occasion and she never said a word.

Doesn't VH1 have a history of these happening to the houses they use for their shows?

Not surprising. What surprises me is that they don't just figure half a mil into the cost of production because they know the house is going to be damaged with cameras and booms and skanks and way too much alcohol. It's the rock n roll lifestyle ya know. This article says they finished filming in early December! Hard to believe Bret and Ambre have had no contact in all that time. I flipped over to VH1 when the replay was ending and it is Heather that Daisy fights with at the reunion show. I also wonder how much it cost to clean up or repair the hotel rooms in Vegas. I remember at least one glass being thrown--Heather at Daisy.

I think I can't miss tuning in for the smackdown on the reunion show next week! Was the color off on my TV, or did I see green hair extensions. Yikes!

On the replay, I saw Heather hitting Daisy on the head. That's all I know for sure. I'll have to tune into the last 3 minutes of one of the 237 times they replay it this week to see what else is happening.

I am a FAR cry from a bleeding heart and I was NEVER a Daisy fan but it bothers me that Heather physically assaults Daisy. Daisy's so little! I don't know. It just seems wrong that Heather, who looks to be a big girl, hits Daisy in the head. It really, really upsets me.

According to the previews for next week on tonight's Don't Forget the Lyrics, Brett will be on next week, and one of the songs he's gonna have to potentially put up with is a Barry Manilow song........

anyone else think that at the end of the reunion, they'll announce they're casting for "Rock of Love 3"???

I tuned in to the early showing of the reunion show, but only caught the last 10 minutes. Bret and Ambre seem very happy and she said he was in town at a concert and they snuck in a little hunk-o-hunk-burning love. So I guess we'll have to wait for Rock of Love 3. Jess was also from Chicago, so now Bret knows he likes those midwestern girls, even those who grew up in the south. So if there is a Rock of Love 3, they should get the women from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa.

Gotta wonder if there's another rocker out there looking for lvoe who will pick up where Brett left off. Until Brett is ready for another go-round.

Having said all that, I didn't see the fist fight. So I guess I'll have to watch tonight and maybe 3 more times during the week. I still can't believe how hooked I am on this show. Me, the one who doesn't like Bachelor, Beauty and the Geek, and all those other Looooooove shows. Flavor Flav, IMO, should be nuked. Not the guy, the show.

Destiny's highlight made me cry.....again.

The fight looked like something off of Jerry Springer, and unless there's a lawsuit I still say totally staged.

Kristy Jo and husband trying to go to a counselor and work out their marriage. Maybe that should be a show.

Bret and Ambre were cute together.

I again went to VH1 to see the extras. Heather is talking about having to call out anyone (Daisy) who claims they've got their act together, changed their life. Kristy Jo says that Bret promised there would be no physical altercations. Translation: It was staged, but I don't know if Daisy was in on it. Looked like Heather was there to provoke her. Since the provocation was mostly about her being nothing but a sex puppet, I loved Brett's comment to John off stage later that he wanted to @#$% Daisy but now she won't be in the mood.

This makes me think the guy did use her. Kept her around knowing he wouldn't go with her.

Daisy says she never had the chance to explain. Uh, at any point in time, you could have said: I sleep on the sofa bed or he sleeps in the garage; he and his sister are like family cuz my family sux. I think he's paying the rent and she plays the sympathy card and offers services for her portion of the bills. At one point she said he didn't have a job and she was paying the rent. I don't believe a word that woman says.

I know that I should know better, but I just watched the reunion show and I kind of believe that Brett and Amber are the real thing. I wonder what toll the distance and careers will have on their relationship, but they seemed really sweet together.

I obviously need a shrink. They seemed happy.

Heather and Daisy fight? Totally staged. He used her, but she offered herself up on a platter. She could have explained at any time, but never said a word until busted on each item. Sad.

Rock of Love 3, starring... I can think of several unattached rockers who might be good for another couple of seasons.

Richie Sambora, if he gets his legal problems straightened out. He kind of has that likability thing like Brett does, no matter how skanky they act.

It's not like the guy didn't try to talk to her about her life and other things. She just doesn't have the brain power and emotional stability to put several thoughts and sentences together.

I think they're both independent people who will have lots to share each time their schedules allow them to be together. How long it will last is something else. I'd guess a lot will depend on whether he's actually ready for a relationship rather than a bunch of Daisies.

Arkie? Arkie, wherever you are. Bret's going to be at a bar about a mile or so from me on 8-5-08. I was almost hoping he'd be in town for the tentatively scheduled peep meet. He'll be at a bar, a big bar, not a huge auditorium. Shuckles.

He slept with Daisy the night after he slept with Ambre. Then he commented at the reunion show that he wanted to sleep with Daisy but she wouldn't be in the mood....

um....yeah, I see this lasting foreva....

I'd watch Richie though...maybe after a little 'celebrity rehab'?

Brett will be on Don't Forget the Lyrics tomorrow night. Thursday, May 1. It's at 8:00 pm CDT.

Someone mentioned it above and I looked for it last week, but it apparently wasn't on. Now I've seen commercials for it for this week. I don't know if he'll remember the lyrics, but he does have a great singing voice. Should be fun to watch.

One thing that fascinates me is that he's coming across as a regular, ordinary guy who happens to be a rock singer and goes on tour, which is when life gets crazy. Watching Rock Star INXS and Super Nova, I sure don't get that impression from some of these guys.

There was an article in our Sunday paper on Bret. From his quotes, it didn't sound like he and Ambre are an "item." My guess is that they'll be good friends due to busy schedules and that's where it will end. He basically said he wouldn't rule out a Rock of Love 3 in the future, but it's not where his mind is now. He's got other things in the works. It seemed as if he was talking about musical projects in the works, not a girlfriend.

This is why I gave up on shows like The Bachelor and Outback Jack and the Millionaire who was an ordinary guy. The last bachelor -- Brad? -- seemed to have some serious commitment issues. I'd say Bret likes his sex and likes his friends and can't put the two together. Rock of Love, however, came along during the writers' strike, I watched it and really got hooked on the whole sleaze-emotional train wreck factor. I can't wait for the day I turn on some local show to find Ambre hosting it. In fact, I wonder if I already have and didn't know it.

Don't know when they taped "Lyrics", but there was a woman with him, long dark hair and silicone, whom he introduced as Leah, a friend he met by the tour bus in Des Moines -- made a joke of it, but said they were friends.
