"24 - episode 1/24"

Just wanted to get another thresd started for last nights show.

I was glad to see Baruse take charge of his own destiny. I am hoping the Mom is going to turn on Dad and help Baruse.

I really hate that Jack is in another impossible relationship. I am not liking her character that much. Hopefully she will have a little more to give in the future.

BWD where are you with our spoilers???!!! lol

Loved the split screen near then end with Behrooz and Heller's son - both in peril in different ways, one taking charge and the other in agony. Nice juxtiposition.

Also loved the adrenalin burst in the first 10 minutes.

I was a little surprised at the revealing of our mole. I thought it was to obvious who it was, though of course, no one else will notice for hours.

I'm not that upset with Audrey as a lot of people seem to be - though it is weird to see Jack so caught up in emotionalism about a relationship other than Kim (btw - I saw a rumor recently that she may make some appearances).

There are some good spoilers for the next few weeks. If I get a chance I'll try to do some hidden text if BWD doesn't.

Yaaaay! We have another mole!!! Agree Sittem, like we didn't already guess. They practically tattooed it across her forehead.

My GAWD!! The P's are openly torturing and killing off their kids. Poor Behrooz. I hope he kicks some serious åss. The Sec. of Defense's kid just seems whiney and annoying. "I'm gonna sue! I'm gonna sue!" Daddy's like, "Sue THIS, kid!"

Wonder what Erin is gonna do to her daughter. Or, more likely, what her daughter is gonna do to her. She's a psycho Mommie Dearest if I ever saw one.

The first 10 min. is why I love this show!!

Is it ironic that Audrey's real name is Kim? Lol.

Did it look like Jack was almost snickering when Erin said, "I could use your help, but let's be clear, I'M in charge." He's like, "No problem." I seriously felt that he was trying real hard not to laugh.

<"I could use your help, but let's be clear, I'M in charge."

I'm sure Jack was thinking, "Yeah - just like the past three hours where I disobeyed your orders and made a one man rescue of the Sec'y. of State and daughter. I took out 16 terrorists all by myself. So where the hell is Chloe?! Get her back in here - NOW!"

Whatever, Erin.

I think Audrey is ok, but her estranged hubby is jealous. I also think he's a bad guy, but we'll see.

Yeah, soon-to-be-ex is giving off sinister vibes.

I really wish they would bring back Chloe, but I fear the worst. They tend to bring back a few bad guys and gals, but not the good ones.

hiya sittem (and bawdy and koko and everyone else)! i'm hooked on 24 now although i've watched very few episodes of the first 3 seasons. figure i'll come here and play with you guys, though i may be scarce everywhere else on SB (at least until survivor starts again)

also loved that split screen. stupid baby heller. what a frickin loser...sec. heller is like steel though, and i like audrey ok too

so far i'm finding behrooz' mom the most interesting character

also what happened to chloe's friend? maybe she and he will have some adventures "unofficially" helping jack in the remainder of the season?

*going off to watch a rented episode before TAR on the way to catching up with the first 3 seasons*

HE is in the house!! Great to see 'ya bud.

Chloe is being treated quite rudely - though she will be back. Maybe when mole get's exposed they'll realize they need her expertise to help out - or maybe even before that as the nuclear plants are being taken out.

I did love it when Heller turned on his son like that. Tough love, baby!

Great episode! A few notes:

1. I love the dynamic that the Araz family is bringing to the show. It's very complex. There are many motivations/agendas going on right now. I'd love to find out what Dina's is. I'm really rooting for Behrooz, which probably means he's screwed. We shall see.

2. Jack's rescue was exciting, but not really the highlight of the show for me. We've seen a lot of shoot-em-up stuff from Jack. It's beginning to blend together.

3. Richard Heller is an idiot. Why on Earth does this guy force this upon himself? If his "information" has nothing to do with the terrorists, they won't care!

4. When Navi was talking about the trial being a diversion, I immediately remembered the internet feeds and Andrew Paige. It should be interesting to see what happens.

5. Marianne is evil, eh? Sometimes it's the person you *most* suspect.

But Marianne is so obviously evil that she cannot be evil. Who knows who she is working for?! She must be a double agent and she's working for the President. We know from last year that Keeler is not as pure as my David Palmer.

I'm still around, just very busy.

I'm liking the show this season. Behrooz is reminding me of Anakin in Star Wars- he killed the killer- he's turned to the dark side.

I don't care for Audrey much either. Edgar is my favorite new character- he's such a goof. Like Chloe was last year.

Here's some spoilers:
Tony Almeida will make an appearance next week. Tony is out of jail and divorced from Michelle. Former Pres. Palmer will make an appearance for the final 6 episodes. Something Heller's son knows will be key to the story. Chloe will return for the final few episodes. Erin's daughter won't survive the day. (source TDT)

Am I the only one that doesn't like Sec. of Defense James Heller AT ALL? As stupid as his son is, I absolutely cannot believe that Heller told CTU to do whatever is necessary to get information out of his son -- for crissakes, last season, Saunders, a terrorist, gave up the location of all of the viles of the virus just so his daughter wouldn't be put in the hotel containing the virus. If a terrorist can show familial love, I am ticked beyond belief that Heller can't as well.

His son Richard was threatened with torture, not death, and Richard indicated there was something he was not revealing because it was none of their business or something like that. His arrogance just set his father off because of what he and Richard's sister Audrey had just gone through. Can't say I blame him.

I was watching with friends and one of them talked through the last two minutes. I saw Aisha Tyler's character (Marianne?) talking on the phone but did not hear a word she said. Considering this was supposed to be the cliffhanger for the week, I feel as though I missed something really important. Can somebody fill me in? Thanks!

Hi HD.

I can't remember exactly, but she said something about how CTU knew about the something or other. Basically, she was giving info to the terrorists.

She was reporting that they (CTU) had figured out there was a threat to the nation's nuclear reactors.

Or something or other.
