We're back in Switzerland and the guy is still yodeling on the mountain.

Hockey brothers are the first to leave at 2:50 am. Make their way to Dresden, Germany by train! They have to make their way to the Ministry of Finance there and pick up a Ford Fusion to drive.

Brak brak, lots of noise from Max and Katie as they leave the mat, brak brak.

Country singers talk about how they want to go to the final two with Bates and Anthony.

Teams catch the train leaving from Basel at 5:18 am. Doesn't look like any team has been left behind.

Bates and Anthony are looking for one of their bags - seems somebody might have swiped the bag while they were sleeping. Caroline/Jennifer offer up some of their thongs to Bates to help him get by in the meantime.

We're now in Dresden. Off to the Ministry of Finance building. Teams must undertake a Ford Challenge - answer three questions to get their next clue. (one question was "Which President said 'tear down this wall'" ... one team answered "John F. Kennedy" Another said, "was it Roosevelt?" Oy. The education system at its finest, ladies and gentlemen.)

Answering all three questions correctly eventually lead the teams to Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.

Now in Berlin... Teams pick up their next clue at the Gate which tells them to go to Park Inn Hotel.

Country singers lose Hockey Brothers in traffic. Aww.

What are they teaching kids these days in history class?

Well given how old the history books are in a lot of schools they may not include the 1980's. It wasn't history when the books were published.

Note it was the Rush Limbaugh listening confessed conservative that didn't know Reagan said it.

*facepalm*

Showing off the Ford Fusion, ask 3 multiple choice questions to get the clue and off to the Brandenburg Gate, which is hiding, and some teams seem lost trying to find it.

What caused the teams to get so spread out in the time they reached the cars?
Kate & Max had answered and left before any others arrived?
I missed something.

It's called "Taxi Roulette" where teams are completely at the whim of a taxi driver who may or may not understand your directions or may be wanting to drive up the fare for a bunch of Americans in town.

thanks Pepe,
I knew I missed something.
I was "in & out" and didn't realize they had to take a taxi from the train station to where the cars were parked.
I thought the cars were at the station.

Now we're at the Park Inn Hotel. Time to go for a Base Fly! Teams go to the roof top of the hotel and then plunge down 37 floors to the bottom in a base jump.

This should be fun - is this what they meant by a psychedelic experience? Vomiting in psychedelic colours as they plunge down?

Katie is first to go down, and she seems to be handling it well. Max is next and he didn't look too stable at first, but eventually enjoyed himself as he went.

Detour! Train Trials at the Deutsche Museum for trains to put together a set of model train tracks and complete a circuit ... or ... Font Follies where they carry large letters through the streets. The letters look like they'd be pretty heavy to lug around.

Meghan is now plunging and Joey is reacting worse than Meghan even though he's just watching her go down. Might need to cut down on the sugar in your Wheaties just a tad, Joey.

Max and Katie finally find the Bushstaben Museum which is the ending point of the Font Follies detour. It is here that teams get the clue to go to a place called Salon Zur Wilden Renate. Three other teams are also doing the Font Follies detour while Joey/Meghan are the only one doing the Train Trails one.

Road Block - experience a dance club and search a labyrinth to find a white room at the end of the maze for their next clue. Insert a coin and ... wheeee, sensory overload.

Meanwhile... Hockey Bros and Country singers are lost. One of the guys drop their letter and it breaks. They'll have to go back and get a new one.

Regarding the hockey guys - Was switching detours really the better option. They had to take a cab over to the train museum while they were delivering the letters on foot. Doesn't it make sense that going back and grabbing another letter might be quicker?

Agree, especially since they were now on their own and they could run faster without waiting up for the girls. They're hockey players - they got the size, strength and stamina to fly through this detour and could easily have made up some time.

The guys decide to go back and change detours.

The psychedelic experience continues and Katie finally finds the white room. Clue tells them to go to the pit stop at Kurfurstendamm.

Joey and Meghan are now on attempt number 7 with the model train circuit. They get it done!

Max and Katie are first at the pit stop and each win a 2013 Ford Fusion vehicle.

Joey doesn't know who said the 'Ich Bin Ein Berliner' quote so he asks people in the bar. One says "I thought you were with the cat police (?)." Finally gets the answer, JFK.

Bates and Anthony having a difficult time with the train detour. This isn't looking good for the brothers. The only other team not already at the Roadblock is Mona/Beth but they've been on the way for some time now.

Conservative girl...the worst nightmare ever.
Youtube boy, the coolest thing ever, do we have to leave, we are coming back to do this again!!!

We're back... and we're with Mona and Beth who have been driving around in circles for quite some time now, clearly lost.

Jennifer's doing the psychedelic experience now and gets the clue.

Joey and Meghan are team number two at the pit stop.

Finally, Mona/Beth find the Road Block site. Bates and Anthony also arrive at the same time, so we've got a race to the end, folks!

Caroline and Jennifer are team number three.

One of the Moms say, "kids this is what drugs are like, don't do them!"

Anthony is barely ahead of the Mom (missed which one it was that did the Road Block) in the white room. Going to be a sprint right to the pit stop mat.

Team number four is .... Bates and Anthony! A split second before the Moms.

It's a Non-Elimination! Mona and Beth are still alive and they'll have to do a speed bump in the next episode.

I predict a lot of history teachers in the USA will be calling in sick tomorrow - they`ll be curled up in a corner, rocking and weeping at the level of education displayed in this episode.

Funny how reactions are to different teams around the Internet. If a team that is not liked had followed another team to the PitStop and step on the mat just before a better liked team, there would have been lots of chatter about cheating. None when it is a team people seem to like.

We're in Scotland. Haggis, military tattoos, double-u-turns, alliances squaring off.

Looks like the Youtube/Moms alliance get the upper hand next leg. That coupled with the foreshadowing statement by the moms at the Pit Stop of slowing down the Hockey Guys - I expect Anthony & Bates will be seeing their face on that U-Turn board.
