Please keep all discussion of tonight's show in this thread until 11:30 PM EST. I know, it's a strange time, but blame Fox who decided to air a one-hour results show for eight contestants and start the program on the half hour. I don't know what they're trying to accomplish.

I won't be able to join you until after The Amazing Race concludes at 9pm, so please include as much detail as possible on the filler I am missing. I'm counting on you. (Everyone knows that it's only that last four minutes of the show that means anything, anyway.) Have fun and see you at 9pm!!!

He looked like he took the clothes from ##### Clark last night lol. Too staid and too stiff looking. Hey, isn't AI supposed to be hip?

It's an hour show so lots and lots of filler...

Right now a message from each of the idol's families to them after a discussion of what they miss from back home.

Most of the southern kids missed the food from back home.

Sorry to bug you. I haven't kept up with all the threads
so I wasn't aware I was regurgitating a previous topic.
Honestly, I couldn't care one way or another about the
sexuality of anyone (well, maybe my SO!) I guess I was just
following some previous thread like a puppy, completely
unaware.

Videos from home. Youngest of 5 boys (yikes!). His older brother is cuter. Brothers could get him to do anything if they put a time limit on it.

Ace says he is never comfortable on Wednesday nights, has too much experience on stage.

Why does it seem that both Ace and Elliot sound better tonight than they did last night?

Even Elliot in the end if the show clip sounded better imo than his performance.

Seems like Ace knows he is going.

Also, Ryan, duh, when you always want to bring it down between two people--ala Paris and Bucky at the end of the row with one of them safe and one of them not safe..., the person sitting next to them KNOWS they are definitely bottom three before you tell them. Elliot knew, too.

Bucky's Video talks about losing the race track, Bucky is the biggest thing that happened since the track is gone.

Paris' video wanted to do senior year in atlanta. Paris didn't want to sing anymore, wanted to go to be a doctor.

Bucky wasnt great but he isnt usually good.. Ace I definitely thought should go... I was also hoping Kellie would go but the Black leather biker thing along with the boots appealed to too many fantasies of men and women.. 8)

I have to admit, the guy is one of the most "real" contestants on this show ever. I'm liking him more and more every week, especially the personal family clips tonight.

He's got an amazing voice, and he's simply "real". He's growing on me, and i hope he's around for a long time. I'm starting to picture a final two of him and Taylor as opposed to Taylor and Chris.

Sorry to any Bucky fans, but I never could see why he even made it to the top 12. (He did seem like a really good-natured person though and not stuck on himself at all.) Then again, how did some of the other people make it to the top 12???

Kellie is the worst, but I knew she wouldn't go.

elliot was bad in the beginning .

he either could not catch up with the music or just tried to 'play up' his r&b thing too much.

but his last 3 lines or so were very good.

Even though I think Elliott has the best voice of all the performers, I think he has very little of the "IT" factor.

This is not a contest to find the best singer. It's to find a passable singer with charisma.
