"Does anybody know the weather?"

Thus far the elements have played basically NO part in anything that has
gone on. But this isn't a total desert. It seemed like the flaming arrow
competition featured some darkish clouds. And we saw the tiny whirlwind in this
week's preview. It could just be a pretty picture, but it could also foreshadow
weather event(s).

So does anybody have the weather for the area at about this time?

No rain. Do a search keywords "survivor africa links" it will bring up the sirlinksalot site, there is a weather tracking site there last time I checked.

"If all machines were to be annihilated at one moment, so that not a knife nor lever nor rag of clothing nor anything whatsoever were left to man but his bare body alone that he was born with, and if all knowledge of mechanical laws were taken from him so that he could make no more machines, and all machine-made food destroyed so that the race of man should be left as it were naked upon a desert island, we should become extinct in six weeks. A few miserable individuals might linger, but even these in a year or two would become worse than monkeys." (Samuel Butler, "Erewhon")

Actually, it is a semi-desert. You don't see much in the way of leafy trees; thorns are the norm. Rain is possible, but unlikely, and certainly not a deluge, like the one that created a flash flood in Aus.
